I subscribed to Sinemia believing that I could use the subscription at a theater minutes from my house as their website indicated I subscribed to sinemia believing that I could use the movie theater subscription service at the Batavia [redacted] theater, as their website indicated The theater is minutes from my house Turns out, this theater is not honoring the Sinemia subscription service where movie tickets are booked through movieticket.com or atomtickets.comThis misrepresentation and their solution of driving to a theater minutes away does not fly with me Additionally, I have sent several emails to their support email provided by their website over the previous months, but they never replied I only found out recently on reddit that they only respond to twitter and messenger(?!)Their customer service support is horrible I have requested a refund and they will not comply

Sinemia isn't even worth star We signed up for our membership a couple of months ago and in that short amount of time, we have had more issues than not We would have never paid in full for a one year membership (which was not made clear when we signed up) that we aren't able to use We have attempted to use our membership to purchase advance tickets through the app and the website several times over the last two months Twice we were actually able to use it and times we weren't able to because of the "Connection Error" and "Host Error - Bad Gateway" messages that prevented from being able to do so That is also times (10/31, 12/and ½) that I have contacted their so called "Sinemia Support" only to receive an automatic response stating that my message was received and that they would be in contact "as soon as we ***." Needless to say, I still have yet to receive a response In hopes of having avoiding any issues online, I have requested our physical cards I realized after my initial request that Sinemia doesn't have my address to actually be able to mail my card to I added my address and requested a card again After several weeks of waiting for the card, I went on the Sinemia website to request the physical card AGAIN I noticed that there is now a fee of $29.98/card We have the Classic Membership, which is for people, so I would have to pay another $just for us to have physical cards Ironically enough, the same day that I had an issue, I received an email from Sinema with the "newly added features." One of the new features is that they "made a conscious effort to eliminate ticket purchase errors." Apparently they didn't, because that is the same day that I received an error Sinemia also claims to have increased their customer support department "to prevent customer issues before they occur Their claim that their "biggest priority is to address customer support issues" is another LIE! We made the switch to Simemia from MoviePass [redacted] we are certainly regretting that change Sinemia is a total ripoff They were quick to take our money and after that...crickets And now, months later, I am still waiting on a response from separate messages Oh and their email address on their website to contact for support (https://help.sinemia.com) isn't even a real email address!!! SUCH A JOKE!! I would like a refund of my membership Considering that I paid over $for a membership that I ***'t even use, in addition to the ticket purchases that I made because Sinemia wouldn't work, is in my opinion, theft If you are considering Sinemia, DON'T DO IT!! I purchased a 12 month movie plan which never worked for me. I received error after error while using the plan. I emailed sinemia and was only told they would look into it. Since then sinemia has gone out of business in the u.s. if you Google their name, you will see how they have been involved in fraud and took money from many people.

I'll keep this brief as I can with everything bad about the service: They promise you a card you use at theatresThey don't advertise they discontinued the card, forcing you to use the app and pay "convenience fees" when you book through Fandango, Atom, etc The app is a horrible UI and experienceI won't go into detail here, but if you're not an app-savvy tech person, it will get annoying, fast Bait and switchI'm an annual member, prepaid a year for around $for tickets a monthTwo months in, they began charging everyone an extra $"processing fee" every time I reserve a ticket, which I essentially already paid forNote this is on top of the "convenience" fees most of us already didn't know we'd be payingAfter contacting them on Twitter (which took days to figure out since their phone number is dead and their inbox returned as "full"), we were pointed to the terms and conditions where it left room for them to start charging me this fee They didn't know I printed out the terms when I initially signed up, and they CHANGED the terms I signed up with without telling me, literally the part that says they can't change my terms in the middle of the plan! They refused to refund a cent even after I called them out on it...they simply don't care I have to go through the hassle of a chargeback for my full membership through my credit card, and heed my warning, so you don't have to, as well

Please avoid this company at all costsI've never felt the need to leave a negative review for a company until my experience with SinemiaThey're representatives are, or are forced to be, very dishonest and the company has incredibly questionable business practicesI signed up and paid for an annual plan in April, and since then, they have made changes to their service and terms and conditions in their favorUsers are now being charged a "processing fee" for every transaction which increases the cost of the service by quite a bit (30% in my own case, but varies depending on the plan you've signed up for), and we don't have any option but to pay this extra fee or not use the service and have our pre-paid amount go to wasteAdditionally, their customer service (when you're lucky for a reply) consists of repetitive general FAQ responses based on statements that go in circles until you are able to prove their dishonestyFor example, I requested an update for my physical card (already been a month wait) and asked if Sinemia was still sending them outFor one whole month, the customer service representative confirmed that they were still sending out physical cards but that he is unable to provide an estimated shipping time, then after I pointed some information out to him, he finally admitted that Sinemia stopped shipping out physical cards to members who signed up after June 21, I signed up before that date and still haven't received my card, and I read a reply on social media directly from Sinemia that the services is completely cardless nowMost recently, I received an e-mail stating that my account has been terminated because I was abusing the serviceThere was no warning, I ***'t log into my account anymore, and the claim was completely with no justification/proofApologies for this long-winded review, but I'd really like to warn other consumers thinking about signing up for this service to reconsider as I've personally (and I [redacted] see I'm not alone) have had nothing but a frustrating experience with this company

This was such a bad decision and there are no refunds so I am just out of luckI just have to make sure I cancel as quickly as possible to avoid extra hidden fees
