Stole $69.99 from me for bills!
I canceled before the free 4 week trial was over. I contacted them about attempting to bill me anyway. They said not once but twice that my email was not on file. So I sent a Screenshot of my email under my accout section the next day they charged me 69.99 after contacting them about the issue! Now they say I never canceled even though when I signed in after that it said I had to make a password It is such a shame to do this during a pandemic . I am un employed and homeless with a 1.5 yo baby living in a trailer with no running water. On a family members property. I'm barley trying to save up to get my own place. Yet they steal money out of our pockets .. what a scan im ashamed of "tmobile" for offering this as a free trial

Offers a free trial, requires your credit card information and states in the "fine print" that you will continue to be charged. Deceptive in nature.
I received a free trial via T-Mobile's Tuesday rewards program. I signed up, and received a "free trial". I was never able to utilize the free trial, and it fell to the wayside as during COVID-19 I was an essential employee and worked constantly. With any kind of subscription service, an e-mail reminder of being charged is typical, so that the return/cancellation/refund process is avoided (as this can be costly and time consuming for both parties). I interestingly never received notification that I was being charged a membership or that my subscription was renewing. This information, along with their "non-refundable policy" is hidden in the fine print, and is deceptive and misleading. I was offered a free trial, that I wasn't even able to use, and was told to enter my credit card information before I could have even utilized said "free" trial. I received two charges (69.99 EACH!) without my consent, without my knowledge, all the while I am only being sent e-mails offering me a variety of different e-mails to purchase more "add-ons" or more "premium features". I have received numerous advertisements, but no information of my membership or current status or receipt of "purchase". What in the world am I paying 70$ a month for, if I'm still being told to buy more "deals" and "Packages" for "full access"? This company is deceptive and takes advantage of free trials to lock people into something they do not want, and without the ability to get out of it. I am absolutely disparaged as I cannot afford to just lose 140$ for no reason at all. I have not even opened the program ONCE to utilize this service and the fact that they offer these kinds of trials and seemingly "steal" money from customers during such a critical time is very disheartening.

Desired Outcome

The only resolution I need is that I want reimbursed for the two months of services that I did not use or sell in any way. I also would like the company to utilize more honest and forthcoming tactics to get people to subscribe to their service; had they a forgiving return policy with adequate reminders, package details, and receipts, I would have most likely utilized the service again.

I went to cancel my subscription and ask for a refund. They are refusing, even though I did not attend classes.
I had signed up for a class during Covid-19, during this time I was unable to attend this class. When I would go to look for a way to get a hold of them on their app I found no way of getting in contact with them to cancel. I was finally able to get an email address and asked for a refund explaining that I didn't take these classes and that during this crisis it had financially upset me with them $69.99 it took from me. They refused to refund me due to it being outside of my cancellation time by one day. I've asked for a phone number to call to get this resolved fast they refused that as well. It's taken days to respond to each email. I'm very sad that a company is taking advantage of a global crisis and refusing to refund due to a one day discrepancy.

I want my $69.99 back since I never took the course.

Shaw Academy have charged me £69.99 following a 4 week free trial even though I had no access to an account and wasn't able to cancel.
I signed up to the free 4 week trial. I then attempted to log in and was told that I didn't have an account, I assumed that the registration hadn't gone through and didn't bother to sign up again. 4 weeks later I then noticed that £69.99 had been taken out of my account. I emailed Shaw Academy to ask why this had been taken out when I was still being told I don't even have an account. Eventually they told me that the email address they had was invalid so I wouldn't have been able to sign in or cancel the subscription. I asked them to refund this amount as I have clearly never used the free trial or any of the services and would expect some goodwill from the merchant. They have outright refused to process a refund and even refused to raise a formal complaint for me and cancel this subscription. This is terrible practice from the company and coming from a background of customer service and regularly handling complaints I'm appalled at their lack of service skills and empathy for customers.

Desired Outcome

I would like the £69.99 refunded, my subscription cancelled and no further charges from this company.

As per checking my online account its already showing cancelled thanks Revdex.com :)

I was billed 06/01/20 for $69.99 US dollars on my PayPal for a 4 week free trial but yet billed same exact day. Never signed in.
I was billed 06/01/20 for $69.99 and .50 on my PayPal for something I did not sign up to pay for. I was offered a free 4 weeks but was billed For that trial the same day. I asked to be refunded. I have been attempting to contact them. I spoke with one person who stated it was not right and I should not have been billed. But received email that I would not be refunded. It's not right.

After your email to the company and my speaking to the company they was able to resolve the complaint and issue a refund. Thank you.

