I received a 4 week trial for which I attempted to cancel prior to the initial two charges on 11/25 in the amount of $24.99 each time, totaling $49.98.I emailed Shaw Academy Billing on November 24th, 2019 to attempt to cancel. I received no communication back. Again on December 22, 2019 (through the correct email address on Shaw Account, as this becomes an issue later) to request assistance on canceling my account PRIOR to being charged again. There was no response to my emails and I was then charged for the third time by Shaw Academy on 12/27 in the amount of $49.99. Again I emailed Shaw Academy Billing on January 1st, 2020 with no reply or acknowledgement in order to cancel or at least receive guidance on how to cancel. I was then charged for a fourth time by Shaw Academy in the amount of $49.99 on January 25, 2020. Then Shaw Academy charged my account for a fifth time in the amount of $59.99 on February 24, 2020. Within this time, there were multiple emails sent to Shaw Academy via different email addresses to find my account.When they FINALLY looked, they found the initial account I requested in the first place.They claimed they did not have any of my email addresses on file and could not locate my account, UNTIL after I received my final charge, for they magically found my initial email address on file but it was too late.They knowingly charged my account after ignoring my multiple attempts of communication with them and refuse to refund any of the amount taken out of my account and cited their cancelation policy although I attempted contact with them for assistance for months. I have multiple time stamped emails requiring assistance, and their few responses stating they could not find my account after I gave them ALL email addresses I have to have magically found my account after I was charged again and again.

Greetings,I want you to know that I really tried to give Shaw Academy another opportunity after the first issue I had where they charged me $29.99 for their plan, even when I cancelled my courses before the trial.Now is the second issue in the month and to be honest I've had enough. I signed up for Shaw Academy because it gave me flexibility with my time, but now they are making me waste time and money.It turns out that after watching the first lesson on my phone, I had trouble finding my second lesson which was scheduled to start right after my first lesson. After all, I refreshed the page and this time I was able to see the "join class" button, but when I clicked on it, the page kept loading my first lesson even though it was finished already. So I went on the main screen to check again, clicked on "course page", and instead of taking me to the page I was looking for, I got charged another $29.99 for their module. A module that I haven't used and will never download, because I did not intended to purchase it in the first place.I don't know how this guys are doing business and I was willing to give them a chance, now I want my refund back.Thanks

This business offered a free trial, which I signed up for with my debit card information. They wrongfully charged me for other services that I did not consent to, using my card on file. I have tried for a week to get this refunded, and to cancel all services associated with them, including deleting my card on file. They do not offer any phone number and make you jump through hoops emailing, trying to cancel through my profile, calling a phone number (going through a ten minute call that leads to them telling you to send an email) - all with no response from the company after a week. If they do respond, it is a generic message, rejecting your claim. Basically they continue to charge your card on file and reject your actions to try to remove your informations, which is fraud and illegal. It is basically a scam.

I want my debit card deleted from their system (there are so many accounts online of them recharging people and having another nightmare trying to get them to stop). No longer interested in keeping a subscription with Shaw Academy, I had attempted to cancel. Unfortunately, Shaw Academy took me down numerous rabbit holes in order to attempt to keep me as a member. First attempted to cancel through the website. But that was unsuccessful after going through numerous pages of unethically attempting to bate me into changing my decision. Finally reached the last page and required me to call in order to "complete the cancellation". I called and was taken through multiple prompts attempting to once again, CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION. I reached the final prompt and then require me to now, email ***@SHAWACEDEMY.COM. I ultimately, I want this solved. This company is highly unethical and blame myself for being bated into believing this was a credible organization.

Signed up for free 4-week course through T-Mobile promotion and cancelled same day but no response or no confirmation
I signed up for a free promotion for four week course on April 2nd and after reading many reviews I decided it was not for me so I cancelled the same day April 2nd. It says click here to cancel then it says to call the number which I called and then the recorded message says to email a cancel confirmation which I have done several times and still no response. There have been thousands of people that this is happened to I don't see how this can keep going on they purposely mislead you and so you can cancel at any time when you actually do cancel they ignore your request or say they can't find your account in their log

I wanted to try your service for the free trial during the month. I even set up a reminder so that I would actually cancel the service after the free month.On the last day, I got a call from your company in NYC, asking me if I wanted to continue, to which I replied "no.". She said okay, and it was only that.Later, I noticed a charge of 70ish CAD. It was for a whole entire month.When I saw that, I decided to call the number to cancel my subscription and asked for a refund since I only used 2 days of my month and I clearly said I didn't want to continue.He was supposed to send this request to his "billing team" and send me a communication about that, but that never happened. So, I decided to e-mail him as he told me I could send him one. No answer after 5-6 days.So please, I would like a refund. Tough are times are happening, I am a college student which had to move during the COVID outbreak and I am low on money because of those two events (student and outbreak).Also, your main support e-mail doesn't work.

