The company charged me without my consent. Their customer support is seemingly non-existent and my money is gone.
I signed up for a free trial with Shaw Academy and was prompted to give my payment information. I was then asked if I wanted any add-ons or extras. After clicking on a button that simply said 'Course Toolkit - £39.95' to see what it was, I wasn't shown any additional info and was instead charged immediately. There was no clear indication that I would be charged immediately and the company seems to make money from these underhanded charges.

I would like a refund of the £39.95 they took from my account and no further money to be taken in the future.

I was charged for services that I never purchased.
I started a free trial with this company and was charged $69.99 for classes that I never attended and never signed up for. I followed their steps to remove myself from being billed and also deleted my credit card information from their website and deleted my account. However, I was still billed $69.99 the following month. This company has no direct telephone and has not responded to complaints that I have made.

I signed up for a 4 week free trial, and did not use it once due to illness. I was charged $69.99 before my free trial ended. I tried ending my membership online, and the website does not allow you. Since there email refusing, I have found other reviews from people also indicating that they have been charged before their free trial expired.

Two months later (May 2020/June 1st 2020) Shaw acadamy took 2 payments out of my bank account on 2 consecutive days.
Contacted Shaw Academy via email as still no live phone support.
SA refused refund saying there was no documentation I contacted them.
Through over 20 emails with screenshots, and a claim with my bank filed against SA, I was told I would receive my refund.
They only refunded the payment they took at the end of May.
Contacted SA again. Recevied a reply saying that I only requested a refund for April's refund.
There was no payment taken in April. Only back to back last day in May, 1st day in June.
Shaw Academy is now refusing to reply. Which they did before until I filed a complaint with my bank.
Their main office in the UK and I assume their satellite officess, are currently under investigation.

Taking money from my account despite cancelling my subscription.
I joined shaw academy on a free trial on XX-XX-XXXX and joined my first class on 08-05-2020. After this class I felt this course was not for me and called to cancel the subscription to which your employee agreed to cancel. I asked her to confirm if she had removed my details off of your systems and that you would not be taking any payments from me. She confirmed.
On 13-jun-2020 Shaw Academy took £49.99 out of my paypal account and had placed me on premium membership despite me having told them to cancel, WITHOUT authorisation. All payments should have been cancelled when I cancelled my subscription.
I have called them numerous times but their number is no longer in service. There is no way to cancel myself and they do not reply to emails.

Misled to click 'Get your toolkit' and instantly charged $39.95. From day I cancelled I started to receive SPAM SMS msgs. from dozens of phone numbers
Your service was below my expectations and I had no intentions to continue it. I was charged $39.95 for something I didn't even need or even know what it was.
I reported this issue even to PayPal with pictures to prove it, your buttons covers more than 50% of my screen and link appears on 3 or more locations.
When I called you to cancel service it took me 30 minutes to skip all offers you give instead of option to cancel subscription and at the end, when you 'allegedly' terminated my subscription, SMS spam marketing messages started to arrive to phone number my brother is using currently. He called me to say that hes cyber bullied and depressed because of it! Just because of your awful, scam, unethical business practice.

Shaw academy won't refund me my money when I couldn't cancel my subscription even though I submitted a query regarding the issue I encountered.
I submitted a query and explained why I couldn't cancel the subscription and have provided screenshots and numerous explanations on why I shouldn't have been charged. And still no solution, no refund. Shaw academy is a scam. They refuse to give me back my money and it makes absolutely no sense since their policies state you can cancel at any time however that is not true. They required a phone call where I had to provide a code and lucky for them they were closed on the weekends, therefore, I was charged the day after I submitted a query. I've been messaging them for a week now and have proven my explanations with screenshots provided. This is a fraud. I have never dealt with a dishonest scheme.

I accept there response because I waited to make sure they did live up to there response & they did. My refund has been processed as of yesterday night 6/18 @11:21PM! I'm so happy and glad that this weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I would just like to say thank you to the Revdex.com as I don't believe this issue would've been resolved with out you guys! I emailed the billing department since may and wanted to cancel. They agreed to issue a refund, but still charged me in may and june.