Shaw Academy processed an unauthorized charge on my bank account against their cancellation policy. I did not purchase their services.
On 1st May 2020, I subscribed to a 4week free trial with them. Soon after, I started receiving many emails, text messages from them. I was not happy with their services, hence cancelled my membership on the same day. I did this via my account profile and phone call. During the call, the robot tried to convince me to reactivate my account to which I declined. I noticed they did not acknowledge my cancellation by email however the phone call and profile confirmed the cancellation. I continued to receive spam messages from them after this. On 3rd May I wrote to them requesting them to unsubscribe me from their end. This includes an email to the Head of Education. On emailing their general support, they did so and confirmed this by email.
On 29th May they proceeded to deduct unauthorized 49.99 pounds from my account. This was shocking as I had cancelled my membership during the free trial period as per their cancellation policy. On contacting them, they claim that they have no record of such a transaction and requested evidence. I have provided them with all the evidence but they are ignoring my request.

I called several times and the staff was rude and would never give me direct answers.
I asked for a physical address and they asked me why several times. I asked to speak to a manager, they put me on hold several times and came back without a manager then asked me why did I need to speak with one when I can handle my problems with a regular customer service agent. Manager was then put in the phone and asked me why did I need to get a physical address? He then stated that the address was in Cape Town Africa and I didn't need the address because I had a phone number from the US. Very disappointing and disrespectful. I'm wondering how is this even an institution?

This is a bogus transaction. I have yet to receive this transaction yet. Please include what bank information you sent it to. I will allow you to include routing and account number to prove you are lying. I will also continue to ask for my refund via social media platforms. You deleted my comments from multiple posts. And kicked me out of the Shaw Academy group. I will not let this go until you actually refund me my money.

I canceled my subscription during free trial period, hours after signing up, and was still charged $69, automatically deducted from my account.
I signed up for the free course offering during the pandemic to enhance my skills in graphic design. I signed up and entered my information. I looked over to see what the cancellation policy was before submitting my information. After registering and I was about to take the class they mentioned that the class was free but the materials needed for the class and other stuff was not free. So I decided to cancel my subscription before the trial ended so my card would not be charged. I tried contacting them but they were unable to reach during that time. So I sent an email. Days later I saw a charge on my card from Shaw Academy. They had taken $69 out of my account. More than what was advertised as the fee if I don't cancel subscription. It has been 3 weeks and I still have not received my refund and now I have incurred over draft charges.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be removed from the subscription and a refund in the amount of $69.00 plus all overdrafts and overdraft fees caused by this deduction.

The company has responded with accordingly to my request to cancel subscription and refund my money.

Fraudulent company, I have email confirmation of cancellation yet was still charged.
I cancelled my account with the business named above on May 12th, 2020. They apparently did not actually cancel my account and continued to charge me 69.99 on today's date June 4th 2020. I spoke with Jade E, the Student Guidance Manager on May 12th and throughout the whole cancellation process was trying to get me to stay signed up. It was like jumping through hoops. The payment method was my debit card, which needed to be given in order to activate my free trial. It is clearly stated on the website you will not be charged if you cancel before your one month free trial ends, which I was sure to cancel before then.

I simply want a refund of 69.99 back to my account. I also believe Shaw Academy should not be in business. I feel taken advantage of and many others that have used this service do as well.

Shaw Academy took £49.99 out of my account without permission. I was assured that this would not happen before starting my 4 week free course
My Shaw Academy ID: XXXXXXX - Enrolled on free 4 week course 23 April 2020

To join the 4 week free course I had to give Shaw Academy my debit card details. I was assured no money would be taken out of my account without my permission. I enrolled on the photoshop course 23 April. During this time I was inundated with emails to buy various products. Nearing the end of the 4 weeks, I tried to cancel the subscription on 19th May but was informed I had another week to go and the site would not let me opt out. Then received three payment monthly membership options by email and on their which I ignored as I could not afford any subscriptions.

I finally managed to get their number : XXXXX XXXXXX and to quote Ref no: XXXXX and on 24 May I called this number which was an automated call and said I wanted to opt out altogether. I was given about 5 options urging me to stay. I got to the end of call and finally it was acknowledged that I wanted out.

I just found out that they took £49.99 out of my account on 21 May 2020.
I am very angry that they have done this. I am a pensioner struggling financially.
I was told that they would not do this and that they would talk to me about all my options first.

My complaints have gone unanswered. Complaint sent 3 June 2020.
A Complaint Ref: XXXXXXX and XXXXXXX was sent to me via email, saying they would get back to me. I had sent two complaints, one to customer help line and one to a student teacher.

