Sinemia went out of business and I want a refund of my remaining months of membership. Sinemia also imposed unauthorized processing fees.
I signed up for Sinemia on September 6, 2018. I paid $119.88 via debit card for an annual plan for three movies per month. When using Sinemia to purchase a ticket on October 29, 2018, Sinemia charged an unauthorized $1.80 processing fee per ticket. I incurred subsequent processing fees on November 9, 2018; November 13, 2018; December 1, 2018; February 3, 2019; February 4, 2019; and unauthorized double charges ($3.60) on December 12, 2018 and December 31, 2018.

In addition, on December 11, 2018, my Sinemia cardless information was declined, forcing me to pay for movie ticket out of pocket.

Recently, I attempted to use the Sinemia app to reserve a ticket only to be prevented from completing the reservation process after getting a warning message that my account was temporarily locked due to the requirement of having his identification verified. In order to reactivate my account, I was advised I would need to submit both a government issued ID and a selfie ID to reactivate my account.

I would not have purchased his Sinemia movie plan had I known of the processing fees, or I would have paid significantly less for it than I did.

For two months (February and March 2019) the Sinemia mobile application on Android was not functional. I was not able to purchase any movie tickets because I would get an "unknown error". For those two months because I was unable to use the service, my membership money was wasted in the amount of ($19.98).

I have contacted Sinemia more than 20 times via email since October 2018 for a refund and cancellation and Sinemia did not comply.

Sinemia ceased all operations in the United States on April 26, 2019 without any warning. My annual subscription money went to waste.

Desired Outcome

I request a pro-rated refund of $69.93 for the remaining 5 months of my membership because Sinemia went out of business. $69.93 refund includes a refund for months of February and March 2019 because Sinemia app was not functional and I could not use their service. Therefore, the total refund I request is $69.93 which is equivalent to 7 months of Sinemia membership at $9.99 per month.

Paid for services. Services have been stressful and unstable. Lack of customer services.
Paid for annual movie subscription services. Services have been stressful being there are always problem purchasing movie tickets Sinemia App. No response from Sinemia when I have emailed them about problem. There's no customer service number at all. There is absolutely no way to contact them directly to resolve issue. I couldn't use my membership with Sinemia to the fullest since there's always a glitch somewhere.

I will like Sinemia to refund my annual subscription fee of $200 and the purchased gift card of $160, totaling $360.00.

I purchased a year's subscription to Sinemia, but after about 2 months, the app stopped working, and I have not been able to use the service a month.
On December 25, 2018, I purchase a year's subscription for Sinemia's movie service plan to allow me to watch three movies a month. I had some issues using the app to purchase advance tickets online and sent an email to Sinemia on January 12, 2019, which Sinemia acknowledged receiving but never responded to.

On January 13, 2019, I purchased the Sinemia card to allow me to purchase tickets at the movie theater and get around the issues I was having with advance tickets and avoid paying any additional fees when seeing a movie.

The app was working fine until March 31, 2019. Since March 31, 2019 I have not been able to use the app or card to get movie tickets, which I had prepaid back in December. I sent Sinemia an email on March 31, 2019 asking for a refund of a movie ticket I had purchased on my own, since their app and card was not working. On April 1, I sent Sinemia Support a direct message on Twitter. I sent another email on April 20, 2019 detailing how I was getting to the final confirmation page in the app and getting a generic "Error" message. I stated in this email that if they could not fix the issue within five days, that I would like a full refund of the card fee I paid ($14.99), and that I would like a prorated refund of the annual subscription fee I paid. I sent another message through their online portal on April 21, 2019. I have not received any response from Sinemia. Having read dozens of reviews of other customers having the same issues, I'm starting to believe the business is a scam and that the best option is to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Since January 7, 2019 (the date my account was activated), I have been entitled to watch 12 movies, and I have only been able to watch 8 because Sinemia's app is not working as advertised. Given the terrible service and the product/service not working as advertised, I request that Sinemia close my account and refund me my money.

I paid for Sinemia via credit card. It is a service that allows you to purchase movie tickets. I chose the 1 ticket per month plan for a cost of $47.88 and paid for it on July 19, 2019. The plan worked for some time.

Then on Sunday, March 24, 2019, I tried to use our Sinemia accounts to purchase tickets through the mobile app. When selecting a website to purchase the tickets from, the following message appeared on each of our phones: "Error! An Unknown error occurred. Please try again later!" Due to this error, I was not able to purchase the tickets in order to see the movie.

On Tuesday March 26th 2019, I attempted to purchase tickets using the mobile app. Once again, I was given the same message and was unable to see a movie again. I tried again multiple times after that.

Please refund me for the service I paid for but am unable to use.

