Have been unable to use service for months. Have reached out to company over email and Twitter no response.
I purchased a year-long Sinemia membership in August 2018 for $95.88. I have been unable to use the service for months, the app just presents an error message. I waited a few months to see if they would fix the app. They're a new company, problems happen. The issue has still not been resolved. I have tried to contact support over email and Twitter and do not receive any response.

The Sinemia app does not allow you to book tickets anymore, which is its main function. Support has not responded for over a month.
The Sinemia app stopped working a month ago and my efforts to get support from the company have been ignored. I have purchased an annual membership, so I am not getting the service that I paid for. The app is the only place to book movies from their company and since the app is not allowing that function, there is no way to get what I paid for. I took a look at their Twitter support page and I see that there are tons of similar problems for others, so I am assuming they are not delivering anything at all and just taking peoples' money.

I believe I should get a prorated refund because I paid for an annual service and that service has been non existent for the past month.

This is the most disappointing service I've ever purchased. Things started out OK with Sinemia, but pretty soon they started to change the terms of service I signed up under: 12 months, 2 tickets, 2 times per month at a fixed rate. First they added a per use processing fee - whereas I was initially led to believe that payment of the initial 12 month fee was all that was required for 12 months worth of tickets. Like other users, I didn't like the added fee but I endured it. Then Sinemia asked for ID verification. It was an unnecessary hassle, but like others I complied. Next they added another fee - purportedly to cover any external website's service charges for tickets. Sinemia charged a minimum of $0.90/ticket, even when the external website's charges were actually zero. All this I, and others, went along with. However, when Sinemia realized they were losing money on users like me who used our contracted tickets each month, they simply terminated my membership without cause. Sinemia was unable to name any specific violation - I asked (they only provided a only a form letter). They gave no recourse to claim a refund for unused months (6/12 unused months) - they only offered me a "usage history" showing that I had indeed used their service the past 6 months = not helpful because it gave no refund for the 6 unused months. Their claim: We ***'t offer a refund because you have already used the financial benefit of 6 months of service which is now equal to or greater than your initial annual fee. The problem with this: That is not the terms of service that were offered, which was 12 month, 2 tickets, 2 times per month at a set one-time annual fee = 48 tickets in my case and not an undetermined amount of tickets equal to the cash amount of the one-time annual fee. When I reached out, Sinemia "answered" a few emails with canned form letter responses, but then said they were *doneand *the conversation was finished*. From my perspective, there was no conversation they ever engaged in; a conversation would have entailed a two-way dialogue or actual evidence of a specific violation of the terms of use. All they provided was a denial of our previously agreed upon and contracted services. This was without a doubt the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Please do not trust this company. They do not care about the customer. They will take you money and terminate your account. And they will offer no real recourse for resolution. I will dutifully tell this to anyone who will listen.

On Christmas I used two gift cards to create a family plan. Only one account was set up though I paid for 2 and my gift cards both show deductions taken from them that would anmount to two annual subscriptions. Ever since I have tried insistently to contact customer service with no help. I have avoided using the family plan as it is not inclusive of both accounts and do not want to cause further problems. I want the current account to be closed and my money reimbursed to the gift cards so I can start the whole process over, skipping the faulty family plan system and just creating two separate Sinemia accounts.

I would like a complete refund or a reimbursement of the funds to the following gift cards. They were used with the account connected to the email address ***@sbcglobal.net ***'s gift card code: *** ***'s gift card code: *** I want to have my gift card's refunded with the full amount, so we can start the process of signing up again. The initial sign up ran into errors, and we are still waiting, after 4 months now, to get customer service support from Sinema. Once stein, I put two gift card codes into the system to create a Family Plan. Only one account was created within the Family Plan, but both codes were used up. Neither of these Sinemia accounts have been used since this problem. I've been trying to get things straight, but the customer service operations at Sinemia is preposterously unresponsive. They do not communicate whatsoever with my attempts to receive help. They seem satisfied with having taken the money and provide zero support or service.

I have purchased 2 plans ($95.88 & $191.88) on 02/08 and requested support to revert $95.88 as I did wrong product. Merchant not responded back and also not provided service then I contacted bank to dispute transaction.
Merchant replied to my initial request that you are working with bank for your disputes and now we are suspended your account and if they are unable to credit your amount then contact us.
unfortunately Bank not able resolved my disputes and they said that I have to work with merchant, then I contacted Merchant by email and requested to resume my account to user service for both plans. they are not responding back to me and not able to contact by phone as they didn't provide customer service number in their website.

Service doesn't work and customer support doesn't work.
This company is still advertising and taking people's money for a service that is a fraud. You are sucked into paying for a full years service but the app stops working after 2 months. The site will come up with timed out signs or error codes which will not allow you to use the site. My friends that I talked into subscribing to the site are all having same problems. The customer support sends an automated reply that they will contact you in 48hrs but they never do. It is basically a license to steal. The worst part is they keep advertising and scamming new customers.

