Review: I am a current customer. My Heating Contact is expiring this month, so I inquired about locking in oil pricing for the next year, just as I did the first year. I was given a price and decided to shop around. My husband and I were at our local mall this past weekend. There was a young woman there from Slomins. She had flyer stating that the price was 339.9 per gallon. When I called the office and told them I had gotten flyer they told me it was only for new customer and it was an introductory offer. Being that I was an existing customer I WAS Not entitled to this price. When I spoke to the representative there I told her NO WHERE on the Flyer did it say NEW CUSTOMER or INTRODUCTORY OFFER. She asked me to fax over the flyer which I did and that she would speak to a Manager. She did and they said it was for NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY again I stated that NO WHERE did it say this and that they should honor that price for me. They said they couldn't. This is FALSE/BAD advertising. I have been a customer for my Monitoring system for the past 5 years which is what the contract state. My contract is up in November. Needless to say I WILL NOT BE renewing this either. They just lost the Monitor and Oil business from me. Well I guess they can afford to do this.Desired Settlement: I want to be locked in at the 339.9 per gallon price for the next year of my service contract.

Review: Slomin's keeps sending bill for a termination charge of $599.00. My oil burner was ruined by super storm Sandy. Slomin's offered to replace my brand new (1 year old) burner for $6800.00. A price of $2500.00 over my new $4300.00 system. I switched to gas instead. I have sent them a copy of my gas bill. There is no oil tank on my property. I paid them for the last oil delivery three days before the storm. I did not need my tank topped off.Desired Settlement: I would also like a statement showing a zero balance

Review: I had completed my 1yr locked in price of $2.99 per gal and called to cancel in January due to pricing as well as not wanting to have the expense of filling all the way up . I was told at that time that I could lock into a better price of $2.59 per gal and I didn't have to fill all the way up , I could ask for the minimum delivery of 175 gal. I told the rep I would get back to her on the new price but in the meantime put me down for minimum delivery. My research showed that $2.29 was the going rate. Due to illness & a death in the family I didn't get back in time before my next delivery on Feb [redacted] at which time I received 202.6 gal at $2.99 for a total of $622.79! I called to say I wasn't supposed to get over the minimum & was told that [redacted] saw this in my records & he was sorry for the mistake but I still had to pay it. I told him this was unfair & he said someone would call me . I finally got in touch with someone the following week & was told they had no record of me asking for the minimum delivery only a record of it being discussed which is obviously nonsense. I told them they could come take back what I didn't order or charge me only for the 175 gal or adjust the price to the still inflated rate of $2.59 they had offered if I'd lock in another year. They told me I had no choice but to pay the full amount or they would ruin my creditDesired Settlement: adjust the price to reflect what I ordered

Review: This is the actual letter I sent to Slomin's INC

On 1/**/2014 I was at a political Radio Promotion @ [redacted], with [redacted] who came with me to the event. On that day I met [redacted] who was a sales agent for your Company. With [redacted] as a witness, [redacted] said on contract I would be called so I can be present when the oil was delivered, this never happened.

I have called several times prior to 2/*/2014 several times, my phone records will prove that, so I had my other OIL COMPANY deliver oil on 2/*/2014.

Slomin's claimed they delivered OIL on 2/**/2014 of 76.7 Gallons, and at the time I had no receipt of said delivery, but I would like to know how Slomin's put 76.7 Gallons in a full oil tank, I have also had a statement with receipt of YANKEE OIL who topped off my tank on 2/*/2014, and I never burn that much oil in 6 day's. I would only get oil once a Month prior to this, they claimed to deliver 3 times in February, non acceptable.

If they put a Gallon or two in my tank that would be a lot, but if their meters are off, this could be a scam.

Slomin's just sent me a bill for $1380.91, I have paid with the letter sent by certified receipt, $229 bill. I have cc everyone that I am contacting, but its slow because I am working 12 hour shifts,

We take our responsibilities to our customers very seriously and endeavor to achieve superior customer relations.