But I never received the refund in May and was still charged in June, despite thinking my membership was cancelled and never using it again. This is an unauthorized charge to my paypal and I would like ALL $70 back as soon as possible!

I canceled the membership in the free trial period. They still charged me $69.99. I asked for a refund, they refused.
I signed up for a 4-week free trial with Shaw Academy. Then I found out their contents does not meet my needs. So I canceled my membership on June 09, 2020, before the 4-week free trial ended.
There were several problems with Shaw Academy:
1, I followed the cancellation instruction from their website. I went through more than 3 menus on the website, pressed "I want to cancel" several times, but at last the provided a number you must call, then I tried to call multiple times, during their business hour, but nobody answered. I simply cannot reach them. I found there is a similar complaint from other person on Revdex.com, the case number is XXXXXXXX. Shaw Academy didn't solve the problem at all!
2. They charged me $69.99 on June 10. I tried to solve it with Shaw Academy first. I emailed them, explained the situation, and asked for a refund. They refused to refund me. They ignored my explanation that I didn't break the term and their cancellation process is not reasonable and not reachable. They repeatably tried to force me to keep using their subscription, which I didn't accept.
I believe it's a scam. They are fraudulent. They intentionally make it impossible to cancel the membership. This is completely unacceptable. Be aware, don't give your business to this company! Thank you!

I cancelled my subscription and have still been charged
I took a free trial online course with Shaw Academy in May. I didn't like the course so decided to cancel the free course so I wouldn't be charged. I tried to do this online on the site, but it advised to call to complete my cancellation. I called on the 13th May and spoke to a very pushy customer service rep who kept trying to get me not to cancel. In the end I had to be quite assertive and I say I'm not interested in the course and just want to cancel the subscription. I was then told over the phone that this had been cancelled and no further action was required. I then noticed 3 days ago that £49.99 was taken from my account. I tried to call the number I phoned when cancelling but the line is no longer in use. I then emailed the company and have sent screenshot of my cancelling online and my call log of calling to cancel. And they are saying they have no record of this

I signed up for a free trial of a photography course on the 12th of May 2020. They innstantly took 30p from my paypal account at which made me nervous. I attempted to close my account which I now know wasn't sucessful.
On the 9th of June (within 30 days an even 28 days) they took full payment for the course of £49.99 out of my paypal without warning. They intentionally took the money before midnight of the last day of the trial so you are tied in as soon as you are aware they are taking the money and you are unable to cancel as their phone line is office hours.
I have contacted them several times in the following days to arrange a refund to which have been ignored, however I have just been informed that I cannot have a refund due to their terms.
I can see from plenty of reviews online that this company make a habbit of this and taking money from unaware people without prior warning.
I have not used their service at all, I was lead to believe that I had canceled the account which I have since been informed that I hadn't. I have since cancelled the account after being forced to call during my own time to complete an automated message of manipulative and emotionally blackmailing language to close the account.

I feel that they had no intention of actually giving me a refund until I complaint to the Revdex.com. They have replied with a stock reply which is poor and I feel that this isnt good enough considering they made me phone up in my own time and then have a series of email conversations over the following week. They don't offer a good service, the qualifications the charge for are worthless and unncredited, they don't warn customers that their "free" trial is ending they just take the money. Then never intend to refunnd you. They should be investigated for fraud. A weak apology isn't good enough.

I cancelled on 06/05/20 after attending a course and was not satisfied at all with the product. Even free, I didn't want it. At this point I did not realize I had already been charged.
Later the same day 06/05/20 I noticed the charge and filed a complaint (ID number #XXXXXXX). No receipt was given for a charge.
They are claiming that I purchased a ToolKit, which I did not. I didn't want it when the course was FREE and I didn't want it especially after realizing how horrible the course and communications were.
I replied on 06/08/20 to explain further and again on 06/09/20. I have not heard back from them.

