I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The Fraud Alert on my credit report states I am to be contacted in regards to any attempt at opening a line of credit using my SSN... I was never contacted. However, swift efforts were made to remove the THREE inquiries on my credit report. It is disheartening that I have to fight constantly with businesses such as Barclay to keep my credit clean because the most feeble criminal can attack at any moment.

Dear BBC, I do not except the business’s response.  Every credit card statement I received clearly stated my credit limit of $22,500, and my cash available limit.  No where on the statements does it say we can give you unlimited credit, my employment does not allow me more than $25,000 in credit card debit and I purposely kept my limit under that for that reason.   My spending habits over several years never came close to this.  I accidentally hit the respond button before it was filled in.  The business should be liable for any charges over the limit since I was not made aware that my limit was reached and this is no where near my normal spending.  It’s not acceptable to have a credit card with a $22,500 and end up with a debt of $44,000+ with no knowledge of the charges ever be made.  thanks for helping the consumer be protected from these deceptive business practices, [redacted]

I have reviewed the documentation that Barclay sent out to me today and they have provided no proof that these inquiries were authorized by me, all they sent out were copies of application denial letters, no signatures, nothing in the documents they provided explicitly granted them permission to pull my credit report. These inquiries were not authorized by me, Barclay had no permissible purpose to pull my credit report. I will be forced to consult with my attorney about this issue as Barclay seems to be willfully violating FCRA laws.
