I cancelled my account before the end of the trail and was still charged. My request for a refund are being ignored.
I was on a free course trial then given free course trial extension. I found out they were an unsafe company so I emailed asking to cancel my account and was told to follow instructions on line. I was given the free 1 month course extension on the 27th June and cancelled I followed the correct cancellation process over the phone as instructed as this was the only option given I did this on the 30th June and again on the 10th July just to make sure as it was automated and had many steps. I had issues with a faulty account before but this account was 'successfully' cancelled using the automated process well over a week ago the call took me through a long process then said press any button to confirm. I stayed on the line to make sure there were no further instruction. I used to receive emails every day but gladly they stopped. Then they started again when I received this new charge. I went to the Shaw site to check what was going on and was then given the option to cancel AGAIN this time online so I did. I shouldn't have to request a cancellation twice I was lead to believe it had worked as it was confirmed by the Shaw Academy's automated cancellation. They have denied my request for a refund and said they can take payment because they have my details. This is duplicitous, this is fraudulent and this is theft, thus it is a crime.

Desired Outcome

I require a full refund. I cancelled the free trail before the end of the 1 month addition in accordance with the terms and conditions after finding out they were a corrupt company.

Hi ***, We are extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience with us, We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged £22.99 GBP for the purchase Shaw Academy One Course Membership - Monthly Subscription) made via our Auto-renewal option, As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non-refundable charge hence we would not be able to refund that amount, Our intention was not to upset you in any way.

With Regards,

I signed up for a 4 week free trial & after Wk 2 & an absurd amount of calls/texts/emails I let them know I want to cancel but they refused to refund
I signed up for a 4wk free trial on June 30! After week 2, I learned that the material was not up to par to expectations! After receiving multiple calls/texts/emails from reps on a daily I let a rep know the week of 7/20 that I no longer wanted to continue my subscription and to please remove me from the contact list. They kindly confirmed I would be removed and nothing charged as well as no more marketing calls!

Unfortunately, then to my surprise on 7/28 I was still charged! I reached out to a rep to explain the situation to which she said oh we can't do anything and completely discounted everything but acknowledged that my subscription was cancelled!!!!

Terrible customer service!!!!

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund!!!! Especially due to the circumstances of the current world and COVID!!

Shaw Academy charged my credit card $69.99 for a certificate they say I applied for and I didn't.
Shaw Academy (air quotes), charged my credit card $69.99 for a certificate I did not apply for for a class I didn't take. The credit card was to reserve the class for free and if I wanted credit for the class I could apply for a certificate. I did neither and couldn't find a way to cancel my credit card or paypal off their account. When I was billed I thought I could get a customer service number for them but my credit card had nothing. Didn't know this was a scam company. When they are emailed they send an automated email in response pretending like it's an urgent matter to them saying I will receive a call within 48 hours and no one calls.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a refund of my $69.99 returned to my credit card.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 30, 2020

Hi ***,

I have reviewed your account as well as gone through your complaint. We would like to bring to your attention that the amount that has been debited from your account is for auto renewal of the course since you failed to cancel your account within the trial period. The auto renewal process is clearly mentioned in the terms and condition that you initially agreed to. we request you to email us at ***@shawacademy.com for further assistance.

Regards,
Shaw Academy

I signed up for a 4 week trial and attempted to cancel, but was billed to my account anyways and pushed into an active subscription I didn't ask for.
I added the trial to check their classes out, but wanted to cancel because I wouldn't have time to continue further. Their cancellation process is unnecessarily complicated and requires you to call them during business hours. I put my membership on pause, to call during business hours the next day, through which it said I wouldn't be charged, but the company pushed me into an active membership and charged me anyways. I didn't even use their service at all during this period and they billed my card anyways. What's worse, they don't have a contact # to reach out to them about such issues because they are aware of their fraudulent billing & charging practices.

Desired Outcome

Full refund as I was on trial, attempted to cancel, and had my membership on paused where it specifically stated I wouldn't be charged.

