I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sharp spoke with the customer and advised of the exchange offer. Customer accepted. Exchange was processed on 10/21/14. Customer will receive a call from NVC to schedule delivery appointment.

Customer refund for $250.00 has been processed. Customer will receive her check in about two weeks.

I am rejecting this response because:
The customer service of sharp did not contact me to set up the delivery appointment. I do not even have the voice mail message or email from sharp that talked about the delivery. The courier that sharp uses did not contact me either. According to the courier's information the shipment was transported to a wrong place and they haven't delivered the TV till today because they need to find it first.

I do believe Persons Read and Hear but do not understand, the set that I bought to REPLACE the FIRST SET DIED with the SAME EXACT PROBLEM, EXACT PROBLEM, EXACT PROBLEM, HOW do THESE COMPANIEs continue to SELL the SAME PROBLEMs OVER and OVER and OVER AGAIN and USE GUARANTEE and WARRANTY RIP OFF TACTICs to CHEAT the PUBLIC and the Revdex.com GOs RIGHT ALONG with it, THEY SOLD ME A TV KNOWING it WOULD HAVE the SAME PROBLEM, that is the COMPLAINT and it STICKs, F A C T !!!

If the proof of purchase can be located and submitted Sharp will cover the repair if under warranty. If purchased at [redacted], they can usually print a copy of the purchase receipt. Sharp requires a proof of purchase for all warranty support.

Sharp is contacting the customer to advise that Sharp will cover repairs to the microwave drawer.

Customer has been approved for reimbursement of the purchase price.

Sharp tried to contact the customer on 8/18, 8/20, 8/21, and 8/25. Sharp also mailed the customer a call back letter. Sharp will cover the repair of the television when the customer returns our calls.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have not been contacted by anyone about this tv. How is this ok to have 2 TV's have these issues let alone a brand new tv? !??!

Sharp will contact customer to offer a new exchange to resolve the complaint.

An exchange for a [redacted] was processed on 1/13.

Customer model [redacted] comes with a one year parts and labor warranty. Due to the customer being out of warranty, they were referred to a servicer for repairs.

Sharp Electronics has offered the customer an updated exchange offer and the customer accepted. Stock should be in next week and the exchange will be processed.

The model [redacted] comes with a 1 year manufacture warranty. The customer TV was purchased on 11/23/13. Customer called on 12/21/16, stating a blotch in the picture. The customer was referred to a servicer as the TV was out of warranty. The TV was deemed non-repairable. The customer was...

offered a prorated exchange due to the TV was out of warranty over two years. Sharp cannot provide a replacement for free of charge.

because this is unacceptable. Back-light failure is a very common problem in these models and has yet to be properly addressed by the company. ANY other LCD can have these lights replaced if/when they fail, but not SHARP? Completely ludicrous! Expecting the customer to then out-of-pocket even MORE money for a refurbished TV of the exact same model which will undoubtedly suffer the same fate as the previous one is horrible customer service and should not be rewarded.

Sharp has worked with AM-Tran to resolve the customer complaint. The customer will exchange the unit at the PX.

Sharp has set the customer up for an evaluation of the television in question. The apt is set for 10/10/15.