Company won't offer service. I want reimbursement of remaining of my annual subscription and credit card I was never to use
In November 2018, I bought the Sinemia annual membership to goto the movies twice a week. In March, the app stopped working. I contacted them via email several times and they never responded. I twitted about it and they responded and fixed the app. After a few days, the app stopped working again. I contacted them via email with no response. I twitted about it. I bought the credit card they sold to buy tickets at the theater. It never worked. Now they are shutting down. In five months, I was only able to watch 5 movies, several times went to the theater to waste my time because I couldn't use their services, and they never respond to emails.

I want them to reimburse the $49 for the remaining of my annual subscription and the $25 I paid for the card I was never able to use.

I had filed a previous complaint. which they did not resolve. now they are saying they are no longer active in the united states/ however, their website shows my account as being active. I want a refund. I havent been able to use my account at all

My account did not work after paying the yearly subscription. I emailed them twice with no response and there was no notification that they were filing for bankruptcy. When I go to the website now there is no option to contact for my refund.

Bait and switch
Worst company I've ever dealt with. They are a classic bait and switch, they lull you in with a seemingly low fee, then they charge your credit card "convenience fees" you never agreed to. And now they canceling all memberships without refunds, apparently because they are going into bankruptcy, per U.S. news reports. I've asked for a refund, which they have not given. They have been refusing my refund requests for almost two months. DO NOT USE!!!

I have tried to purchase movie tickets with this application and it never worked.
I have had an account with them for over 3 months. They have taken my money every month but I have not been able to use the service. It just doesn't work. I purchased 2 annual subscriptions, and within 6 months, the company shut down its US-based services and has refused to issue me a refund for the remainder of my subscription.

News articles say Sinemia has ceased US operations. The article recommended contacting your bank for a chargeback.

I have a year long membership to a movie subscription service ($191), which was initiated in January, 2019 and which I have never been able to use.
I have paid for a movie subscription service, which started in January and have not yet used it. I am told I need to verify my ID (which I have already done) but the app is not working on my phone. I cannot remove it an install again, I cannot reset the password, I keep emailing them and not getting any response other than a robo email. Horrible app and service. My preference would be to cancel entirely (does not bode well for future use) but if I ***'t do that, would at least like to be able to use it.

I gave notice to Sinemia on 4/15 that I wanted a pro-rated refund. They announced 4/25 that they are shutting down. They committed fraud.
I purchased an annual pass with the company in 2018. They promised 3 movie passes per month. I used the service until it stopped working in March when they had their 'big sale.' I gave it a month after notifying them. No response and no fix. I read every other customer experienced the same thing. Just an error message and no delivery on their promised service. They took the money, did a big sale the next year, then shut down. That's fraud. I contacted them on 4/15 demanding a refund for undelivered services that I paid for. I received an auto-generated response which I said in my initial e-mail would not be considered a response. I then wrote again and received the e-mail that they've shut down. They need to be taken to court for what they did across this country. It's robbery.

Sinemia terminate
Sinemia has terminated service forever and I have paid for service until December of next year. I want a partial refund for the percentage of the payment for service I paid in advance for, from may to December of next year.

I signed up for a membership in May and have not received all of the things I was promised and ***'t get in contact for a refund of my subscription.
I signed up for a membership May 26, 2018 and was promised a physical card that could be used like a debit card at the movie theater to purchase tickets. When the card took 2-3 months to arrive, they said I'd be emailed when it was shipped and the delay was due to high demand. After 6 months the card never showed up and customer service stopped answering my emails. This is when I became very frustrated and tried to cancel. When I signed up, my only option was to pay for an entire year up front, so I lost $83.88. The card that I was originally promised to avoid all of the added fees associated with online ticket purchasing was then made available for an additional $15, which it was supposed to be included when I signed up. Customer service hasn't answered any of my emails over the last 2-3 months and I am very frustrated with the absolute scam this subscription was.

I signed up for the annual subscription with SiNEMiA but in the past few months, the app has been unusable, making it impossible for me to use my subscription. I've contacted the company's support but the issue has not been resolved. Many people are experiencing the same issue and it's not resolved for any of them either, which is highly concerning. I would like to cancel my membership and get a prorated refund but SiNEMiA is notorious for not responding to customer request, so there is no way for me to contact their support and resolve the issue the regular way. I'm hoping that this is a more effective way to get the company to respond.

Sinemia is a subscription service to purchase movie tickets. I'm unable to use there app from last month. they are not responding to customer emails.
I paid $110 for 1 year sinemia membership, now the app and site is not allowing me to book online tickets. the customer service is not even responding to any emails. I started my plan on 02/26/2019 I just watched one movie, from next it's not allowing me to reserve tickets in online so, I bought physical card from sinemia that card also not working. I sent many mails to them no response from there side.
