The bank called following receipt of the complaint and I was assisted by a department other than the fraud department to have the fraudulent charges removed from my account. Problem:
I logged into my account today and noticed that my credit limit was reduced from $3,500 to $1,700. I have had this account for a few years. During this time, I have never missed a payment nor have I ever paid late. In addition, I pay more than the minimum amount due each month. I would understand the credit limit decrease if I missed a payment or was late making my payments. I think that it is awful that a customer who pays on time each month, and has not missed a payment, is treated this way.

I have just bought a cell phone and it was owned by someone who owed them money. I requested they stop calling me, but they have called repeatedly. When I requested a fax number so I could fax them a C&D letter, they refused and stated all written material is sent in writing. I have over 15 years oif experiance working for GLB, and Fleet Bank's collection departements. By NYS law, they were required to take my number out by verbal request. It is a sad state of affairs with modern bill collectors that they have no training in the FDCA.

I just received mail correspondence from Barklay card. They insist that they are unwilling to provide a prorated refund of the annual fee despite significant  changes to the user agreement. Regretfully, I can understand their position as they are a large corporate structure with the need to attend to the bottom line in lieu of the individual customer.

Revdex.com:
After numerous attempts to communicate with Barclay Bank I contacted Revdex.com and it was that intervention that prompted them to respond to the letter I had sent to the Office of the President three weeks previously. My letter to the Office of the President was 7th in a series of letters sent to Barclay Bank accompanied by death certificates and obituaries for my late Mother. While they never admitted wrongdoing, they did submit a check in the amount of $90.00 and referred to it as Fee Reimbursement. Had Revdex.com not intervened, I doubt if the issue would have been resolved. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this issue.