I canceled services with the company immediately after discovering their deceptive business practices. Was charged $70 a month later after canceling.
On May 11, 2020 I signed up for and project manager course. Once I discovered that the service did not fit my needs, I am mediately one hour later went to cancel the service. The call was recorded and I have email correspondence with them.
The representative promised that all services have been canceled even after trying to sell me on keeping the service, I rejected and said no please cancel all she confirmed you do not have a subscription with us any longer. One month later June 12, 2020 I was charged $70 to my account. I'm mediately emailed Shaw Academy to ask what was going on and request a refund. The response was that I had a trial with him and within their terms cannot be refunded. They proceeded to return an email to me stating that they would gladly give me $339 for the services in a six month free subscription to continue the service which I have never used. I responded back via email that I do not except their offer for continued services and a refund is the only acceptable outcome of this interaction. I will be talking to the attorney general and submitting a lawsuit If they do not process my refund. Charged before trial period ended, website does not allow you to cancel membership within free trial and company refuses to refund me
I signed up for a 4 week free trial, and did not use it once due to illness. I was charged $69.99 before my free trial ended. I tried ending my membership online, and the website does not allow you. I requested a refund from the company, and they have refused. Since there email refusing, I have found other reviews from people also indicating that they have been charged before their free trial expired.
I want a refund as I was charged fraudulently.

Shaw Academy took 2 back to back payments without permission. Refusing to issue refunds.
Signed up for free trial.
Tried cancelling website kept giving error and to contact support.
Contacted supportvia email as phone option has no live contact.
Roy at support confirmed he cancelled my trial.
Two months later (May 2020/June 1st 2020) Shaw acadamy took 2 payments out of my bank account on 2 consecutive days.
Contacted Shaw Academy via email as still no live phone support.
SA refused refund saying there was no documentation I contacted them.
Through over 20 emails with screenshots, and a claim with my bank filed against SA, I was told I would receive my refund.
They only refunded the payment they took at the end of May.
Contacted SA again. Recevied a reply saying that I only requested a refund for April's refund.
There was no payment taken in April. Only back to back last day in May, 1st day in June.
Shaw Academy is now refusing to reply. Which they did before until I filed a complaint with my bank.
Their main office in the UK and I assume their satellite officess, are currently under investigation.
I just want the rest of my refund.

I have never been to the website a day in my life then last night my card gets Charged for 69.99 which was the last money I had on my card. Help !!
My card was charged 69.99 on 6/14/20 @ 11:16 pm est time. I didn't notice the place it charged so I looked it up and it brought me to the academy website. I just want a refund of my money because I was obviously scammed somehow because I've never heard of this site and definitely didn't authorize this payment.

I got my refund that's all I wanted
Taking money from my account despite cancelling my subscription.
I joined shaw academy on a free trial on XX-XX-XXXX and joined my first class on 08-05-2020. After this class I felt this course was not for me and called to cancel the subscription to which your employee agreed to cancel. I asked her to confirm if she had removed my details off of your systems and that you would not be taking any payments from me. She confirmed.
On 13-jun-2020 Shaw Academy took £49.99 out of my paypal account and had placed me on premium membership despite me having told them to cancel, WITHOUT authorisation. All payments should have been cancelled when I cancelled my subscription.
I have called them numerous times but their number is no longer in service. There is no way to cancel myself and they do not reply to emails.
I want a apology, I want them to stop scamming young unemployed people, and I want my money back. I also want them to delete this account and confirm it.

Misled to click 'Get your toolkit' and instantly charged $39.95. From day I cancelled I started to receive SPAM SMS msgs. from dozens of phone numbers
Your service was below my expectations and I had no intentions to continue it. I was charged $39.95 for something I didn't even need or even know what it was.
I reported this issue even to PayPal with pictures to prove it, your buttons covers more than 50% of my screen and link appears on 3 or more locations.
When I called you to cancel service it took me 30 minutes to skip all offers you give instead of option to cancel subscription and at the end, when you 'allegedly' terminated my subscription, SMS spam marketing messages started to arrive to phone number my brother is using currently. He called me to say that hes cyber bullied and depressed because of it! Just because of your awful, scam, unethical business practice.