Slomin’s oil trucks and their meters are regularly inspected to verify its authenticity by the department of Weights and Measures. Slomin’s has always had a good reputation in the community and would welcome an impartial agency confirming that fact. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here] I have mailed by certified mail all the information that Slomin's, INC has requested. I have mailed the document the owner of Yankee OIl with his own handwriting has filled my oil tank 6 day's prior to Slomin's said delivery of OIL.

Further more they have not addressed everything on my letter. Plus I have all my past OIL DELIVERY TICKETS for the few years on how much OIL my house uses. This is still a breach of their contract I will now go put in a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office State of New York and also Division of License.

Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the unresolved complaint of consumer [redacted].

As stated in our previous response Slomin’s oil trucks and their meters are regularly inspected to verify its authenticity by the department of Weights and Measures. Slomin’s has been around taking care of homeowners for over ninety years. Our main goal is to try retaining our customers and creating long lasting relationships, not intentionally creating situations that would push customers away. Slomin’s certainly believes [redacted] know his home’s oil use very well, however this winter has been one of coldest and severe winters that we have had in many years. In our investigation we have found that most of our customers have used much more oil than in previous years. Especially during the months of December, January and February due to the extremely low temperatures we endured.

Slomin’s received a copy of [redacted] delivery ticket from Yankee Oil dated 2/**/2014 for review. All deliveries that Slomin’s made to [redacted]’s home were performed by the same oil driver [redacted]. He has confirmed visiting [redacted]’s residence for all three deliveries made on 2/**/2014, 2/**/2014 and 3/**/2014. Due to the fact that Slomin’s has no history of [redacted]’s approximate oil use during the heating season to correlate with our oil drivers account of events, Slomin’s has agreed to credit the entire cost for the 76.7 gallon delivery made on 2/**/2014 in the amount of $275.08. Slomin’s has also agreed to credit the $499 early termination fee to settle [redacted]’s complaint.

If you should have any further questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.

We have three cars without four wheel drive and two trucks and we dont have a problem. A [redacted] by the name of [redacted] even promised us a delivery and nothing. We resorted to putting oil in our tank and sending the small children to stay with other family members because we were scared of running out of oil. Even told the company how low we were and still nothing. Now when we say were breaking the contract the company doesnt understand whyDesired Settlement: Delivery of Order

Sincerely,

slomins tried to scam me into getting an above ground oil tank for the one year length of my contract. They insisted that my burner was shutting on and off was do to the fact of a clogged line and would not listen to my complaint. This went on for one year and no hot water. I signed up with meenan and when they came to do the yearly tune up low and behold it was the aquastat that needed replacing not my tank, problem fixed and the scammers who are telling long islands to get new tank didn't get this guy. Scre you slomins rot in hell.

Review: My daughter spoke with a Slomin's Shield [redacted] on 7/*/2014 in reference to a bill at my previous residence. In this conversation, a cancellation was made and a settlement amount of $71 was agreed upon. My daughter made the payment and we assumed, as per the agreement, that the account was settled. The representative said there would be nothing we had to do after that call. In turn, we received another call about the amount and reiterated to the caller the details of the prior call. After reviewing the account, the 2nd representative said he saw the notes and everything was okay. Since then we have received several bills, which the initial representative said would come, but to ignore. In this current notice received, Slomin's Shield Collection Department states that there is an outstanding bill of $72.89 and because all efforts to collect this balance due have failed that the account is now being referred to their attorney to collect the amount owed. There should be no unpaid balance as the account was settled in July 2014 including being cancelled. Upon speaking with a representative this evening (10/*/14) at approximately 7:40pm, the representative advised me to call back on Monday before 5pm and speak with someone. Because speaking with random representatives apparently does not successfully, effectively, efficiently, and accurately provide the best possible, professional assistance, we will demand that action be taken this way.Desired Settlement: In addition to the billing adjustment and correction of balance in my name to reflect $0.00, I would like my credit repaired should this error of Slomin's Shield be reported to all (3) major credit bureaus. In addition, I would like the collection [redacted] to be disciplined for these errors causing undue stress on my family and I. Someone at Slomin's Shield should be held accountable for this huge error that could affect my credit currently and going forward.

