Sharp offered the customer a NEW LC70UH30U or a refurb LC70UD27U with a 1 year warranty. Sharp cannot offer the customer a NEW LC80UH30U.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have done a factory reset on my unit and once you hold down the input and volume down button it turns the tv on, you then press the volume down and channel down at the same time and it shows all your tv info, the date specified by the manufacturer is incorrect by more then a year. And I know a tv built in "2012" like sharp is stating would not have new software in it. Or a newer dom. I am still in the process of trying to locate proof of purchase I have [redacted] working with me, it is a shame to know sharp will not step up and fix a mistake knowing it's an ongoing problem with this specific model tv. Thank you!

This was the second of several offers that Sharp has offered me.  Back in mid August, this was the offer provided by Sharp.  I accepted the offer only to...

be told that they no longer had the TV, which has been the outcome of each offer I have accepted.  Sharp not only has a dubious record when it comes to their 4K television line with what is obviously a manufacturing defect, but their utter disregard for customer service should warn folks not to bother purchasing these poorly made TV sets.  I have asked for the 80" as compensation for the more than 6 weeks of getting the run around.  In lieu of that, as I have written to them and sent via FAX, I will accept the NEW LC-70UC30 if it comes with the full one year warranty.  Over the phone, I have been told it would be less than one year from the date they exchange out the new TV.  If they believe in the product they are selling, than I do not see how it costs them anything to offer a full one year warranty from the date I receive this replacement TV.

delivery I noticed a sticker on the back stating that it was a refurbished TV. I was suspicious when there was no batteries or registration card included in the box.   It was also a different model (LC-70LE660U) than the one I purchased ([redacted]).  I am quite disappointed that Sharp would send me a "used" TV to replace a defective "new" TV.  To say that "we will send you a new TV" and then send a refurbished set is deceptive.  How does their warranty apply to this refurbished TV?  How do I know how old this TV is?   Where is the customer satisfaction in this deal?

to Sharp Electronics about what to do next. We did that this morning and got the same run around we had been getting before so we feel we are back to square one. We are asking for a full refund but the "Customer Service Rep" tells us they cannot do that but will not give us the name or put us through to the party that can authorize the refund. The phone number we were given by the freight company to contact at Sharp always rings busy, so we are unable to connect with that person. Hopefully you can help us get this issue resolved and get our money back. Thank you.

pictures that were taken of TV this device has a chip that is too big for component and a chip is cracked in two places. This is not a warranty issue but a recall there is no way a new TV should have this type of component installed in it.

Sharp is in the process of reimbursing the customer $1399.95 for her unit.

Customer phone was delivered on 12/3. Sharp will extend the customer warranty three months for the delay.

Customer was approved for a reimbursement. Sharp has left a message on 2/1/17, 2/2/17, and 2/6/17. Once the customer contacts Sharp we will begin the reimbursement process.

do not close this complaint because the issue is still not resolved.  The company I filed complaint against, Sharp, had a response of "File is under review for reimbursement for delay in stock. Customer will be contacted".  I am willing to give Sharp time to contact me, but I could not reply to Revdex.com stating "I accept this offer" because complaint would have been closed with assumption of resolved.  Until Sharp takes action, this complaint is active.

I am rejecting this response because:    Sharp sold a bad batch of defective TVs.  We spent almost 700 dollars on one of them.   We did some research and found out that the recertified tv that they are trying to replace it with have been failing too.   If this is such a good product, why won't Sharp go ahead and back it up??  90 days is not backing up your product.  We want our money back because now we are scared we will be out of money and a tv.  What happened to putting the consumer first?

Sharp cannot locate a casefile for the customer. Sharp Televisions come with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Customer will have to contact Sharp to create a casefile to see what assistance can be offered.
