The response was that they will send us a letter in 7-10 days with their investigation of the matter.  That is fine, but we can't close this complaint until we see their letter as we do not know what their response will be to the fraud.

The Barclay representative assigned to this investigation was extremely helpful. Not only was he able to investigate the situation and come to an agreement, he was also able to have the overpayment amount electronically returned to my account (much better than waiting for a check). He has also agreed to reimburse the overdraft fee which was incurred.

We received Barclay's response basically stating it was their decision to raise the rate but nothing in the letter said why.  The account has never been past due-never.  My Fico score is over 750.  I would like to know why my rate was raised.  I would also like to know why they are not allowing me access to my fico score through them..which is supposed to be a benefit of the account.  When I attempt to view it I get an error message stating my acct is either too new(I've had it over a decade), or I have a freeze on my credit (also not true), or something else which was also not true-- then they said they reported it to their tech support--who were working on it (which doesn't seem to be true either), then someone responded (after months) it was because I am not using the account --which also can't be true because I haven't used the account in over a year and only then to do a balance transfer because of the rate.. also in all the terms I have yet to read that I had to use the account to get this benefit.  Can you get the correct answer from them?  I would gladly use the card but am prohibited by this rate which is normally a rate someone in default would have.

Problem:


A representative from the President's office - in a recorded phone call - at Barclay's promised to remove the entire annual fee provided that I switch to a different card. This promise has been broken. For the first time, I logged into my account today and see that the $89.00 annual fee is still present. They are scammers.

Desired Outcome:


I am demanding that the $89.00 fee be removed. I am beyond outraged. It states that on July 13, 2014, a minimum payment of $20.00 will be due. Moreover, the balance is now at $89.00 positive per the homepage of my member services page. I take screenshots of everything.

  I am currently on the line with a manager of member services. Barclay's response to my complaint was a pathetic refund on our account that has yet to have been posted. I am not sure if it just needs more time, but upon receiving the e-mail that the case has been closed, I felt the need to update how things are progressing on my end. I received a letter from the Office of the President, which is attached to this email, stating a credit HAS been posted to my account on 12/17/2014 which has yet to be posted. Upon calling member services to see what has been going on, they found no note on my account regarding anything of this nature. Did they just delete this whole ordeal?
 
Please help!