As of 6/**/2014, [redacted]’s account was cancelled as requested. At the time of cancellation, Slomin’s retention specialist made an offer to settle [redacted] fourteen month monitoring obligation for just the past due balance on her account of $71.58. Upon receipt of the settlement payment on 7/**/2014, Slomin’s credited the charges for early termination of her monitoring agreement. (See ledger attached)

Slomin’s houses its own credit department that tries to make arrangements with our customer before sending any account to an attorney for further collection action. With regards to [redacted] conversation with Slomin’s representative [redacted] on 10/**/2014, she was advised to contact Slomin’s credit department on 10/**/2014 during normal business hours in an attempt to try and settle her issue. [redacted] did not call back as instructed. Upon receipt of [redacted]’s complaint Slomin’s reviewed her account and the error was found. The remaining balance of $73.34 has since been credited.

Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in matters that come to your attention. Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused [redacted]. It appears to have been a technical issue that caused this error. All notices were generated automatically by our computer system and [redacted]’s account was not sent to an attorney for $73.34. There has been no negative information reported to any credit bureaus.

Review: We have had an ongoing situation with Slomin's, Inc and their quality of service and speed of service. Between September of 2013 and April of 2014, we have lost our heat and hot water at least 9 times. We lost hot water once in September which we were serviced for. We then lost heat and hot water 3 times between 12/**/2013 and 12/**/2013. We had to wait an excessive amount of time for service. One of the times I called for service at 3pm and no one came to my house until 4am when we were told that the tech would be there by 11pm. When the tech did come, he talked on his phone loudly and it was clearly a social call. We had three different technicians in December, each of which came up with no diagnosis or real treatment for the problem.

In January, we lost heat and hot water three times. Again we had 2 different techs. One of whom told us we needed a new oil tank. We began to price out our options, when we lost heat the third time. After losing heat 5 times in 6 weeks we were finally sent a [redacted] who told us we didn't need a new tank, we had a minor leak in a line which he fixed.

Fast forward to April [redacted]. We lost heat and hot water AGAIN! We were sent a tech who assured us the problem was fixed. On April **, we lost heat and hot water again and now on April [redacted], we lost it for a third time. Each time we are serviced, we are required to stay up while the tech works. I have work in the morning and am tired of losing sleep. I am truly sick of this company. They have not been able to come up with an adequate solution to our heat problem.

The customer service has been nothing short of rude as well. In December (the time we waited 13 hours for service in subzero weather), I called at 1am to ask when the tech may get there. The man told me he had no clue and I just had to wait. When I asked to speak to a [redacted], I was told there was none.

There is no reason why a paying customer should have so many problems in a 4 month time span. I am paying for a service contract, but am receiving no solution.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my service contracts over the last year since there has really been no true service. Slomin's continues to just put band aids on the problem. We have lost sleep waiting for techs, suffered through some freezing cold nights and too much aggravation to quantify. I have had way to many strange men in and out of my house and it makes me feel quite uncomfortabl.

Slomin’s agrees that we have had to visit the [redacted] home many times and we do apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused them. Slomin’s also shares [redacted]’s concern for the need of these repeat services. Our intention on every service we perform is to resolve the issue and/or diagnose the problem based our technician’s professional opinion.

This heating season we’ve experienced extremely low freezing temperatures that we have not endured for many years. The main cause of the problems [redacted]’s had with her heating system was due to her oil lines. [redacted]’s home and many homes on Long Island have oil lines that are not insulated. Although meant to withstand very cold temperatures, the below freezing temperatures over long periods like we experienced this winter can cause the oil lines to clog. Another factor is the oil that is now being produced and mandated to be used industry wide is low sulfur fuel oil which can cause the oil to gel in the extreme cold over an extended period. To assist in preventing this, Slomin’s put a super heat additive in [redacted] oil tank.

Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention and we are open to your suggestion in this matter. However, Slomin’s does not believe it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office’s intervention. Slomin’s would never intentionally create situations where we have to go to a customer’s home repeatedly for service this is in no way beneficial for either party. As a courtesy to settle [redacted]’s complaint, we have issued a credit to the Casale’s account for $161.85 which is the cost for their Econo Pak Service Plan. Slomin’s has sent some of our top technicians to [redacted]’s home and they were given recommendations that we feel may be a more long term remedy to their ongoing problem. Unfortunately these repairs include replacement and/or installation of items that are not included in their service plan. If [redacted] would like, Slomin’s can send a field [redacted] to her home to thoroughly inspect her heating system and discuss all possible options upon completion of his assessment. She can contact our office at her earliest convenience to arrange for this visit.

