I still do not agree with this business's decision although it was brought to my attention that it was "TransUnion" the credit reporting agency that made the error in letting Barclays Bank even access my credit in the first place Barclays bank had no regards to my feelings or to why they weren't suppose to access my credit and call me first before they even ran my credit, they just said they did everything right on there end so that was it they couldn't help me and they never addressed the rude customer service I got the first time I called! So no my complaint is NOT resolved and I believe this inquire should be removed from my credit report immediately! Even though it wasn't there fault they had no compassion for my situation and TransUnion told me the only way this can be removed is for Barclays Bank to call or write TransUnion to have them remove it!

Every communication from Barclaycard and FAQ stated it was my responsibility to notify merchants of the new card number.  Further, the Barclaycard rep on the day I cancelled the barcalycard confirmed that no other charges could appear on the Barclaycard.  In a follow-up support call after the new charges appeared in May, Barclaycard changed their story and redefined how a cancelled card behaves and described a new policy they follow to accept recurring merchant charges regardless of my instructions.  This rep also withheld information on how to escalate my issue to the office of the president (in a follow-up response Barclaycard claimed that was because I asked for a phone number and the reps only have an address, so the rep logically provided neither. I see a pattern of deceptive and obstructive practice.
Barclaycard refuses to stop processing recurring merchant charges to my old Amex Card. I believe Barclaycard has repeatedly acted in bad faith and is trying to trap and prevent me from leaving their services thru a series of deceptive and unethical practices.
The only acceptable resolution from my point of view is for Barclaycard to stop processing charges on my account.

They trashed my otherwise stellar FICO score (from 840 to 699) because I was not aware that there was a small ($150 out of 12,500 credit line) unpaid balance on the card that I thought had being paid in full and was not in use of their credit card anymore (because Barclays voluntary changed Travelocity points program to a junk miles one). My e-mail did not work that time for technical reason and IT could not figure out what was wrong with it. Barklays Bank silently collected late fees and interest on the balance for 3 months and only after that send me a paper letter about delinquency and subsequent closure of my account. Indeed, they notified credit bureau agencies about a "serious" delinquency. The customer service rep was rude and helpless. I have 6 opened revolving accounts and was never late on any of them for more than 8 years. Couple of times when I was several days late I was always notified by Citi, Chase or BofA customer services about a possible late payment. My fellow Americans - please stay away from these scammers!
