I have signed up for premium subscription on 1/08/and signed up accelerated service for immediate activation I have tried couple of times the given virtual card getting declined and I have tried today 01/08/also same issue I have sent an email to support team no response from them Looks like this is not genuine website/service Am requesting them for refund as am not used for single ticket from this sinemia website

I have been in contact with Sinemia no less than forty times on Facebook, their website, and emailThey did not cancel my membership The card hardly works (half the time) and they apparently did not cancel my membership after no less than ten requestsNow after charging me again for the service they refuse to refund it and now for the first time say I can go online to cancelI can't find the area to cancel online and they won't tell me whereThey are scammers and just really incredibly rude and money hungryI haven't been able to use this card and can't cancel!!

Paid for two years of service and the service only worked for half of my first year
I paid for two years of service and I did use my movie tickets for about six months into my first year I got offered to pay for my second year at discount. My second year I was not able to use one ticket from the service their first year only work for six months I did file a complaint with *** they put me through visa Canada Which I placed a formal complaint I still never have received a refund and now to see the company is shut down how do I get my money back I'm not too concerned about the months for the service Worked I just would like my money back for the Half year the service stopped working and for the second year which I paid for in advance for a discount I used 0% of the second year plan I have Visa statements showing when the service was working word shows when the last time I bought a ticket was with the service I just want to know if there is anyway I can get some compensation For the whole year which I Prepaid in advance And for part of the year when it stopped working I do have proof

scam cancel my account that I already paid for a year without a refund

I purchased a 1 year membership. The following day their website was closed down. I never received any services and had paid $120.

I contacted my credit card company who filed a dispute, but after 3 months they closed the dispute and said they could not get anything from Sinemia and were re-charging me for the purchase.

I would like the $120 that I paid for services refunded and I was never able to use ANY service from them.

I purchased several memberships for my family and immediately encountered issues not being able to see any movies until they closed down a month later

Paid for a year subscription in December2018. Their app never allowed me to get movie ticket. Out of business 4/2019. No refund issued. App active
Paid for a year subscription on November 27,2018 which allowed me to see 1 movie a month for free. Plan effective from 12/29/2018- 12/04/2019. Their digital application never worked and was unable to purchase any tickets. The one ticket I did order I was charged full price in January,2019.
In April,2019 the company announced it ceased operations. I was unaware of this because their mobile application continues to offer movie theatre choices and allows you to select tickets for a showtime. It just always ends in an error message and you never get tickets. They continue to offer gift cards and tell you how many more movies you are eligible for

I am writing for my dispute with ***. I purchased a *** plan on 02/02/2019 for $191.88 and did not receive a continued service after April
I am writing to provide supporting evidence for my dispute with ***. I purchased a *** plan on 02/02/2019 for $191.88. This was an up-front payment for 1 year of service, which began on 02/21/2019. The service was to pay for 1 movie ticket for me every month.

In March, the service ceased functioning. *** requires users to purchase tickets through their smartphone app, but in March the majority of *** users began experiencing an error in the app which prevented us from purchasing tickets. This affected me as well.

Here is a news article from a journalist who documented the continuing non-functionality of the *** service in April, despite ***'s claims that the service was running. The journalist created two new accounts with ***. He purchased one account under an anonymous pseudonym. This account did not function. He purchased another account under his own name, and informed *** that he would be testing their service. This account did function.

Clearly, *** had ceased to function by this point.

Towards the end of April 2018, *** officially declared that their US operations were bankrupt, and they shut down the company.

I am requesting a refund of $191.88 to cover the months of service that *** was unable to deliver.

The Sinemia app no longer worked since end of March 2019
I had purchased the Sinemia App as of Aug 27 2018. My App did work about 3 times until end of March 2019, where I no longer could proceed with tickets online. I had to buy my own tickets from the theatre. I submitted on Sinemia's website about the App not working but has never heard a response from them. I would like Sinemia to reimburse with all the movies I had to purchase because the app did not work.

Paid 2 annual memberships and was only able to use the first 2 months. App was not working, several attempts to contact the company to no avail
Only got to use the membership privilege 2 times during the first 2 months of memebership. Several attempts via email to try to resolve the issue was done and only auto generated email response was received. Even tried social media/twitter to reach out to the company but no response and resolution received.

On 12/11/2018, I bought a 2 gift cards from Sinemia. $40 and $80 I also made a $43.88 purchase for 1 year membership. In april 2019, they shut down effectively: *** I tried contacting numerous times with NO ANSWER. However they didn't refund or compensate any of the left over balances or gift cards. This means they scammed me and many other people who still have money in the gift cards. I still have $120 worth of Sinemia in gift cards.

I tried contacting numerous times, with no answer. I tried to claim with my bank and was denied.

Sinemia recently stopped proving services, and wont respond to any emails or phone calls. They just went out of business in USA as they say in their website. But the issue here is I subscribed for one year and they never refunded my money back that I Paid for whole year of services. Even while their services were active they had terrible customer service. I was charged wrongly once and tried to reach them but never could reach their customer service. At last when I did they went out of business, and never heard from them again. I started Sinemia account on 01/19/2019. They charged my a bank account $107.88 on 01/07/2019. I never heard back from sinemia despite calling them and sending an email many times. I demand my money back for the services I was never provided with.