Review: on march ** a slomins salesman came to my door he offered me a maintenance contract for 150 dollars for the year securing me a price for oil at $ 2.29 a gallon ,I was never told that they would deliver oil immediately and fill my tank ,I don't need to order oil in the beginning of spring,on april * they delivered 240 gallons of oil leaving me with a bill of 553.37 I wasn't expecting this bill and im struggling to pay my mortgage, the salesman was very misleading at no time was I informed that this was an automatic delivery,he had me sign a contract on a tablet then he went to his van and gave me some papers with a bunch of small print and left in a hurry ,I do need the maintenance and I do need the low priced oil,but I don't need it in the spring,I didn't order any delivery cause I didn't need oil especially 240 gallons,I called their office immediately and spoke to [redacted] she stated that I can pay in 2 payments ,I told her I needed 3,she refused to, I haven't even paid for the contract yet,I told the salesman I only use 100 gallons a month in the winter that's about 700 gallons a season,240 gallons is for1/3 of the seasonDesired Settlement: I want to pay the $553 bill in three payments cause I wasn't expecting it and the salesman misled me and I don't want automatic deliveries ever unless I call ,I ,would even like to nullify the contract ,pay the bill in full immediately and never do buissiness with them ever again

April **, 2015 The Revdex.com[redacted] Complaint ID: [redacted] Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted] signed with on 3/**/2015 to receive our guaranteed fixed heating oil price of $2.299 for one year as well as Slomin’s Econo Pak Service Plan for $139.00. As mentioned in the guaranteed fixed heating oil price agreement, “all of customer’s heating oil requirements must be purchased from Slomin’s and is supplied under Slomin’s automatic delivery system”. This statement is also indicated under the Delivery requirement/Automatic renewal section of the Econo Pak Service Plan. Any new client who does not agree with the terms and conditions after reviewing the agreement in its entirety can cancel within three business days without penalty. Slomin’s holds the first delivery from being made during this period as well. (See attached guaranteed fixed heating oil pricing agreement, Econo Pak Service Plan and notice of cancellation) Slomin’s automatic delivery system weighs many factors. Factors include the customer’s prior usage, weather forecast, and the number of delivery vehicles available. Because [redacted] just began his relationship with Slomin’s in March, we must pay extra attention to new accounts as we do not have a complete delivery history to maintain a more accurate delivery schedule. On each delivery our intent is to fill the oil tank when we estimate the customer is at approximately half. Our customers do have the option of requesting Slomin’s minimum gallons on delivery which is 150 gallons. During the heating season however, requesting just the minimum gallons and not allowing tank to be filled on delivery can possibly cause deliveries to be made more frequent. Slomin’s does not provide will call for oil deliveries. As a full service provider, it is Slomin’s responsibility to ensure that our customers do not run dry and that the heating oil is delivered in the most efficient manner possible. If a customer allows themselves to run out of oil any service rendered relating to running dry is chargeable. [redacted] first oil delivery was made on 4/**/2015 for 240.7 gallons which would indicate that his oil tank was close to being empty. [redacted] next scheduled delivery is expected to be around 7/**/2015. If he would like to delay his next delivery Slomin’s can hold [redacted]’s next oil delivery to be made after 9/**/2015 due to the summer season. If [redacted] does not want his tank filled on each delivery we can add instruction to deliver minimum 150 gallons only on each delivery as previously mentioned. Slomin’s also offers a budget plan that begins in June. To make paying for oil a little easier for the winter, with the budget plan our customer pay a set amount each month regardless of how much oil is delivered. Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention and we are open to your suggestion in this matter, but we do not believe that Slomin’s has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant intervention. We ask that [redacted] contact our customer service center at his earliest convenience if he would like to discuss the option mentioned above. Unfortunately should [redacted] decide to discontinue his services with Slomin’s at this time, he will be subject to an early termination fee of $499.00 as indicated on his oil pricing agreement. If you should have any question, please contact me at ###-###-####. Sincerely, [redacted]Slomin’s Inc.