Charged for multiple services without authorization and won't refund. While the free intro was good, I didn't continue with the training.
April 30th I was looking at a "toolkit" and when I clicked on it for more info, was immediately charged without confirmation or authorization. I never opened the toolkit or even clicked on it, asked for a refund and was told they couldn't accommodate. Then they charged $70/month for two months without authorization. When I reached out about the newer charges, they basically said it was in the terms of the 'free trial' and they wouldn't refund my money. I had let the first one go figuring I could eat $40 but to have to eat another $140?!?!?! The whole thing seems and feels like a scam to me, not to mention the added cost of what they want for 'certificates' for their courses. The material I did see wasn't super detailed, very high level. On top of everything else, they said they'd give me $600 worth of classes since they couldn't refund my money...I don't want that, I want my money back! I didn't even finish the full trial, which they should be able to see (from a login/access perspective) since the solution is cloud-based. They can send me a zillion promotional emails but not one that says they're going to CHARGE me????
See attached screenshots of all the emails, most of which I deleted so you can't see the number of emails that came in for April, May and June...what you can see is that two weeks after I officially cancelled, they're still sending a ton. You can see from the screenshots I also emailed them about the sheer amount of emails they send.

Desired Outcome

Full refund for all charges

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 30, 2020

Hi ***,

We have reviewed your account and your conversation with the support team. The first email we received from you was on 24 April reporting about the One-Click purchase. Our support team briefed you about the terms and conditions which had clearly informed about One-Click non refundable charge, which you initially agreed to during the registration process.

On very next day 25 April you reported about the number promotional emails you receive, which was fixed.

After that we never received any cancellation request nor you have cancelled via the website. In the terms and conditions we have also informed you about the auto renewal process, which stated that if a student fails to cancel his account within the trail period, the system will auto renew the account and will charge accordingly.

If you have failed to read the terms and conditions, please visit the below link.

https://www.shawacademy.com/terms/

We charge our students on subscription basis and not based on their usage. You not using the service cannot be accepted as a reason for the refund. Please write to us at ***@shawacademy.com if you have any further queries.

Shaw Academy

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They sent no reminder or notification of the charges that would be made to my credit card. Ts & Cs are a good "out" to not have to refund people's money. I am not the only one complaining about this issue and no, their emails did not decrease. They said I would need to modify my email subscription, which there wasn't really an option besides opting out...which I am now MORE THAN HAPPY to do. No worries, I will use other means to make sure other people know about this scam.

Shaw Academy Response • Aug 01, 2020

Hi ***,

We are sorry to hear about your experience and inconvenience caused to you.
Having checked our records, we see that you have sent an email on July 17th regarding the payment.
We have now processed the refund of $69.99 (July membership charges)
I confirm your refund will be reaching your account in 4-5 business days.
We have stopped the auto renewal and please be assured that you will not be charged way forward until you reactivate it. The membership will be cancelled at the end of term.

Shaw Academy

Took money out of my account after account cancellation.
I cancelled my account a week before said date and they still stole $70 out of my account. When I confronted them about it, they gave me a load of *** about their policy. I had a picture of the cancellation so I sent it to them. I am currently still in battle with them. They are not letting people cancel their accounts. Apparently they are notorious for doing so. They are thieves and criminals running this website. Tell everyone you know to stay away from them.

Desired Outcome

I literally just want my money back and for them to erase my account information out of their database.