Misleading advertising and inability to follow through on service offer.
I signed up for a plan that was advertised as providing three movie tickets a month for $7.99 a month. After signing up I was notified that I could begin to use the service once it was activated. I was given an indefinite time frame for when that activation would occur, however I was then offered to activate it immediately for $19.99, which gave me instant buyers remorse, as it was clear that I was going to be charged additional fees for any little convenience, including simply using the service right after paying for it. No restrictions or delays were covered in the company advertising. My account activated about ten days later. Upon using the service to purchase a movie ticket, I was then advised that there was a $1.50 surcharge I would have to pay for any ticket purchase, essentially stating that the movie tickets are not free with the service, but that I would be paying a monthly fee to buy them for $1.50 each time.

To date I have been able to purchase one ticket through the service, on 04/12/2019. On 04/13/2019 I attempted to use the service for the second time, to purchase an advance movie ticket (a heavily advertised feature). When I selected the theater I wanted, I was then given a list of the films to select. The film I was interested in was not listed. I attempted to locate the film using the search function, which did not work at all. I have since discovered that the search function is unreliable, and will sometimes be able to use it, or sometimes it will not work for several hours.

Once I was able to locate the film, I was then advised that purchases for this film ticket would be restricted to one of two ticketing sites (another restriction never promoted), either Atom or Movietickets, and given the option to select either, or select a third option, "Other ticket selling channel." It does not matter which option I select, I receive an message stating that an error has occurred, and cannot proceed any further with the service.

Since 04/13/2019, this has been the totality of service I have received. The error message now appears (along with the limited purchase options) for all films, and the same error always accompanies it. The same error also appears when you attempt to get help through the app for technical issues.

On 04/14/2019, I sent a Facebook message to the Sinemia page advising of the issue, as I could find no other contact options for the issue. I never received a response.

On 04/15, I left a negative review in the Google Play Store for the service outlining my current experiences. On 04/23/2019, I was contacted by the company for the first time, asking how I could be helped based on the review.

I responded, advising of all the issues above, stating I did not have faith in the service, and would prefer to have the annual subscription I had prepaid refunded, but advised simply a functional service offer instead would be acceptable.

The following day I received a reply letting me know that the company does not offer refunds under any circumstances, but that my issue had been forwarded to technical support.

On 04/25/2019, I received a new email from the technical support team letting me know that they had not heard from me over the past 24 hours, so I needed to respond in the next 24 hours or my case would be closed. This was the first contact I had received advising any contact from me was still expected. I responded, exactly as directed in that email, two minutes later. I have received no contact from the company whatsoever since sending that email. I have followed up once, but no response has been received since. I continue to still experience the same issues, and am completely unable to use the service I have paid for, and cannot be refunded for.

As I do not have any reason to believe that the company can or will provide the service that was sold to me, I expect to be refunded my annual subscription fee, less the price of the one movie ticket I have purchased using the service, with the exception of the additional $1.50 I paid to buy the ticket for "free."

Only able to use 6 months of service when I prepaid for a years use according to their agreement.
I prepaid for an entire year of service, but the company is no longer allowing use of service and fails to respond. I've had to jump through hoops just to get them to fix minor charges wrongfully places on their end, and now I'm not even able to use the service for the rest of the year long membership I prepaid for. They refuse to contact me or ever respond to requests for help. If i'm denied use of a service I have prepaid for then I expect the money for future unusable months should be paid back and refunded to me. Otherwise, they are just wrongfully taking my money without provided the agreed upon service from their end. Being after a few months from the charge I'm unable to dispute any part of it on my credit card statement, but am certainly entitled to money back if the fault is on the provider of service and not the consumer.

The company has gone out of business in the United States. I want a refund for remaining 7 months of my subscription.
I have a year subscription that was purchased in October 2018. The subscription entitles me to 3 movie tickets per month. I have not been able to purchase any tickets in April with the app and then on April 25th I read they have closed all business in United States. No warning, no answer to the numerous I had sent about my problem. I am owed a refund of $69.93 plus the $15.99 they charged for the debit to use at theaters.

I expect a refund of $69.93 for the unused months of the subscription and a refund of $14.99 for purchase of the card.

Discontinued service
There service of allowing to use there app to get movie tickets was not available to me or my girlfriend since 3/22/19. They have since stopped operations in the United States and I would like a full refund as they have not provided the service that I signed up for.

I paid for many months for a service that only allowed me to use it successfully once.
My account shows I saw 2 movies, but I had to pay cash for the 2nd movie because Sinemia did not pay. Every time I tried to use the service, it did not work, except once. I even paid additional for a physical card, and when I tried to use it, it did not work. Sinemia did not respond to several emails and phone calls at all. Customer service does not exist.

I want my money back. I kept my side of the contract but they did not keep theirs. They took my money and gave me only one movie though I paid them monthly over a series of months.

Horrible customer service, I've already been charged for the plan so I would like to use but the app is not working.

Sinemia has effectively not provided the subscription service paid for via membership.
Sinemia has effectively not provided the subscription service paid for via annual membership. Membership included incessant, interrupted service with an inoperable app, largely unresponsive and unhelpful customer service, convenience and service/handling fees that were more expensive than those fees charged by intended theater, and and as of April 25, 2019, Sinemia has shuttered entirely and has not issued refunds for my 12-month annual membership.
