Shelley Home Improvements Reviews (1549)

I have been a customer with Fidelity National Home Warranty since I am now finding that their customer service has become absolutely unacceptable We have an attic fan that is not functioning, and we are in a heat wave here in [redacted] While the technician was prompt and helpful, his submission to the company for approval has NOT been reviewed for days I called on 7/and asked for expedited review I have NOT received any updates I have now been on hold today, 7/16, for minutes and then the call was cutoff I am now on hold AGAIN Unacceptable

I made an appointment for [redacted] to come and fix the dishwasher around wks ago for today between & Pm on 1/12/I am a per diem worker so I had to ask for this time off in order to be home and I am not getting paid if I do not workI waited on the serviceman as I was supposed to till 4:pm no one called or came then I called fidelity customer service and talked to [redacted] the customer service she put me on hold to call [redacted] for minutes the she told me [redacted] is behind and will come between & &pmOf course I got upset because no one called me to let me know but I did not have any choice since I did not want to postpone the repair and had to take off work for another dayLater tonight I received a message from the service person that he is not coming because it is too late and I should call [redacted] to rescheduleWhat kind of service is that?

This company is absolutely terrible to deal withMy dishwasher was not functioning properly so I made a claimFidelity National Home Warranty sent out an appliance repair vendorThe vendor noticed that the junction box was burned outThey installed a new junction box and rather than wiring the dishwasher back up, they installed a plug from the new junction boxThe vendor told us that the dishwasher is now fixed, but you will have to run your disposal while you run your dishwasher because they are on the same switch nowOryou can unplug your disposal each time you want to use your dishwasherThis is totally unacceptable and Fidelity National Home Warranty ( [redacted] ) refused to even waive the $ [redacted] service feeDO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOME WARRANTY COMPANY when considering a warranty

I have a valid Home Warranty contract. My Furnace and Air Conditioning components need to be repaired/replaced. These repairs and replacements are covered under my warranty. I have provided the appropriate contractor estimates as required by my policy. Fidelity is dragging their feet, delaying, and failing to respond timely to my questions. We have now been without air conditioning in a home with two young children during the summer for nearly 2 months. Fidelity now has gone silent - no response for more than 1 week. In addition to these issues, despite having received previous authorization for refrigerant replacement (which I paid for out of pocket) Fidelity has not reimbursed me (a reimbursable cost per the contract). I'm out hundreds of dollars and still have an A/C system which is malfunctioning.

I had a lapse in making an annual payment for home warranty in AugustA Fidelity National representative, called me late on December 4th, and asked if I wanted to renew the policy as of the following dayShe said I would receive exactly the same contract as beforeShe emailed me a contract I should receive in mail in the following week or soIt stated $ [redacted] of service feeI received the paper contract in a week or soI only checked the number of pages, because it was a concernI had a leak in the bathroom, so I called the FidelityI was charged $**I looked at the paper contract, it says $**I emailed and called the same renewal agent, who told me that she had told me that the "coverage would be the same, and your service charge is $**." She argues that the reason why she sent me the $ [redacted] fee contract to show me back upon "renewal" is because that's what's availableShe said that she wasn't sure if there's anything else anyone could do for me

I have a home warranty through Fidelity National for the house we moved in to in AprilI submitted a ticket for a broken dishwasher on 7/and was told a service professional from J [redacted] (who Fidelity National recommended) would be contacting meThey contacted me later that week, and came out to service the dishwasher on 7/The service professional examined the dishwasher and concluded that it needed to be replacedWe paid the service fee of $dollars, and were told that Fidelity National would be contacting us within to hoursI have called Fidelity National numerous times to see what has taken so long, and each time they have told me that J [redacted] (the company they chose to send out) hadn't submitted the report yetFinally, I got fed up with trying to call Fidelity National (in part because there is always a long wait time) and called [redacted] direct, and was told that they have tried to submit the ticket to Fidelity National numerous times but have been put

For weeks now I have been going back and forth with Fidelity trying to get my furnace fixedThe first company tey sent out, NPM Heating & Cooling, lied and said my furnace had not been maintainedI have all of my maintenance records plus the testimony of other reputable service companies that my furnace was well-maintainedOn Oct10, 2016, Fidelity agreed to send another repairman for a "second opinion." They came out yesterday and informed me I needed a new furnace and they would report this to Fidelity by the end of the dayAround 2pm today (10/19/16) I called Fidelity and after being on hold several minutes was told the report from [redacted] had not been received yetIt is starting to get coldWe need our furnace either repaired or replacedI renewed my warranty in good faith believing that Fidelity was a reputable company like it's predecessorAt this point that has not been demonstrated and I am growing weary of the run around I've been gettingPLE