This is my second Revdex.com complaint against Sinemia. The first one was because of an apparent glitch in their app; this one is an apparent glitch as well, but a different one. I have been unable to reserve any of the 2 movie tickets/month that my plan is supposed to cover. I paid a full one-year subscription at the start (8/2018) and have been unable to use the service for months now. I get to a certain point in the reservation process and then it will not go any further, without any explanation. I have emailed the company twice (4/15 & 4/19) regarding this matter and neither one has been answered. I can't use the service at all so I have requested a refund.

As I have not been able to use Sinemia to reserve tickets I've already paid for and have been paying out of pocket, and Sinemia will not resolve this issue or even respond to my emails (previous issue was in Februarythey removed the penalty fee for my inability to check in at the theater, but now I ***'t reserve tickets at all), I am requesting a full refund to my Visa that I paid for the subscription with.

The business breached the contract terms and did not deliver the service promised at the beginning of the membership period.
A one-year movie ticket membership was purchased on 8/2/2018 to allow the online or in-person purchase of up to 3 movie tickets per month. Six months into the one-year term, the online ticket purchase method was made inactive. Two months later, the in-person purchase method was inactivated as well, violating the terms of service under the one-year membership.
There was some customer service in the beginning, but that assistance later became inactive as well, providing to resolution to the problems.

I have bought one year membership and still have two months left on my membership. I am not able to purchase any tickets for the app.

I can't get the app to work and no one has responded back to me to try to resolve it after 4 emails to Support.
I signed up for the movie club service at the end of March 2019. I'm supposed to get 2 movie tickets a month. They charged me a year in advance ($4.99/month).
I know someone else who has the service, so I didn't think it was a scam. But now I do.
I haven't been able to get any movie tickets using this. And there are charges from Turkey on my Visa from a time I was trying to use the app to get a movie ticket. They have not been reversed, and I still had to just buy the ticket for the movie I saw full price anyway.

I've tried the advance feature and the other features, but I can't get it to work. I've sent several emails to the company. I got a generic... "We'll contact you as soon as we can" email back, but no one has. And it's been over 3 1/2 weeks.

There's no phone number or chat on their website to talk to anyone, just emails, that apparently don't get answered.

I want all my money back. I paid $59.88 (3/21/2019) for the year in advance and then there are charges from Turkey that total $2.60 from 4/7/2019. Total of= $62.48 refund needed.

The movie ticket service is provided exclusively through an App. Once the App malfunctions, there was no recourse. No replies from the company.
Sinemia is a service that sells movie tickets at a discount through an App. That App is problematic. When it works well it is a great service, but when it fails it is completely useless. A simple search on the Apple App store shows the app has 360 1-star ratings ONLY. There is not a single person that gave any feedback other than 1-star and they all had the same problem I do: the App fails to work, and no one from Sinemia responds to the emails asking for help. Meanwhile they continue to charge monthly fees.

I signed up to use Sinemia last May. It worked for me for about 2, 3 times. The App went through various updates and as of a month ago, it would no longer work. Following their instructions, I contacted the company via email (the ONLY way to contact them) and there has been no reply. 360 other users reported the same thing.

Starting with February, when the App stopped working, I would like to be refunded my monthly service charges for February and March.

Wrote review on trust pilot on 4/21/19. Company responded through trust pilot claiming to have fixed account 4/22/19.

Still not able to use account. Attempted to cancel through website on 4/22/19. Noted through prompts that was still unable to use service. Went through all prompts but no confirmation message or email confirmation. Account still shows active and set to auto-renew. No cancellation option appears now.

Sent email asking for confirmation that account is cancelled 4/22/19. Still no response even to initial service complaint.

Cancellation and Confirmation of Cancellation. Ideally since I cannot use would like a partial refund for last month of service. However, primarily want my account cancelled!

The AP simply doesn't work. I paid for a year of service but haven't been able to get a ticket for 3 months. 6 emails to support without reply.
I paid for 3 movies per month for myself and my wife. The annual fee was applied for both of us. While the AP worked initially, we cannot get beyond selecting a theater and a movie. The AP does not advance to purchase. I have sent no fewer than six emails to support with no response. My bank will no longer contest the charge as it was made in Aug 2018. The service period is through August 2019. Based on traffic in social media it does seem that many are in the same boat.

I have subscribed to Sinemia for 1 year. I should able to watch 1 free movie per month. It is not working for 6 weeks and not allowing me to book the movie on app.

SCAM: it doesnt work even after reporting multiple time
I have not been able to use their service since March. They DO NOT answer their own email support. They will post answers(standard response that we are looking) on their site but they are NEVER able to truly fix the problem. When trying to get tickets I get nothing but an error message that I need to update the app, but I have latest version of app installed on my device. Sinemia is on the same path as Movie Pass, just stringing people along till its ultimate demise. I am frustrated of trying to reach them again and again, I want my refund now.....