Shaw academy won't refund me my money when I couldn't cancel my subscription even though I submitted a query regarding the issue I encountered.
I submitted a query and explained why I couldn't cancel the subscription and have provided screenshots and numerous explanations on why I shouldn't have been charged. And still no solution, no refund. Shaw academy is a scam. They refuse to give me back my money and it makes absolutely no sense since their policies state you can cancel at any time however that is not true. They required a phone call where I had to provide a code and lucky for them they were closed on the weekends, therefore, I was charged the day after I submitted a query. I've been messaging them for a week now and have proven my explanations with screenshots provided. This is a fraud. I have never dealt with a dishonest scheme.
All I've been asking for is a refund. It's so unfair and hard to have no control over the situation because I submitted my card info. I thought I had nothing to worry about as they said I could cancel at anytime and it turned out I had made a mistake because shaw academy has misleading information about the refund and the free trial is a scam.

I accept there response because I waited to make sure they did live up to there response & they did. My refund has been processed as of yesterday night 6/18 @11:21PM! I'm so happy and glad that this weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I would just like to say thank you to the Revdex.com as I don't believe this issue would've been resolved with out you guys! Much appreciated, I literally woke up for a whole week straight and the first thing I would do is check my email to see if any solution to my refund has been processed and the day has finally arrived. Again thank you and I can finally put this all behind me. Never again will I be fooled or disrespected.
I emailed the billing department since may and wanted to cancel. They agreed to issue a refund, but still charged me in may and june.
In May 16, I asked to cancel before my free trial ended. They agreed to issue a refund shortly after. I also cancelled my subscription right after. I have a screenshot from that day to confirm the cancellation. But I never received the refund in May and was still charged in June, despite thinking my membership was cancelled and never using it again. This is an unauthorized charge to my paypal and I would like ALL $70 back as soon as possible!
I want a full refund that I was already promised from May and June. That is the $35 from May and $35 from June. So $70 in total. I have not used this service outside of the 1 week free trial. I also want my account cancelled immediately. I will check after this matter is closed to make sure it was FULLY cancelled. I will never use this service again.

I canceled the membership in the free trial period. They still charged me $69.99. I asked for a refund, they refused.
I signed up for a 4-week free trial with Shaw Academy. Then I found out their contents does not meet my needs. So I canceled my membership on June 09, 2020, before the 4-week free trial ended.
There were several problems with Shaw Academy:
1, I followed the cancellation instruction from their website. I went through more than 3 menus on the website, pressed "I want to cancel" several times, but at last the provided a number you must call, then I tried to call multiple times, during their business hour, but nobody answered. I simply cannot reach them. I found there is a similar complaint from other person on Revdex.com, the case number is XXXXXXXX. Shaw Academy didn't solve the problem at all!
2. They charged me $69.99 on June 10. I tried to solve it with Shaw Academy first. I emailed them, explained the situation, and asked for a refund. They refused to refund me. They ignored my explanation that I didn't break the term and their cancellation process is not reasonable and not reachable. They repeatably tried to force me to keep using their subscription, which I didn't accept.
I believe it's a scam. They are fraudulent. They intentionally make it impossible to cancel the membership. This is completely unacceptable. Be aware, don't give your business to this company! Thank you!
Cancel the membership, refund me $69.99, and create a process to easily unsubscribe.

I cancelled my subscription and have still been charged
I took a free trial online course with Shaw Academy in May. I didn't like the course so decided to cancel the free course so I wouldn't be charged. I tried to do this online on the site, but it advised to call to complete my cancellation. I called on the 13th May and spoke to a very pushy customer service rep who kept trying to get me not to cancel. In the end I had to be quite assertive and I say I'm not interested in the course and just want to cancel the subscription. I was then told over the phone that this had been cancelled and no further action was required. I then noticed 3 days ago that £49.99 was taken from my account. I tried to call the number I phoned when cancelling but the line is no longer in use. I then emailed the company and have sent screenshot of my cancelling online and my call log of calling to cancel. And they are saying they have no record of this

I cancelled my free 4-week course over the phone and was still charged.
I signed up for a free 4-week course with Shaw Academy on May 6th, 2020, I set a reminder to cancel before the 4-weeks was over so I did not get charged, and I did so but in order to cancel you have to call them. After speaking with a representative, I said I wanted to cancel and make sure no money was ever going to be taken out of my account. She continued to try and sell me programs, and said she signed me up for a free course. Before the conversation was over, I made sure and asked her multiple times that I was not going to be charged anything, ever for this because if so I did not want it, and she assured me that everything she was giving me was free. Come to find out, it was not free and my account was charged $69.99, which I clearly did not authorize. I have tried to send countless emails in regards to a refund and have gotten zero response back.
As stated before, since I informed them I did not want to pay for anything, and one of their representatives assured me that I would not be, however I was charged, I would like a full refund in the amount of $69.99