Unauthorized Charge to Credit Card
On 4/2/20 at 4:00 PM CST on the Shaw Academy website Guitar class, I hit "JOIN" icon to attend the 2nd 1 hour class (same as I had done in the 1st class) of a 4 week free trial promotion. Instantly after hitting the "JOIN" icon I was flash-notified I just purchased a toolkit. Realizing that they had my credit card information, I skipped the free class to investigate and found they had processed an unauthorized charge to my credit card for $34.95 for a Tool Kit. I contacted their customer service # XXX-XXX-XXXX 4/2/20 at 4:05 PM CST and nobody answered. I sent an email via their website to notify them that this was an error, requesting a refund, and received a response on 4/2/20 at 4:18 PM CST unique ID #XXXXXXX that the email request was received. Their response was they do not process refunds for Tool Kits, but they will give me more free stuff (supposedly worth $199) instead. I do not want more free stuff that I don't needjust the unauthorized charge for $34.95 to be refunded back to my credit card.

I have gone down this route before with Shaw and they just offered me more free stuff while ignoring the unauthorized charges to my account. I have cancelled the charges via my credit card company because they're response was so slow to the Revdex.com inquiry.

Signed up for free trial, tried to cancel wasn't able to, no where to be found on website. charged multiple times, different prices
I signed up with Shaw Academy for a free photoshop class trial. I never gave any payment information. Yet some how I was charged after the trial back in January on the 22nd for $49.99 then again on March 23rd twice for $59.99. So in total I have been charged $169.97 in which I never agreed to. I have tried to contact them via any contact number listed online and received no response as no one picks up the phone and there is no option to leave a voice mail. I have tried to email them about the matter and all of this and again zero response. I demand something to be done here. In these times where people aren't able t work and loosing money this is not a time to be taking money from people. Let alone stealing from those who never even signed up with a payment option.

I have looked in there FAQ about cancellation and the only option do so is if you signed up with a payment option which I never did so I dont have that option. Someone please help.

I have attached images of my account as it says active but yet free trial so how am I being charged and why. the option in which I go to manage payments and the screen it show as to add a payment but no option to cancel.

I was doing my first lesson in Shaw Academy, for Graphic Design and I accidentally clicked on something that said 'Toolkit' I do not wish to purchase this item nevertheless I was charged with 30. There are also some extra charges of about 30p per day! I have looked at some Instagram comments and they are saying that it is a scam website all over the place, I just want my 30 back. Some comments have also suggested that you need to CALL to cancel your subscription, that is absurd, they probably just want to offer you more deals and more advertisements. Is there anything I can do to solve this? On another note, they have also been calling me about 5 times after signed up,on Thursday

Misleading advertising and refusal to cancel & refund payment.
On March 27, 2020 I clicked on a link from Facebook to the Shaw Academy site because it said there was a FREE 4-week membership, which I was excited about. Once getting into the program I HAD to provide my credit card in order to proceed, thinking that there wouldn't be any charges until after the 4 weeks. Then, to gain access to the course, I HAD to click on the $34.95 tab in order to continue. I thought that it would go to a shopping cart and show the $34.95 with a FREE credit, but as soon as I clicked, it started to download and I immediately realized I had NO chance to "undo." I tried and tried and tried to find a way to go back, to stop it, to cancel RIGHT AWAY, but there was no way I could. I searched and found "Manage Payments" and continued to go into it to try to cancel but it continued to tell me nothing could be done for the next 48 hours while Shaw was working on my membership. That's when I IMMEDIATELY (within minutes) wrote them to ask to cancel everything because I couldn't do it through their site.

So, I did EVERYTHING I could on my part to stop being charged and cancel my membership IMMEDIATELY, but Shaw didn't allow it and had absolutely NO recourse for me. I feel I have been dooped, and am being forced to pay for something that I believed was going to be FREE, and they did NOT provide ANY way whatsoever to help me with this. I am on income assistance and have almost no extra income coming in right now, so I thought this would be an excellent way for me to check out Shaw and update my skills, but I am extremely disappointed in Shaw and the way you have set up this FREE ad, with NO way to help me during the process to "go back;" to "confirm" my purchase or change my mind; to stop the download; and now to get my money back. That is very deceitful!!

