They will not let me terminate my account and I have tried calling and emailing.
I am just trying to terminate my account with them but when I go through the steps on their website it takes me to a phone number to call. When I call that number they leave me waiting for like ten minuted and the phone call ends, so I have to dial again. I have called like 20 times and I finally was talking to someone and when I mentioned I wanted to end my subscription they hung up on me. So I resorted to emailing their customer service and after likt ten emails back and forth of them giving me automated responses and extending my trial (the exact opposite of what I want to do), they told me to call. Which is why I was emailing in the first place. I just want out of my account and I don't think it is right that they do this to people.

Desired Outcome

I just want my account to be terminated and cancelled so I don't get charged for this scam.

They finally did as I have been asking for weeks. Thank you guys so much!

They are not letting me cancel my membership?
I enrolled for a 4 week free trial three weeks ago. I have 6 days of free membership left. I cancelled my trial yesterday but the website said to call them to confirm the cancellation. When I call their phone number (yes, I do it within business their hours), I just get put on hold (or maybe it's just music playing when you call them). I have called about 4 times and each time I wait a while for someone to answer, but no one ever does. I'm starting to think this was just a setup so I could never be able to cancel my membership because the phone number wasn't real in the first place. I want to cancel my trial with no charge even if it happens after the last day of my free membership. I have screenshots of me cancelling before the last day. Make it happen.

The only thing I want is for me to cancel my membership at no cost.

Shaw Academy have taken out money from my account after I have cancelled my membership with their organisation.
I enrolled on free trial with shaw academy to study online on the 31st March 2020. I was advised by one of their agent that if I cancelled the membership before the end of April 2020, I wouldn't be charged any fees. I ensured that I cancelled the membership before this period on 24th April 2020, which I also confirmed via telephone call with the organisation.

On Saturday, 6th June 2020, I noticed that a sum of £49.99 had been debited from my account by Shaw Academy which came as a massive surprise as I have ignored the continual emails and text messages they have been sending me to renew my membership with their organisation.

I have been in touch with the organisation to refund me the money they have illegally debited from my account and they have refused, covering up with lies and offering a 6 month free access to their courses.

I am not interested in this offer and would appreciate if the organisation can refund me my money.

There is a transaction that I didn't approve of, and the company is unwilling to refund me this.
I signed up for Shaw Academy to try out their courses for free for 4 weeks. Each time you sign into your account, a pop up banner appears that asks you to buy a toolkit function with them for $39.99. I always exit that window as I'm not interested in buying it. On June 7, I normally accessed my profile and this pop up banner appeared again. I exited it as I normally would, and even exited the window from my tablet, but the next thing I know I get an email from my paypal account the same day on 8:57 PM that says I sent a payment of $39.99 to Shaw Academy. I contacted the seller and PayPal immediately, and told them this is a mistake and I need my money back, but they said they won't be able to give a refund once that purchase of the toolkit has already been done. I advised them that this is a mistake from their end and I need my money back. They only offered many other things that I won't have any use of, and I just want my money back.

I would like a refund for the toolkit transaction that was done without my approval.

I'm very glad I contacted Revdex.com for help to get my refund. It worked immediately. When I asked Shaw Academy myself several times, they refused to give me any refund and acted like it was something that was completely impossible.

Misleading message to download toolkit charges you money without confirmation upon clicking
After registering to Shawacademy, they send you misleading messages to download their toolkit over Whatsapp, Facebook and email. There is no mention of any cost in the message. Upon clicking the link they provide, customer is redirected to their website where the money gets deducted without any confirmation.

Shaw Academy is unwilling to refund me the toolkit purchased of $34.95CAD,which was unexpectedly charged to my paypal with 1 click button they set up.
My paypal was charged $34.95 (CAD) on 3-Jun-2020 for the unexpected toolkit purchased which I didn't realize from one click button popup they setup. I sent them couple emails and message for a refund, but I got two replies that they are unable to give me a refund. The email reply seems to be automated. I saw a complaint review from a customer that received the same reply when asked for a refund. They just offer credit and free certificate. I was talking to a representative on email with the name Parnel ticket (#XXXXXXX).

Cancelled the account as instructed on 5/27/2020.Did not get notified trail was ending and would be charged. Just kept sending ads for $39.99&more $$
Received a free trial from Shaw Academy on April 30th. Cancelled the account as instructed on 5/27/2020. I had to call a 1-800 number and got a british voice recording. I Did not get notified trail was ending and would be charged $69.99 at all. Just kept sending ads for $39.99 for notes, more money for a diploma when I had not turned in one test or completed an assignment. It was suppossed to be a 30 day trial but was charged before the 30 days and with out notice of any amount being deducted from my account as they stated.