We have been with Fidelity since 1996...we have not had them cover any major issues or repairs ....for the last years we were dealing with an A/C and heater problem that they have done absolutely nothing aboutThey covered Freon in the A/C which lasts weekAnd everytime someone comes out to add the Freon we have to pay a [redacted] service fee for it to last week..on top of taking time off of work to make sure someone is homeWe have invoices with novels on them about what needs to be changed or fixed....I have several invoices with detailsWe give business to Fidelity as brokers and that reflects negatively on us because they do not provide adequate serviceThis past Sept....we had to fix the a/c which cost us [redacted] out of pocket....Freon wasn't doing the job anymore.Fidelity left us no choice but to have the air conditioning fixed...And I don't think that asking for a reimbursement or a 50% percent reimbursement is completely outrageousIn the previous documents that I emailed F

fidelity national home warranty is a complete joke when it comes to warranty and customer service, I called with a simple request for a broken ceiling fan (which as I as told was covered ) the tech came out assured me it would be taken care of and end of problem(2) days later I get a call from fidelity stating that this was customer neglect and it was not coveredthat was very surprising to me as the ceiling fan is 15FT in the air and I could not get to it if I tried without a very tall latter and even so would be quite a taskthey required a $ [redacted] upfront fee of which I paid and said that was the service chargeso I disputed the charge with my credit card company (wells fargo) who did a complete investigation and determined it was indeed fraudnow they have suspended my coverage and could care less about what they are doing to the general public who buys there productthis warranty is a complete scam and a waste of money save yourself the trouble and use another company

They take your service fees, the work done made matters worse. They won't do anything to help! Friday 3/11/16 I called to file a claim for a plumbing issue I had with my kitchen sink. The company they sent out snaked the drain & stated they could not find the reason for the issue. Sunday morning 3/13/16 my house is worse than before the company came out. My toilets won't flush, water is coming up the shower drains. So I proceed to call the home warranty company & let them know my house is way worse than before. The lady was so rude & im very calmly trying to tell her the issue now wasn't here until the other company did work. She informs me I would have to pay another fee & wait for someone to come out again. That's all the information I was given. The 2nd company comes out today & informed me since I don't have a cleanout outside the house they can't perform the work. That would have been great to know ahead of time so I could have hired someone to do the work myse

I received a bill for 75$, when I contacted Fidelity I spoke with [redacted] She stated at first the bill was for repairs done on October 2ndI immediately said that nobody came to my house that dayThen she changed it and said it was for repairs that were completed on 8/21/I advised her that nothing was completed on that day, that all they did was recommend that the coil be cleanedShe put me on hold to contact the company who stated that they changed the circuit panel on 8/21/When she came back on the line I told her that the panel was changed on 8/9/prior to the compressor being replacedThat was how they found out the compressor needed to be repairedShe told me "the technician has no reason to lie" implying that I am the one lying to herI told her I have the receipts as to what happened that day, she immediately corrected me and said I have recommendations NOT RECEIPTSIn all actuality I have the invoices with the work that was done each dayOn 8/21/t

Water recirculation pump in my house diedContacted Fidelity National Home WarrantyThey scheduled to have a water heating company visit my houseThis is a second time this pump has died, and Fidelity selected repair company replaced the last pump at Fidelity's cost (fully covered by home insurance)Last time, the only repair was the replacement of the failed pumpNew company sent ( [redacted] ) technician suggests all pipes need to be replaced and new valves installed and Fidelity stated all these costs will be at home owner expenseContacted Fidelity and explained that these changes are not needed and were not needed last time eitherAsked to have a different company do the jobThey refusedOnly option they offered was cash payout for the pump, and not replacement costAdditionally, they also charged me extra for service charge, even though there was no work done, and technician did not charge either me or FidelityNow I have to find my own plumber, pay

Since moving into our home in August we have had issues several times with our upstairs AC unitIncluding a couple weeks ago which required a substantial repair to the outside unitLess than two weeks later, the AC had issues againThis time it was the air-handler inside and it was determined it needed to be replaced due to a freon leakBecause of [redacted] Law, if the air-handler gets replaced, the exterior part of the system needs to be replaced as wellFidelity has offered to replace the air-handler, but refuses to cover the outside unit since they deem it "working"Given the proximity of the two issues, I find it hard to believe the leak on the air-handler was not present at time the outside unit though since it wasn't inspected at that time there is no way to know for sureIt seems ridiculous that with the number of issues we have had with the AC, the fact we have their highest "comprehensive" coverage, their mission statement, and email exchanges stating that this should be