Review: I had an oil delivery contract with slomins for a delivery of approx 600 gallons of fuel oil over a 12 month period locked in at an approx $3.29 per gall price. Toward the end of the contract I had 2 deliveries left but this would put me over the approx 600 gallons. I called slomins on numerous occasions to advise to hold the last deliveries until I advise them to deliver so that I will not run over my 600 gallons. They advised that they will make note in the system and put on "will call" for next 2 deliveries. Slomins proceeded to deliver the next 2 deliveries without the "will call". This put me past my 600 gallons and left me with a near $900 balance. When confronted about the situation they respond by saying there are no notes in the system stating to hold the deliveries. They are now threatening collections and are not willing to work the issue out.Desired Settlement: slomins should have made note to not deliver the last 2 deliveries until notified and we could have scheduled for the exact gallons to be delivered for the last 2 drops to equal the 600 gallons and not exceed hence leaving me with a $900 balance. I should only be responsible for the last 2 monthly payments on the contract and Slomins should cover my balance of $789.42 which is what I have paid it down to date. There are MULTIPLE complaints to the same nature about Slomins. Why are they still able to manipulate customers??

[redacted] Complaint ID: [redacted] Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted] signed with Slomin’s on 5/**/2013 for a guaranteed fixed heating oil price of $3.299 and Slomin’s Econo Pak Service Plan for $129.00. The term of the guaranteed fixed heating pricing agreement was for one year or up to approximately six hundred delivered gallons, whichever occurred first. The agreement also informs our customers that upon expiration, Slomin’s will continue to make automatic deliveries to customer’s premises at Slomin’s retail heating oil price in effect on the date of delivery. [redacted] fulfilled his six hundred gallon requirement after Slomin’s delivered on 2/**/2014. [redacted] did not lock in a new price nor cancel his account at that time. Because [redacted] did not lock into a new fixed rate, as a customer courtesy, Slomin’s applied a $0.20 variable discount to [redacted]’s account. Automatic oil deliveries was a condition under [redacted]’s Econo Pak Service Plan as well which remained in effect until 5/**/2014. Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention, and we are open to your suggestion in this matter. Due to the extended delinquent status, [redacted]’s account is currently being handled by Slomin’s collections department. Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

On multiple occasions I contacted Slomins and advised not to deliver the last 2 drops until I notify them.. this correspondence was via telephone. The reps told me they would put the acct on "will call" so that I would not be over my 600 gallons.. they advised that a note will be put in the system. The reason I am disputing is because the rep advised they are capable of doing this. If they told me NO we cannot do this then there would not be a problem. I am unclear where in the contract it states that once the oil reaches the 600 gallons that they MUST keep delivering. Slomins should have contacted me and stated that we are over the 600 gallon mark and I would have stopped delivery to avoid extra charges. Thats sounds logical but obviously wss not done or once again I would not ha ve this complaint. There are also numerous complaints about this same issue on the public forum so I know this is not the fisrt complaint. Respectfully,[redacted]

Review: We had a monthly service agreement for a security monitoring system on a previous home with Slomins for a 5 year period. We sold the home in December of 2013 after paying on the security contract on a monthly basis for two years. The new owners took over our contract for the remaining time period required to fulfill the 5 year contract. The new owners agreed to a three year term which was the remaining period we had left on our contract. Slomins told me that all we had to do was have the new owners sign the contract and mail to them and we would be released from the contract. The new owners signed the transfer and we signed the transfer and returned it to Slomins. However a month later we received a bill for $145.93 for a cancelled contract penalty. However, we did not cancel the contract we simply did as we were instructed to do by Slomins which stated we could transfer the contract to the new owners.Desired Settlement: We would like our penalty fee for $145.93, the cancelled fee, to be waived and disregarded since we did not cancel the contract but transferred the remaining time on our contract to the new owners as instructed by Slomins.