Not only that, as I look into my billing history, Shaw charged me an extra $4.00 for a "Card Validation Charge!!!" What's that all about? Why a charge to begin with, then why four times?!! That is absolutely unnecessary and a money grab if you ask me.

I have NOT opened any of the emails or attachments and have NOT looked at any of their course materials they have been sending me. The only thing I have done is a) wrongly clicking on their ad, and b) downloading the course, presuming it would be free for 4 weeks. Not only that, but if you look at their site, you have to pay for everything you do, including getting a certificate.

So, all in all, this has NOT been a good experience with this company. It has NOT been a "happy & hassle-free learning experience," as they state it will be! I have been so frustrated with it all. I would think that if I sent in a request IMMEDIATELY upon action saying this is not what I meant/wanted to do, they would gladly refund me my money; after all, it is a drop in the bucket for Shaw, but would help me to buy some groceries, being charged $34.95 (CAD) plus an extra $4.00 to check my credit card 4 times!!

That is what I wrote to Shaw, and their email reply to me on March 30th included more offers, and the following paragraph: "Once the Toolkit is activated in your account it is made available to you and we have transferred the content to you hence it cannot be disabled as it was provided therefore, we cannot refund."

As I already said, there wasn't even any way on their site to "Undo" or "Cancel" right away as I was initially setting up the account - there was absolutely no way out!!!

Please help me get my money back!!! Thanks!

I just want all of my money back that Shaw took from me, in Canadian dollars. I would also like them to be forced to stop dooping people and allow a cancellation or "undo" when someone clicks on a link by mistake and see that they will be charged, so they don't have to go through what I've just gone through.

While it's nice that they cancelled my subscription, that is something I could, and was going to, do myself. That is not where the issue lies. The issue is the $34.98 charge in the first place, where I had absolutely no chance to stop or cancel payment immediately after clicking on a course on their site and the fact that they said it was FREE on Facebook. They should take responsibility on how they word things and how their site is set up to make you fail. I am simply looking to be refunded the money I was charged, so therefore this issue has NOT been resolved to my satisfaction.

They are not allowing me to cancel my trial or my membership. They have scammed other people too, and they're not allowing anyone to cancel.

I tried online course trial and the tool kit button is just a one click buy bottom, there is no confirm at all. The money directly deducted from my bank account. Wrote emails to them but no reply. Searched online got a lot of complaint saying the company is a scam. Every time you contact the priority email they provided, if you want to cancel they won't reply your request but replied saying I will offer you a better package more material and more value than what you have paid, you have to email them again and again to cancel

I signed up for this website, thinking that it would be a great opportunity especially during this time of quarantine. But then I realised you had to pay for materials and you had to pay for the actual diploma I was shocked. I've read lots of reviews and complaints now and they are doing the exact same to me by guilting me into continuing with the subscription. they keep saying how concerned they are with my goals and my 'commitment to my future'. They have repeatedly taken out and put back in money from and into my account without notification, and I do not want to have to cancel or lock my card just because I thought I was going to get a good qualification.

Refuse to refund for content not ordered of needed when web site automatically billed me.
I signed up for a free trial for a course and when I tried to select the link on my iPad web browser web page link to edit the course time schedule, the link did not work, but my touching the screen triggered another link very near by away to get a "toolkit" for the course for $34.95. The link was just text saying only "Get your Toolkit and buy now" and had what appears to be an arrow pointing to the right. The charge went through without my having a chance to confirm or stop it. They charged the credit card that I used when I signed up for the trial. I immediately contracted them and have not accessed any material from the toolkit. They refuse to return my funds and claim that the link said one click purchase. As you can see from the attached screen shot it did not and the arrow next to the text normally signifies you would be taken to another page. Keep In mind that the page was from an iPad mini and much smaller that the 8x11 screenshot I attach. I have asked them to cancel my account so there is no question that used the toolkit, even though I was interested in taking an advanced course advertised in the program. They have still not closed my account and despite several requests continue to refuse to credit the improper charge.

I want to cancel out of a registration before they charge my card. I have communicated through email as the site would not pull up my account. I was able to get in to cancel and then was told I have to call. I have called, been put on hold and hung up on. I want confirmation my CC is deleted from their system and I will not be charge for the after the trial period. I cannot get confirmation.

I signed up for a trial to sample their social media marketing courses. The only way to cancel is via phone. I have called the number multiple times and it gets disconnected. I believe this business may be a sham.