On the Student Profile page and under Account Info, it states

I want a refund. This is bad business practice. The company has made it very difficult to opt out. I am so worried that they will keep taking money out of my account which I cannot afford. I cannot sleep and not physically well.

I request a refund to my bank account. £49.99 was withdrawn without my permission or any consultation without my knowledge on 21 May 2020. It was very difficult to opt out as I tried from 19th May and finally got the number on 24th May. I feel this was wrong and as I live on a govt pension, I have no way of affording this amount or a subscription.

Accidentally clicked on a "toolkit" which costs, but there was no warning. It charged my account. Asked for refund, they refused & stopped replying.
06/02/20 Unique ID #XXXXXXX Refund request through their forum for $39.95 for a "Toolkit" payed through PayPal with my linked debit card. Signed up for a 4 week trial for Shaw Academy a few days before, but once I realized how complicated it was to set/change my schedule and then that I may not get my certificate without paying for it in the end, I decided to cancel my trial/account. They made me go through several promotion offers and then also made me call and confirm my cancellation which was already frustrating. Once done, I went to the app to verify it was cancelled but my phone's internet lagged when I was scrolling up and apparently I clicked on a "toolkit" which apparently costs, but I was not told or given a double verification of this purchase, it just gave it to me I guess. I was unaware at that moment and continued to check if my account was cancelled. It appeared to be cancelled, yet I received an email from paypal and Shaw saying there was a charge from Shaw Academy for the $39.95. I contacted their support and after explaining the incident they told me, "Once the Toolkit is activated in your account it is made available to you and we have transferred the content to you hence it cannot be disabled as it was provided therefore, we cannot refund." Then they continued to barade me with several more offers which only made me even more angry. I didnt want any of this. I snapped naturally, explained how dumb their app/website is and now they are not responding to my emails. I emailed a few times but nothing. Hopefully by taking this route I can finally get my refund. I dont even know what a toolkit is. I told them I'll delete everything. I wonder if there is some way to remove my account completely but for some reason they keep it up. I'm scared they will charge me again in 4 weeks for something. Still trying to remove my paypal information in the meantime. Even though I cancelled and they sent me an email of the confirmation, I am still receiving emails and calls about my classes, it's so frustrating.

They assured me I wouldnt be charged further, that my account was cancelled and they refunded me. Refund is already back in my bank now. Thank you.

Shaw Academy charges credit card monthly payments despite account cancelation & being told I wouldn't be charged. They don't respond to my emails.
On 3/31/20, I signed up for a free 4 week online nutrition course with Shaw Academy. It forced me to enter my payment information for future billing if I decided to continue a monthly subscription after the free trial period, but said I could cancel before ever being charged. However, when I went to log in to my newly created account it asked for my payment info a second time so I decided to write to their support team before proceeding. Twice I was told that their support team didn't recognize the email address I was using, claiming that they didn't have my info, but then I sent them proof that the email address I was using was the one I signed up with. Next my ticket #XXXXXXX was given to Roy with Shaw Academy. I wrote: "I have decided that I do not wish to sign up for a course and would appreciate it if my payment info is deleted from your records." Roy replied: "Thank you for reaching out to us! I apologize for the inconvenience caused. This charge was for Card verification and the funds were reversed on the same day. Due to technical glitch, few of our students were charged more than once. However, the charges have been reversed right away. We had this issue escalated and our technical team has fixed it. Henceforth, I assure you there won't be any charges. If you need any further assistance ever, please contact us back." On 4/29/20, I used my ticket #XXXXXXX to send the following email: "According to your last email you said I would not be charged for Shaw Academy and I requested that all my payment info be deleted. However, this appears to not have happened because there is currently a $69.99 charge from Shaw Academy pending on my credit card (see attached screenshot). Please reverse this charge as soon as possible. I have never accessed any of the Shaw Academy materials and I'm very angry at this apparent scam. I have absolutely no money coming in because my unemployment hasn't been approved yet and cannot afford to be ripped off by you on top of that." I received no response. On 5/6/20, I emailed ***@shawacademy.com the following and attached all the previous ticket #XXXXXXX information: "It has been a week since I lasted attempted to contact your support team and have not received a response. According to my last emails with support, I was told I would not be charged for Shaw Academy and I requested that all my payment info be deleted. However, this appears to not have happened because there is currently a $69.99 charge from Shaw Academy pending on my credit card (see attached screenshot). Please reverse this charge as soon as possible. See previous emails below for more details." I have still not received a response from Shaw Academy, but I have continued to receive automatic emails from them as if I'm still enrolled in a course, one which I never accessed. On 5/11/20, I called my credit card company, Bank of America (BOA), to dispute the Shaw Academy $69.99 transaction on 4/28/20. BOA Claim #XXXXXXXX was initiated on 5/12/20. I was told a stop payment was put in place so Shaw Academy could not charge me again, unless they changed their name or billing info. Then another Shaw Academy $69.99 transaction was billed to my card on 5/26/20. So on 6/1/20 I made another call to BOA to dispute the transaction and another stop payment was put in place (Claim #XXXXXXXX initiated 6/3/20). This time I canceled my credit card and will be reissued a new one, but I was told that recurring monthly payments could be transferred to new card and that I'd need to keep an eye out for future Shaw Academy charges and continue disputing them until BOA could resolve it.

