Sharp has exchanged the unit for the customer. The exchange should arrive in about 7 to 10 business days

Sharp cannot match up any records of the customer information. Does the customer have a case number? The notice states that the customer purchased the television on 2/2012. The television comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. This would put the customer unit over 2 years out of warranty.

Sharp offered to exchange the unit for the customer. Sharp does not cover installation as the trim kit is bought separate as an accessory. Sharp can provide shipping label to have the unit picked up by FedEx at no cost.

Customer was approved for a reimbursement. The process has been started to reimburse the customer.

Customer could not provide a proof of purchase. When a proof of purchase is not available the date of manufacture is used. The date of manufacture is April 2012. This model comes with a 1year parts and labor warranty. Sharp cannot assist as the unit is too far out of warranty per the date of...

manufacture. If the customer can provide a proof of purchase the case will be reviewed for assistance.

I am rejecting this response because:Brand new Sharp microwave I...

purchased along with an additional installation charge of $150.00 to have it fit in my kitchen island was defective and would not work at all. Since this new Sharp microwave had to be removed, the installation cost of $150 was for nothing. If the new Sharp microwave had worked as a new product should, the installation cost would have been justified.I am requesting reimbursement of the $150 I paid to have the new Sharp microwave installed, since it had to be removed because it would function. This has nothing to do with a trim kit, this involves a Sharp defective product - microwave that was sold as new and purchased by a consumer assuming that it would work, which it did not.

An exchange was processed for the customer on 4/28/16.

Last Friday I was contacted by Sharp, and when I finally spoke with someone, I was told that they were going...

to exchange the tv for a "different" model that would be easier to get in stock. Then once again I am told that the tv they are going to replace my defective tv with is ALSO out of stock and we are getting close to 3 months they refuse to honor the warranty exchange, and will not replace it with one of the 3 models I suggested that would be in stock right now that I mentioned in my original complaint submission. 
I am rejecting this response because once again I'm told that I have to wait on a tv that is out of stock AGAIN.

Sharp advised the customer that the unit will be exchanged due to the customer unit due to parts. Sharp reviewed the calls and the customer was advised that the defective unit was to be returned in exchange for the replacement unit. Sharp advised customer that if they can provide a valid recycle receipt, Sharp review to deliver the replacement unit without the original being returned.

Repair was completed 7/31 and was deemed successful.

Exchange was delivered on 2/6/15

Sharp offered the customer an exchange. Customer accepted. Exchange was processed and the tracking is [redacted]

Sharp Electronics is no longer selling televisions. We only have refurbished stock to offer. We can only offer a 90 day warranty. You are able to purchase an extended warranty by calling ###-###-#### within 30 days of receiving the exchange.

The customer unit was repaired on 7/31/16.