I signed up for a free trial through Shaw Academy and was deliberately misdirected and lied to so that they could take my money.
I signed up for a free trial with Shaw Academy on June 30th and subsequently was harassed by way of email, text, and phone call about attending classes. I was called by a representative on July 19th soon after attending my first class and communicated that I was no longer interested in the course. He tried to convince me to stay but after expressing my disinterest, he gave me instructions on how to deactivate my account. After receiving these instructions I called the given number and entered my account number XXXXX. The automated system told me I was incorrect several times after entering the number clearly displayed on their website. After attempting to cancel MULTIPLE times I was unsuccessful. The number I'd recieved the call from was now unresponsive and there were no further instructions on how to cancel my account. Shaw Academy then took $69.99 out of my account July 23rd for the "Premium Membership", even after I'd talked to a representative about canceling my account and attempted multiple times to cancel my trial before I was charged. I was not able to reach anyone on the phone after several attempts, due to invalid phone numbers listed on their site. I emailed Shaw Academy and was told they "do not have a calling team" which was a lie given I'd received a call from a real person representing Shaw Academy. The number listed on the website is not in service, so I called the number that I'd received incoming, +X(XXX) XXX-XXXX, and was given the voice of a response machine. After selecting cancellation through the phone, and listening to the automated system try to convince me to stay, I went on to select cancellation and the call dropped MULTIPLE times after I chose canellation and I had to call back repeatedly before the account was actually canceled. After searching online about how to resolve my issue it is obvious that many others have had my exact same issue. I have multiple screenshots of incoming calls, meaning I was lied to through email when they claimed they did not have a calling team when I was in fact contacted by individuals affliated with Shaw Academy. I also have records of outgoing calls to the same number in attempts to cancel my account in time. It seems that they have deliberately made it difficult to contact them to cancel my account and are also actively lying to customers about the way they run their business in order to take money from people. Please refund my money and make sure I am never charged again!

Desired Outcome

Please refund my money and make sure I am never charged again!

69.99$ needs to be refunded!
I signed up for a 4-week trial period on July 17, 2020. On July 18, 2020, I was charged $69.99 for a "Tool Kit" that I did not want. There is a "one click purchase" button on their website I accidentally hit and I was charged right away. The charge is labeled as a pre-authorized purchase, although I never authorized it. Additionally, their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. It took almost two weeks to get a response. Plus, you can't just cancel your membership directly from the website. You have to call them first. So I just paused my membership and wait for their response emails. On July 29, 2020, I finally got a phone call from their billing department and saying there's no way they could refund me money cause I exceeded the 4-week trial, by that time, my memory blurred and I thought it was the case as he said. And he offered me an extended 6 month free subscription. It was more like forcing me to accept the offer or I'll be left with nothing but the charge of 69.99$. But I logged in my account again right after the call and found out my account was apparently within that 4-week trial. This time, I tried to call back to cancel this membership first, but they won't let me do it cause they need to talk to billing department first about my case. It's been super frustrating as they don't care about their customer experience and not trying to fix the issue, instead, putting us on hold till it went with their refund policy, managing to steal our money.

Desired Outcome

I want my 69.99$ refunded.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Honestly, since I got the refund, I would love to let it past me from this point. But after seeing your solution response, it makes me furious. First of all, I am very positive I canceled my account within my trial period even though I did not cancel it right away for the reasons(their horrible customer service) I stated before(I paused my account so I did not use any of your service either).
This's the refund I'm supposed to get according to your terms and conditions. However, your service team makes it a long, hard process with your arrogant attitude and disregard of customer's complaints. I had to turn to Revdex.com to get Shaw Academy's attention. It's just sad. I want to tell you, with all my heart, this should not be the right thing to do for a company who wants to survive within online education market in the long term. If you keep losing your clients, one by one like this, you're going to lose your reputation, and eventually businesses .I feel bad for all the students who had go through this like me. And I feel shame for Shaw Academy putting no respect and sympathy on their customers.

Next time, the first thing you should not do is to accuse the students who come to you for help, instead, try to understand their frustration from their side. As you were saying before, as an online edu company, you do not simply want money from clients, but do you really? A good business should start with a good intention, which is helping people.

Anyway, I'm happy I got my refund after almost 3 weeks of frustration and a constant feeling of being deceived. I made this effort to write all these just to give Shaw Academy a kind reminder from a customer's view. And I deserve a sincere apology from Shaw Academy.

Hi ***,

Your refund has been credited to your Card ending *** on Jul 30, 2020.