Desired Outcome

I want both $69.99 transactions (4/28/20 & 5/26/20) that Shaw Academy charged to my credit card reversed. I want any monthly recurring payments to be stopped and for them to delete all my contact and billing information.

I signed up for a free trial of an online class and was never able to even log in to access the account to use or cancel.
I was required to give my credit card number in order to sign up and when I went to access my free trial class I couldn't even log in to access the course. Since I couldn't log in at all to access the course I also couldnt cancel. There was no customer service number to call and I had to email. Which I did and I still wasnt able to get in. Today my account was charged $69.99 and the number on my bank charge was not even a working number and it was what was associated with the charge.

Desired Outcome

I wish for my account to be cancel since it was never able to be accessed and I wish for my credit card to be removed from their business and for a refund for the trial I was never even able to access or cancel.

Took maybe 3 classes from the course. Cancelled on the day of, it was already taken from my paypal. Just refund me!
I tried the free trial. Took maybe 2 or 3 classes from the course. Stopped signing in. I set a reminder to cancel the course. But on the day of, it was already taken from my paypal. They will not give me a refund. So instead they have offered me 12-months access worth $699 totally free of charge plus one complete course toolkit and e-certificates worth $199. (Their exact words) I dont want any more of the services. I just want my $70 dollars back for this. Just refund me
Vadik, The person emailing me, keeps referring to the terms of service but they specifically state they wil not refund for used classes after billing date. I havent used any classes anywhere near the billing date and therefore I havent broken their jacked up terms of service. Stop offering me "free" stuff and just give me a refund!

Invited me to sign up for a free trail without mentioning that after a month (28 days) I'd be charged.
Additionally I couldn't even do the course because it kept logging me out

This company has taken money from me.
This company seems too good to be true and they are. I signed up for a FREE trial and I attempted to cancel my free trial within my trial period and could never get anywhere with this company or their customer service. I called twice and nothing, so then I took to emailing. When someone finally responded to my email I was already charged for my free trial and they would not refund me even though I made multiple attempts to get this trial cancelled. After being charged, I was told I would not be refunded even though once again I tried multiple times while still within the trial period and I was fed some BS story. I then wanted to make sure my account/subscription was at least cancelled so that I wouldn't have to keep being charged by this bogus company. I was assured that my account was cancelled and I thought all would be fine. Well guess again, they charged me again. I reached out to customer service once again and I was sent the same copy and paste message and was told that I wouldn't be refunded.

I've yet to be refunded for either charge where they had no permission and I was told it was cancelled. I want to be refunded for both charges and be completely done with this "Company" and I felt the last resort was going through the Revdex.com.

I would like to be refunded both charges that they shouldn't have taken from me.

Shaw Academy charged me after I cancelled my subscription and refuses to refund me.
I provided Shaw Academy with my Paypal information in exchange for a 28 day free trial. Two weeks into the trial, I contacted a representative on their help line to cancel my trial as I was not enjoying the program and did not want to be charged. The representative I spoke with assured me that my subscription was cancelled. However, two weeks later I was charged. I contacted Shaw Academy, and explained the situation asking that they refund me. The representative I spoke to refused to refund me as he did not have documentation of the cancellation. However, that is clearly a fault on Shaw Academy's behalf for not properly documenting calls. I have emailed back and forth multiple times with this representative and rather than providing a solution for the situation or acknowledging the issue whatsoever, he just continued to deny me of a refund. After research online, I have discovered multiple other individuals with complaints of charges from Shaw Academy. This has lead me to believe that the company is fraudulent. Thank you for your time.

Desired Outcome

I would like nothing but a refund from Shaw Academy. They have offered free classes in attempt to resolve the situation but I have explained that I did not enjoy their courses.