Review: On January *, 2014 my boiler ceased to work and the pipes froze in my house. I called Slomin's and they sent someone to my house to work on the problem which after 4 hours of repair, he had finally got the boiler back on. However, there was a distinct fuel oder which my wife was concerned about and the technician said the odor should go away by itself. It is now February [redacted] and the oder has not disappeared, but we noticed was that everything in the house was slowly developing a black soot on it. We called Slomin's again on February ** at approximately 10:00am and again we were told someone would come to the house. No time could be given, but we were told we would receive a text. at 3:57pm I finally received a text stating that technician was on his way to the house. 90 minutes later when still no-one arrived I called Slomin's and was told that the technician found another problem before he left, fixed it and was on his way. Another 30 minutes later I called Slomin's again to find out where the technician was and was now told that the technician was at a house fixing a problem and that the text I initially received was an error. So I have wasted an entire Sunday because Slomin's never gives an estimated time, only texts which seem to be sent out in error. My kids will be home soon and there will be no heat or hot water on a Sunday night before school.. I have asked to speak to [redacted] there and no-one is available.Desired Settlement: I think Slomin's needs to start treating their customers like human beings and not animals. It is pathetic that customers have to sit around an entire day and wait for text messages that the company sends out in error. This is the most horrible customer service I have ever dealt with in my life and they need to start changing it.

Desired Settlement: Complimentary Service

Response:

Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the

complaint of consumer [redacted].

Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience we may have

caused [redacted] and his family. As a

full service heating company, we try to be as accommodating as we possibly can

within reason. All of our customers are

important to us. However we still have

to render our services making health emergencies (I.E. no heat; severe water

leaks or severe oil leaks) the priority especially during the winter months.

This winter has been and continues to be a very brutal

one. Our technicians and customer service

representatives have been working around the clock to be available for our customers. Unfortunately the extreme weather conditions

and record low temperatures we’ve endured, particularly as it affects home

heating oil and service providers, has strained many situations. Slomin’s always takes opportunities towards

improving our day to day operations. Still

there are many variables that are completely beyond anyone’s control that can occur

throughout the day.

Slomin’s is a family owned and operated company that has

been in the business of taking care of homeowners since 1923. We take our responsibilities to our customers

very seriously and endeavor to achieve superior customer relations. Again Slomin’s does apologize for any

inconvenience that we may have caused [redacted] for the later than expected arrival

for service to his home on 2/**/2014 nevertheless, we were able to render the

necessary service to remedy the issue reported.

Review: On June * 2014 a serviceman from Slomins oil Co came to my home for annual service. During inspection it was determined that the tank had a old leak and that it was time to get a new tank. The valve on the tank was not leaking. About an hour after the serviceman left I had a strong oil oder and I checked and the oil valve was leaking. Another service man came and replaced the valve on the oil tank. The charge for the valve is $150.00. I spoke to several people at Slomins and they feel I should pay. I spoke to a man [redacted] and he claims that I have no tank insurance. Why should I have to pay for a valve that was not leaking before the serviceman opened it . There was no handle on the vale so he had to use some kind of tool on it and that is how it was damaged.Desired Settlement: Refund

Sincerely,

Review: salesman offered me oil @ 2.99 per gallon , I explained I have several tanks. He said no problem, so I get delivery, they charged 2.99 for first tank , and 3.69 for second tank. both got 100 gallons each. I called they said I need 2nd contract and they would fix it. here's the catch, they say I have to buy 600 gallons per tank??. That is not what salesman promised, they said they don't care what salesman said , and to read the contract and if I don't sign I will be fined $499.00 plus there attorneys fees. Salesman promised me I would love the company and that they would treat me right. ??? Revdex.com and consumer affairs will be contacted now , and I have appointment with a lawyer. I didn't ask for this, salesman came door to door offering a deal, I told him I was doing cash deliveries with other companies for over ten years and why should I sign up for slomins , he said he would lock in price for 2.99 per gallon all year , I said, only if I can control when and how much oil. He agreed to my terms and typed notes into his "electronic clip board" , we talked some more and had a deal so I signed. Now they demand that I sign a second contract. I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY. they are horrible liarsDesired Settlement: I want all affiliation with them terminated, I will pay for oil they delivered at agreed price of 2.99 per gallon and an annulment . I feel as though I'm going through a divorce. I don't need this kind of stress in my life with my health issues. I feel so beyond violated. I contacted an attorney about this too.