This business is charging me every month after I have cancelled my membership.
Shaw Academy has charged me a "membership fee" for the month of June and July 2020. The total amount is $139.98 with the two months I have been wrongfully charged. I made sure to cancel my membership before the end of the 4 week "free trial" period by calling a representative, who tried to lure me into keeping my account by providing certain "upgrades" which I politely declined to cancel my membership there and then. My account clearly said it was CANCELLED after the phone call. Even then, the business has charged me for two months on my credit card that I cannot remove from their website! It is ridiculous how this business charges you with the hopes that you will not catch them sneakily charging your account. The fact that they make you call them to cancel your monthly subscription but will only provide an email address for a refund is odd in itself. So many other people have called this business out for being a scam (which was a big red flag, but I only saw that AFTER signing up), and I agree. NEVER use their service, even for the "free trial" period unless you want to fight them and your credit company for a refund/charge back. It is the best if you don't give them any of your information and leave them alone.
I have sent a refund request to the email provided (***@shawacademy.com) on 7/28/2020, so I hope the business gives me a refund and never charges me again.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund for two months of the membership subscription fee. Also, please permanently delete my account/credit card information so there will be no future charges.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept their response, as charging me for 2 MONTHS for a service I NEVER USED is nothing but a scam. Your "terms and conditions" do not apply as I specifically CANCELLED the "auto-renewal option" BEFORE the "30-day free trial" period ended. SHAW ACADEMY SHOULD HAVE NEVER CHARGED ME THE $139.98 FROM THE START. It is the company's MISTAKE, and they are REFUSING to give me back my money. Also, this company has never replied to my email that I sent to the email they provided in their website to ask for a refund; yet they reply on Revdex.com because they know other people can read this opposed to my email. Unbelievable. I want my refund for your mistake.

Shaw Academy Response • Aug 01, 2020

Having checked our records, we see that the refund has been credited to your account on Jul 31, 2020 and another refund is credited on Jul 14, 2020.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I got an email on 8/1 responding to my email that they have issues a refund. It hasn't hit my account yet, but I will be keeping an eye out for it. I'm not sure why the email response and the Revdex.com response was drastically different. It would've been easier if the refund was issued faster. If I don't get the refund, I am reopening this case.

I signed up for a free trial with the company. When I tried, more than once, to cancel my subscription before I would be charged, I could not.
I attempted to log on to my account and cancel the account before the free trial was over. The number I was given to enter as my student ID came back as an error, so I was unable to cancel. Today I was charged $99 dollars for services that I am not using and had tried several times to cancel. There is only an automated system, so I cannot get anyone on the phone who I can ask for assistance.

Desired Outcome

I want my money refunded in full.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

shaw academy has been engaging people into "free trial" courses and misleading information.
I enrolled into a "free trial" course, I was supposed to not be charged if I cancelled before one month, however, when I started the course, I realized how bad it was, as I was never able to watch the videos, so I cancelled after the first class (next day after enrolling)
not to mention they never sent me a confirmation email of it. Next thing, I open my bank statement and saw they still charged 39 EURO.
So I email them and kindly ask for a refund, they told me cause I had purchased the certificate AND HOW I'M I SUPPOSED TO HAVE A CERTIFICATE OF A CLASS I NEVER ATTENDED AND CANCELLED!
So I got very annoyed and told them I was filling a complain at the GARDA STATION IN DUBLIN AND THE EUROPEAN CUSTORMER CENTRE, besides the Revdex.com complain and trustpilot, and my own bank investigation.
So after all that, they sent me a message telling me they are refunding me in about 7 days or maybe less, even sent an invoice, although I dont know if its real.
However, I contact my bank again and they told me I'm set for an authomatic montly renewal.
I want shaw academy to refund my money first of all and delete all kind of information theyve got about me.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.
As many people has been thru the same situation, sometimes with more money; also notice that THEIR CERTIFICATES ARE NOT VALID, NO SERIOUS INSTITUTION RECOGNIZES THEM, read it yourself here:
***

everyone should report this company to their local fraud authorities as they are luring people under lockdown with the only will of learn something new.
THANKS

Desired Outcome

I WANT A REFUND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE I WANT SHAW ACADEMY TO DELETE MY BANK INFORMATION AND MY NUMBER (AS THEY SEND A LOT OF MESSAGES) I DID NOT CONSENT ANY CHANGE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND I DONT WANT ANY OTHER IN THE FUTURE. IN FACT I DONT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS SCAMMERS, AS THEIR APPLICATION IS USELESS AND EVEN A 2 YEAR FREE ACCESS TO THEIR COURSES WOULD BE POINTLESS.