Never signed up for there classes and money was took out my PayPal account.

Someone else used my email address and PayPal.
Will not give refund
34.99 was taken out of my PayPal account, I have never signed up for this before.

I emailed them and ask them for refund since I never signed up for the classes.

They will not give me a refund because whoever uses my email and PayPal account, agree to their terms.

They offer me a few year of courses but I don't want to take any courses, I just want my refund back.

I never ever been to this website, I didn't know anything about this until they took money out of my account, So I didn't authorize them to take any money out of my account.

I have email them at that email address, and I get offer free classes, I dont want to take any classes from them, I just want my money back.

I'm trying to cancel subscription but their phone number is a loop of music. Website says I must call to cancel.
I signed up for a free trial of a Project MGMT course with Shaw Academy but it turns out that you cannot complete the course within the 30-days so ultimately you have to pay to finish the course. This is a sneaky trick. I went to their website and followed instructions to cancel (there are many links before cancelling which makes it confusing) and then it requires you to call XXX-XXX-XXXX if you're in the USA. I"ve called numerous times but it's just music playing on a loop. I emailed their support email ***@shawacademy.com. No response. I'll have to cancel my CC number. This is disheartening and they are tricking people.

Your website assured me that I can cancel at any time, now I am trying to cancel and you have me on hold for an extended amount of time.
I want to cancel my membership but you don't answer the phone for me to do so. Plus, the on hold music is very loud and you cannot turn it down, I am sure in an effort for people to hang up. I am recording all of this so I can provide my Credit Card company information to dispute any charges. CANCEL my membership NOW.

Total SCAM!! They Charged $69.99 without informing me anything about it and when I emailed they have not replied!

Am attempting to cancel a 4 week free trial but have not been able to get into contact with company. Also charged me $39.95 without my authorization.
I registered for the free four-week graphic design course trial about a week ago. After realizing the classes weren't for me, I attempted to cancel my free trial. In the process of canceling, I was charged $39.95 for a module toolkit that I did not request access to. I have called the phone number they supplied me with to confirm my cancellation multiple times. Most of the time I couldn't get through and the two times I finally could and attempted to confirm my cancellation, I never received the cancellation confirmation email they said would be sent and my account still shows as active. I have also emailed them multiple times asking for assistance with my cancellation and requesting a refund for the module toolkit charge made without my permission and have yet to hear back. I've messaged them on Facebook and Twitter as well with no response. After reading many reviews, I've found that they make the cancellation process deceptive and difficult and they continue to charge you the monthly fee even after cancellation. I would like to ensure that my account is officially canceled, and my card will not be charged now that I've cancelled. I would also like to be refunded for the module toolkit that I did not request access to.

I've waited the 3-5 days and have still not been refunded. I also checked with my credit card company and they said they're not denying the refund on their end. They said even if there was an active dispute(which I closed last week) they would've allowed the refund to come through.

I have called my credit card company and they said that they have not blocked the refunds. They said even if the charge was disputed the refund would still be able to come through. They also mentioned that they have seen no attempted refunds come through their system. I believe the issue is coming from your end. At this point the dispute has been closed for weeks and I have paid the $39.95 so the refund should be able to go through.

I cancelled my account back in May and in June I was charger $70. Even after providing proof that I had cancelled they were refusing a refund.
I had signed up for a 4-week free trial but ended up not having the time to participate in them. I had to email them to cancel because the phone number they have listed is not set up. I received a confirmation email that I was cancelled and didn't think twice. At the start of this month I was charged $70 by them and even after providing proof that I cancelled and had received a confirmation email they were refusing to refund me. I had to threaten a lawyer (which I have on hand) in order for them to refund me. My lawyer was quite happy to hear that we didn't have to take action. After some more research I am not the only one who has had this issue. This company is scamming people out of money and then refusing to give it back when proof is provided that it was wrongfully taken. They need to be shut down.

I want to see them shut down to be honest. They aren't offering a service that is worth that much money, they take money wrongfully then refuse a refund, and they have terrible customer service skills.

I got my money back that was wrongfully taken from me in the first place.

After a free trial period they gave me another free trial period. Wanted to cancel but they took payment without notice.
Student mumber XXXXX. After a first free trial peroid, I cancelled and they then gave me another free trial peroid, which I accpeted. They say they send an email the day before the trial ends so you can cancel. No such email was sent to me. I was aware of the days running out and kept looking as to when I needed to cancel in order to avoid a charge. They day before they charged me the app told me I had 1 day left. The next day I logged on and it said 1 day left so I believed I had that day in the free trial but they had already taken the charge from my account. Also it was not the 1 month they said it would be, it was much higher. I have emailed them and had no reponse. I have tried looking at my profile and payments but cannot access them. I am scared to cancel the membership as I dont know what will happen.