[redacted] Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted]. Slomin’s is a family owned and operated company that has been in the business of taking care of homeowners since 1923. Slomin's takes its responsibilities to its customers very seriously and endeavors to achieve superior customer relations. Please see attached certified letter sent to our office by [redacted] dated 11/**/2014. Prior to Slomin’s making the delivery to [redacted] second oil tank, Slomin’s offered to cancel and relieve [redacted] of his oil obligation due to the misunderstanding concerning the two oil tanks at the premise. Originally it was reported by our consultant that the oil tank was a twinned 275 tank not two separate 275 gallon oil tanks. [redacted] turned down our offer to cancel and agreed to sign an agreement for the second oil tank to receive deliveries under the same terms and conditions. As requested by [redacted] in his letter, Slomin’s has cancelled his second tank account. To settle [redacted] issue Slomin’s has adjusted the 100 gallon delivery to the second oil tank to $2.999, now making the balance due to $307.40. [redacted] original agreement will remain in effect until 10/**/2015 or until approximately 600 delivered gallons, whichever comes first. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[I want no further business with slomins. They are deceitful, and use bullying tactics to try to circumvent the agreement salesman gave. I will agree to pay for oil delivered as per 2.99 per gallon only. No matter what tank on my property oil was added to. I want contract terminated to never have anything to do with them in future. I had a price of 2.99 per gallon, I will pay at that price for oil delivered. I don't want any more oil. I want a cease and desist order, and no further fees, and will pay only for oil delivered at 2.99 per gallon thus far. no future business or oil or fees or contact with said company. thank you [redacted] ]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I want to resolve this issue. I agreed to 1 account at 2.99 per gallon. I am still being billed for 2 separate accounts. I will not accept this company trying to extort money from my family via 2 separate accounts. 274.8 gallons was delivered. I am being billed 2 accounts. I will never agree to a second account number. Lets make a deal they advertised on radio. Some deal this has been. I signed up for one contract as stated before, minimum 400 gallons as per contract. If they have to deliver 125.2 more gallons fine, whatever, only if I'm home. I have no trust left for this company. NONE. I didn't need a company for 20 years I did C.O.D. oil delivery companies and never ever had an issue with various companies. If I have to go to small claims court then that's what I will have to do.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: I had a service contract with Slomin's which ended on January **, 2014. My contract provided fuel oil at $3.54.9 a gallon. I did not intend to renew my contract because I do not like the way they just deliver without notifying me ahead of time. Without my consent they made a delivery on January **, 2014 and charged me $3.84.9 per gallon. I called them and told them I had not intended to renew my contract and asked why they delivered without my consent. They said I hadn't contacted them and they just arbitrarily made the delivery. They offered to renew the contract but I told them I didn't want to.

I told them I would pay for the delivery at my contracted price rate which I did on February **, 2014. They are still billing me for the difference of $27.83 and are adding finance charges of .17 a month for a current total of $28.17. I am refusing to pay this balance and feel that their business practices are not exactly deceptive but are bullying. I will not pay this balance and don't want it to affect my credit.Desired Settlement: I think they should remove this balance and be glad I paid for the delivery I didn't request. I could have demanded that they remove the oil but I paid what I had been paying under the contract and that should be sufficient.

Review: We went the full term of the contract signed last year. Now they sent us a bill for $151.96 to renew the contract. I did not authorize them to renew my contract. I called to have them cancel this new contract, and now I am getting the run around. We will not do business with them ever again. They call us to deliver oil as if we owed them money.Desired Settlement: I want them to cancel the contract and lose my number.

Sincerely,

I have a service contract with Slomins and have been a customer for a few very unhappy years. The customer service is absolutely horrible, one persons nastier then the next. When needing my burner serviced I deal with waiting over 10hours for anyone to show up in the dead of winter with no heat and now with a leaking boiler of which they do not consider an emergency and therefore isn't a priority for today or tomorrow... Then when the serviceman arrives I have to deal with his verbal banter and abuse insinuating I'm ignorant for bothering him. From start to finish this company is an entire nightmare to deal with and I cringe when I have to... While I wait my entire life away freezing.