Unauthorized billing and trouble cancelling. Horrible product and customer service. Spam.
I signed up for a free 4-week trial with Shaw Academy a few days ago (July 24, 2020). After getting large amounts of emails and notifications through the app on my phone, I was annoyed and also decided the course was not worth it, seeing further payments would be needed to gain modules, tool kits, certificates, etc. There was no option to cancel online, and I had to call. On July 27, 2020 when I tried to cancel over the phone, I was offered the module 1 toolkit for free as well as the certificate for completing the first module. I was pressured to continue the course and they wouldn't accept my request to cancel. After logging back on later to try the modules, I was having difficulty accessing anything. Upon checking my profile, I noticed I was charged $69.99 (CAD) for the subscription, which I did not authorize, as this was to be a four week free trial. I have emailed again to request a refund and cancellation and receive an automated response saying I will have to wait about two days for a response. I want my refund and cancellation as soon as possible so I don't have any more troubles from them.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund and subscription cancellation from Shaw Academy. I want all of my information out of their system once this is all settled and not to be contacted by them again.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

A transaction from my account was made without my authorisation. Another transaction was made, which I did not want, but a refund was denied.
I registered for a free 1 month plan at shaw academy. I stopped attending classes after the second day as I thought they weren't teaching anything just stating general knowledge. A few days ago a transaction from my account was made of $31, as a subscription fee, even when I hadn't agreed to a subscription. Afterwards when I went to their website to get a refund, I pressed a button by mistake, after which they directly made another transaction from my account of $45 without my confirmation or asking me if they had permission to take money from my account. When I emailed them about wanting a refund, they simply denied it saying it was already activated, even when I hadn't even used or looked into what I bought. I want a refund for both the unauthorised transactions made to my account. Total of $75 were stolen from my account.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund for my "purchases", which were unauthorised. I want to get a refund for the unauthorised transaction for the subscription and another refund for the other unauthorised purchase of the tool or kit. I did not authorise any of these purchases. My permission was not asked before taking away money from my bank account for these things.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 29, 2020

Hai ***, We are extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience with us, We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged for the purchase (Module Toolkit/Shaw Academy One Course Membership - Monthly Subscription) made via our one-click purchase option/Auto-renewal option. As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non-refundable charge hence we would not be able to refund that amount, Our intention was not to upset you in any way.

With Regards,

I was fraudulently charged a total amount of £339.88 for the service I never purchased. I request the refund.
Dear team,

In my previous conversation with Shawacademy I indicated that the money needs to be returned into my account and that the investigation was now opened by my bank.
As discussed before I've ended the trial period with Shaw academy. This was advertised as free of charge period (28 days).
In my first email I mentioned that I had two weird payments, but I didn't receive any invoicing details or understanding of what I am paying for, I also indicated that I couldn't get the access to the membership account.
You mentioned in your email that I didn't cancel the membership on time, however, and as mentioned above, I indicated in several occasions that I couldn't access the Membership page where I could cancel my membership.
Instead I've been charged 4 times on the following dates:
30th of April - 39.95, credit card

1st of May- 49.99, credit card

18th of May - 49.99, credit card

28th May - 199.95. credit card

Which makes £339.88, which is an incredible amount of money for the service I didn't purchase and didn't use!
Shaw Academy also never answered to the phone calls, that I am trying to make since May, when I had my first issue with your company.
I would like to make two points :
1/ This looks like a misleading marketing information with aggressive sales techniques.
In my opinion, this was done when you didn't give me the actual access to the platform to be able to cancel my membership, or to be able to select an appropriate option that I wanted to move with, and not the option suitable for your business
I didn't even have the opportunity to understand what I am paying for, as no invoices or statements where provided. Which leads to the fact that the service is not Fit For purpose, and as Described. The goods supplied must match any description given, or any models or samples shown at the time of purchase.
2/ The main point under Consumer Act, unfair contract term, was not respected:
A term may be deemed unfair if:

It is contrary to the requirements of good faith - meaning it must be designed, negotiated and entered into with the consumer in a fair and open way. Which wasn't the case as you make people to subscribe on unfair terms and conditions, with no opportunity to challenge or change any of the terms, through your digital platform.
It causes a significant imbalance between the rights of the trader and consumer to the detriment of the consumer.
Changing the price. Your terms and conditions does not stipulate the amounts chargeable, hence you charged different amounts each time.
Following the above I am urging you to return the amount of £339.88.

Desired Outcome

Refund of £339.88

I've been charged 4 times on the following dates:

30th of April - 39.95, credit card

1st of May- 49.99, credit card

18th of May - 49.99, credit card

28th May - 199.95. credit card

Which makes £339.88, which is an incredible amount of money for the service I didn't purchase and didn't use!

Shaw Academy refused to give me a refund after I cancelled my membership during the trial period.
I signed up for Shaw Academy's 4 week trial on June 23, 2020. I didn't like the course, so I cancelled via phone on June 26, and received a cancellation confirmation email. 4 weeks later on July 22, I was charged $67.97. I consequently reached out to Shaw Academy customer service and told them that I was wrongly charged, considering I canceled my membership within the 4 week trial period. The customer service representative notified me that they are unable to provide refunds after the trial expires, despite the fact that I have proof via my cancellation confirmation email that I cancelled my trial in the alloted time. Furthermore, after attempts at trying to appease me with other offers, they charged another $34.95 to my credit card - for what reason I have no idea.

This company is refusing to give me a refund, saying that it is my fault for not cancelling my free trial, even though I have a cancellation confirmation proving otherwise. Shaw Academy is trying to continue stealing my money by making additional charges, even while we are in dispute via email.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund from Shaw Academy, for the initial $67.97 as well as the second charge of $34.95. Furthermore, I would like written confirmation that 1) my membership is completely cancelled and 2) they will no longer be making random charges to my account.

I never purchased this toolkit. In fact, this charge was made to my account AFTER I cancelled my free trial/membership. This charge never should have gone through in the first place, as I have a cancellation confirmation email from Shaw Academy indicating that I cancelled during the 4-week trial period. The initial charge for my membership nor the subsequent charge should never have gone through, as I cancelled within the time period. Once again, I have included documentation of the the cancellation confirmation email I received from Shaw Academy. This email is dated WEEKS before my 4-week trial was originally set to end. My membership should have terminated after this email, and yet, you continued to make charges to my account.

I unfairly got charged for a free trial and the company is refusing to give me a refund for something that should not have been charged to begin with.
I signed up for a free trial course with Shaw Academy, and the website advertisement specifically said no charge until the free trial is over, and if there is any sort of unsatisfactory complaint, there will be a full refund. I got a charge of 69.99 dollars on my credit card even before I set up a time and date for my first online course, so I decided to not proceed any further and cancel the membership and asked for a full refund. This process lead me to 5 "are you sure? do you not care about your education?" pages, and after I finally got through it, I was instructed to call a number with my ID. When I called, the associate that helped me out kept trying to get me to stay on the membership worth 300 dollars. I refused and asked for a refund and cancelled my membership. I got a follow up email the next day saying it could not be refunded, but I will be offered a bigger membership that is worth much more than the previous offer. They also re-opened my account without my permission. I replied to them with the picture proof saying that it clearly states the date of which they would have charged my credit card. They kept refusing but this time offered a membership that is worth $1000. I don't understand how they will not give me a refund of $69.99 but offer a class that is $1000, and regardless I should be getting a full refund because I signed up specifically for a free trial AND have a proof of the date of expected charge.