Pool contractor sent by Fidelity Home Warranty to repair a pool pump issue performed an illegal workFidelity Home Warranty was informed within weeks after the installation and said I should deal directly with the pool companyWhen the pool company stopped responding to my inquires, I contacted Fidelity Home Warranty againAfter spending hours on hold, they always say they need to reach out to the pool company and will call me back within hoursThey never call you backYou have to call them and wait another hour on holdI spoke with them times in the last month and they made no effort to resolve the issue

I am writhing on behalf my sister in law whom doesn't speak English . her address [redacted] . She moved to the house I was there and her daughter helping ,we washed for two days with her washing machine it was working great a week later it stopped agitating ,she called the insurance they came charged 65 dollars left told he will come back with the parts to fix it . she gets a call they will not fix it because it was broken before I don't know where they got their information she doesn't speak English they wrote s where she was born never seen that practice before yet they still will not honor the contract the women is 80 years old she has no idea what is going on she is without a washer she bought the insurance specially for that because she live on very fixed income doesn't have money to fix things up they took her 65 dollars and left her hanging .We called explained they refuse to listen .

I reached out to this abhorrent company to fix a broken refrigerator in my new homeAfter the serviceman came and replaced the internal computer in the unit, I thanked him and he promptly left ($charge)The next day I realized the water/ice dispenser was no longer working so I called again to have him return and fix the issueThree days later the same serviceman arrived but that morning the water had mysteriously begun to flow againWhen asked if he could check the unit anyway in case it was an intermittent issue, he explained that the water flow issue was to be expected following the previous repair (even though he never warned me to expect it) and that the pipes had just likely frozen and needed a day or two to thawTo be clear, on the second visit he *never [redacted] touched the unit and admitted the water issue was related to his previous repairUpon leaving, he said he wouldn't charge me and that he was sorry for the confusion Then I got a bill for another $a week laterCustomer service refused to waive the charge and were extremely rude on the phoneThey claimed the second visit was unrelated to the first Scammers, the lot of themSTAY AWAY!

I bought the home warranty and one of my garage door opener popped open on its own and fried by itself when I was closing it. The contractor hired by FNHW came, a very young guy apparently not sure about what he was doing, took a few pictures and told us he could not do anything about it and left after 3 minutes. The report he left us showed a broken cover and burned electronic board, consistent with what we observed. However we didn't know that when he got back, his report to FNHW falsely insisted that the burned board was due to a power surge, which I was sure did not happen. I contacted FNHW, was told that the warranty covers only 'normal wear and tear', meaning if you have something going wrong with your appliances, you are out of luck - FNHW only covers when the appliance 'dies naturally', which doesn't make sense. When I contacted their customer services, after being put on hold for over an hour, I was hang up twice. When I finally got through, I was asked to have another professional to take a look and file a report to FNHW at my own cost, which I will do. I will ask for arbitration on this issue and I would not recommend their service to anyone. I may cancel the contract depending on the outcome of further action. Overall, a quite negative experience.

I hate this company they're is scam I'll not recommend people go with this company just through money away.

On May our upstairs ton split system Bryant AC was not coolingWe called for service and the Technician who came out stated that a filter dryer was not installed therefore they denied the claimI showed them that the manufactures installation manual lists a filter dryer as a recommended and not a required partAfter multiple service calls over a 1/month period (at least 6) from companies sent by FNHW and myself it was determined that the TXV valve was defective and needed to be replacedFNHW agreed to the repair and set up the repair with [redacted] which is one of their vendorsThe technician said he had the wrong part and needed to return later that dayI received notice later that the TXV valve would not be replaced because the coil would also have to be replacedSince the coil would have to be replaced the Condenser unit would have to be replaced but since it was not defective but a rather a compatibility issue I would be responsible to replace the Conden

We are attempting to work through Fidelity National Homeowners Warranty (FNHW) to repair our furnaceIn the past hours, we have spoken with at least a dozen different FNHW reps and spent more than six hours on holdWe are trying to work through the system, but it seems impossibleSince we are in a remote area ( [redacted] FNHW has no contractors to respond to our service requestWe have brought in two different contractors to look at the problem, and FNHW has argued price and requirements with both of themNow they are saying they may need to send out their contractor (?) to look at it before they can authorize the high amount to replace the furnaceWe are at days and counting with no heat and no expectation that it will be resolved anytime soonFNHW makes you feel helpless and keeps you going in circlesThey have wasted our time, and also the time of the four different contractors from two different companies that have been at our home to investigate the