Shaw Academy processed an unauthorized charge on my credit card and refused to refund the money although I did never purchased their services.
My Shaw Academy Student Number is XXXXX. I opted a free trial course.
I completed my free course on 7th May. After that I forgot to inactivate my profile. Today, I observed that two times $69.99 has been deducted from my credit card. When I logged in to my Shaw Academy profile I found that they automatically enrolled me to Premium Membership without any notification to me.
They denied my request to refund my Payment.

I signed up for a free trial, which I attempted to cancel but they have taken the money without warning.
I signed up for a free trial of a photography course on the 12th of May 2020. They innstantly took 30p from my paypal account at which made me nervous. I attempted to close my account which I now know wasn't sucessful.
On the 9th of June (within 30 days an even 28 days) they took full payment for the course of £49.99 out of my paypal without warning. They intentionally took the money before midnight of the last day of the trial so you are tied in as soon as you are aware they are taking the money and you are unable to cancel as their phone line is office hours.
I have contacted them several times in the following days to arrange a refund to which have been ignored, however I have just been informed that I cannot have a refund due to their terms.
I can see from plenty of reviews online that this company make a habbit of this and taking money from unaware people without prior warning.
I have not used their service at all, I was lead to believe that I had canceled the account which I have since been informed that I hadn't. I have since cancelled the account after being forced to call during my own time to complete an automated message of manipulative and emotionally blackmailing language to close the account.

I feel that they had no intention of actually giving me a refund until I complaint to the Revdex.com. They have replied with a stock reply which is poor and I feel that this isnt good enough considering they made me phone up in my own time and then have a series of email conversations over the following week. They don't offer a good service, the qualifications the charge for are worthless and unncredited, they don't warn customers that their "free" trial is ending they just take the money. Then never intend to refunnd you. They should be investigated for fraud. A weak apology isn't good enough.

On 06/03/20 I signed up for 4 FREE weeks.
On 06/03/20 I was charged $39.95

I cancelled on 06/05/20 after attending a course and was not satisfied at all with the product. Even free, I didn't want it. At this point I did not realize I had already been charged.
Later the same day 06/05/20 I noticed the charge and filed a complaint (ID number #XXXXXXX). No receipt was given for a charge.
They are claiming that I purchased a ToolKit, which I did not. I didn't want it when the course was FREE and I didn't want it especially after realizing how horrible the course and communications were.
I replied on 06/08/20 to explain further and again on 06/09/20. I have not heard back from them.
Returned money charged.

This website is a scam. Signed up with a promised "free trial" only to have my card charged as soon as I signed up for the program. ***
I was charged $39.95 USD to my card. This shouldn't have occured. I was promised a free trial which I signed up for. Thinking that they would have done as promised and not charged my card until after the trial period was over. That was not the case. Not even a day into my trial they charged my card. False advertising. This is a scam by the brits to take our money. And it's working. Don't fall for it. As did I. Oh, and ShawAcademy if you're reading this, which I hope dearly that you are, give me my *** money back you filthy animals.

I canceled services with the company immediately after discovering their deceptive business practices. Was charged $70 a month later after canceling.
On May 11, 2020 I signed up for and project manager course. Once I discovered that the service did not fit my needs, I am mediately one hour later went to cancel the service. The call was recorded and I have email correspondence with them.
The representative promised that all services have been canceled even after trying to sell me on keeping the service, I rejected and said no please cancel all she confirmed you do not have a subscription with us any longer. One month later June 12, 2020 I was charged $70 to my account. I'm mediately emailed Shaw Academy to ask what was going on and request a refund. The response was that I had a trial with him and within their terms cannot be refunded. They proceeded to return an email to me stating that they would gladly give me $339 for the services in a six month free subscription to continue the service which I have never used. I responded back via email that I do not except their offer for continued services and a refund is the only acceptable outcome of this interaction. I will be talking to the attorney general and submitting a lawsuit If they do not process my refund.