Desired Outcome

I just want my refund of 69.99 dollars back. I would also like to report Shaw Academy for fraud and scam

Husband passed away company still took payment
My husband passed away less than 2 weeks ago and as such I have been unable to cancel the free trial, they proceeded to take payment and charge me for an e certificate even though I have attended classes for weeks on the 27th July, I contacted them by opening ticket number #XXXXXXX stating I require a refund as the card details charged through PayPal belonged to him. I received one response saying they couldn't process a refund but will give me cancel my subscription and give me 6 months free (confused by that offer), I told them I no longer require access to Shaw Academy and I do not need what they have offered. My husband was only 32 and had no life insurance in place, I need the money more than I need access.
I never got a second reply and now I cannot find a phone number, im wasting my time chasing them for nearly £70 I desperately need and contact companies making complaints is the last thing I feel like doing

Desired Outcome

I simply would like a refund of payments taken.

I joined a free trail and upon logging into my account was inundated with add-on payments. I bought a package, didn't use it, and want a refund.
I joined a free trial of the Shaw Academy, on 28th July 2020, planning to delete my subscription after one month, at no cost. After joining and logging into my account, I was immediately bombarded with add on purchases, like tool kits and extra costs to get certificates. I foolishly bought one of these tool kits as I was pressured by constant pop-ups. After only a few minutes on the site, I cancelled my subscription. I did not use or even download the tool-*** I had purchased. The toolkit cost £40 and I would like I full refund of this. When I finally managed to click through the site and cancel my subscription - made incredibly difficult through many unnecessary pages of advertisements and pleas to stay - I did not get any email confirmation that the cancellation was complete. I have, however, been inundated with texts from the company, requesting that I rejoin.

I am worried that my card may still be charged monthly fees, even though I clicked through to cancel my account. I would like a refund of the £40 I spent purchasing an unused toolkit. I've emailed the support team at Shaw Academy to request this refund, however, from reading reviews it seems that most people are unsuccessful at actually getting any response from them, let alone their money back.

This organisation made me feel very unsafe online, and I am now worried that my bank account has been compromised. Please assist asap.

I joined Shaw Academy under the email ***@gmail.com and used my Monzo card to register with the Academy.

Desired Outcome

I would like an acknowlegement of my email to them, and a sincere apology for making me feel violated online, in a supposed educational setting. I want a full refund of any charges made to my account (so far £40 but I'm worried there could be more). The company must assure me that they have in fact deleted my account, and that they no longer hold any of my bank details or personal information in their system.

They failed to advise of a charge attached to a product advised as "free"
I decided to sign up for one of their 4 weeks trial, but since I had to schedule the course and could not go at my own pace, I decided to cancel. In order to proceed they made me call them and the rep offered to reinstall the free trial and offered to "free" upgrade so I could try the course at my own pace. When I tried to use the course, they charged me $69.99 as apparently the upgrade was not free as the rep had advised me.
I contacted them and requested a refund and cancellation, but they advised they could not refund the money.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund of the $69.99 withdrawn from my credit card. Since I wanted to cancel from the first time I contacted them by phone and their way to keep me was by lying and not fully disclosing there was a charge attached to their "free product".

I cancelled my membership over the phone, as that' the only way to cancel a membership and they stole my money any way.
the free trail was for 4 weeks. after 2 weeks in I tried to cancel my membership everything is done over the phone with a bot not a person so I went thorough the process and cancel my membership. 2 weeks later I was charged $67.97 USD. so I went to complained and they tried to buy me off with more of there product that I did not want they even called it "an unfortunate event". when I emailed them and told them ied take them to small clams there responce was "One of our support staff will be in touch with you over phone to address your issue within approximately 48 hours" its been 3 days and they have my email on a bot that sends "Your request is being reviewed, One of our support staff will be in touch with you to address your issue within approximately 48 hours"

Desired Outcome

i want a full refund plus. the time i have to spend dealing with them i could have made money. im a small entrepreneur my time is money.