I signed up for a 4 week free course through an Facebook advertisement. Was charged 29,95 for a tool kit that I had not requested to purchase.
I signed up for a 4 week free course through an Facebook advertisement. In the sign up process I was had to leave my PayPal information for in case I wanted to keep the subscription for their services. After loggin into their site and photo course the first time. I noticed that I had been charged 29,95 from my PayPal account for a Toolkit that I did not want to purchase and had not authorized the purchase of. I have been on contact with the seller and they are not willing to cancel the tool kit and issue a refund. I immediately contacted them concerning the issue as according to the Right of withdrawal rules.

I need to cancel my membership and I feel blocked. Can't cancel from anywhere and I have to pay for the service that I will no longer use. THIS IS NO RIGHT. When you allow person to join online why do you want them to call for cancellation. There should be option to cancel online if we no longer need the service.
THIS IS SCAM and they should not be allowed to do the business like this.

I have cancelled my membership on May 21 AND I have the email to prove them "canceling" my membership saying I won't be charged. I was still charged.
On May 21, I called and cancelled my membership after ARGUING with a representative. I received an email saying it was cancelled and that I wouldn't be charged so I believed it. Then I was charged $68. I can't get into contact with anyone.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund and for my actual account to be cancelled. My car payment is now going to be late because of this. I'm a student and because of the pandemic I don't have just loads of money sitting around.

I closed my account twice and I am still getting charged unauthorized fees, without my approval. I've reached out to Shaw and PayPal, no help.
My account was closed with Shaw Academy on Dec 26, 2019. Someone within the company re-opened my account and I was receiving emails for classes. II was also getting billed each month. I emailed Shaw support on Feb 13th regarding my account, that I cannot afford those prices. I requested a courtesy credit for the $49.99 that was taken out. I haven't accessed any of websites nor the classes. Paul stated, "The first thing I have taken the liberty of doing is to confirm your membership is cancelled thus ensuring no further payments as I am assuming that is what you want to do, if you did not want to cancel let me know and my apologies. I am just trying to proactively assist." I was still charged two amounts after of $29.99. I didn't authorize any of these charges below. I tried to dispute with PayPal but they were of no help and now I owe them and am in collections.

Desired Outcome

A resolution that would make me happy is as follows: I would like my name removed from Shaw Academy so I don't receive anymore communication from/with them. I am requesting credits from Shaw to credit my back for February 7, 2020 charge of $49.99. I filed a complaint on Shaw Academy with your company. I received a letter stating to contact the company at ***@shawacademy.com. I emailed them on Monday, June 15th. I did not receive any response back to help my situation with a refund. Instead, it emailed me back a reply that someone will be in touch with me but no one emails me. Then I got a new case number with them. Then I received another email below. This is all I keep getting from them. I do not ask nor do I give anyone permission to open my account. They re-open themself and then re-bill me. There is no way to block them on PayPal. I've asked PayPal for assistance and they won't help because they say I signed up and I really didn't. Please let me know what I need to do.

I'm trying to cancel my Shaw Academy subscription. I clicked "no, I want to cancel my subscription" about 10 times and finally got brought to a screen telling me to call a phone number (+X XXX XXX XXXX) and enter a code in order to cancel. The phone number appears to be completely inactive; I've listened to 10 straight minutes of hold music, without so much as a "Hello, please hold" or a confirmation that the number has anything to do with Shaw Academy. No way to enter a code. Nothing. I'm quickly becoming convinced this whole business is a scam.

Desired Outcome

I want my subscription canceled, and I want a reassurance that the payment info I entered as a security measure won't be used to charge me despite the fact that I canceled my free trial before it ended. I've seen that happening to a lot of Shaw Academy's other customers.

I joined a free trail with Shaw Academy. Told to call a number to cancel. The number goes straight to hold and no one answers ever.
I signed up to Shaw Academy for a free trial, fully intending to cancel before the end. When this time was upon me, I clicked through many cancellation pages before being redirected to dialing a phone number:

XXXXXXXXXXX

this number went straight to hold and nobody answered ever. I am unable to cancel my trial and they will continue to charge me. They can't be stopped!?

Desired Outcome

I want to cancel at no cost, but there is no way I can get through to them to make this happen.
