Pursuant to your membership agreement with Hour Fitness, your membership is eligible for an annual renewal increase after the first 12- month renewal term immediately following the initial prepaid termPlease note that this increase was not a decision which we took lightlyHowever, it was an important and necessary step to ensure we provide all of our members with a clean, friendly, well-maintained club experience.
We are unable to comply with your request to reduce your annual renewalHowever, we do believe that even with the increase, you are still getting a great value at a highly competitive rate.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I spoke with *** from Hour Fitness last week (on Febor Feb3) and explained to her that, when we signed the contract, we were told that our annual renewal fees would not increase Further, I pointed her to the resolutions posted on the Revdex.com website where the company had been reducing the increased fees for other members who were also told, when they signed the contract, that their annual fees would never increase She was going to research how similar complaints have been resolved and get back to me I still have not heard from her nor have I received any offer of resolution to my complaint.Regards,*** ***

As previously mentioned, any prior membership you may have had is no longer valid as the most recent agreement purchased supersedes any prior agreement. Our records indicate that this agreement #*** cancelled due to non-payment of your annual duesAs a customer service, Hour Fitness allowed you to rejoin at your previous annual dues rate as a one time customer service gestureAs such, agreement # *** was purchased by you on 8/19/and you accepted the terms of this new agreement. Per your new membership agreement , your membership is eligible for an annual dues increase after the initial prepaid term.

The Hour representative who called me today informed me that their records indicate that in my account was closed for non-payment Further, they've indicated, after days I called to reinstate my account paying $up front, then $per month thereafter It is my position that my account was never late or closed I had direct deduction from my checking account every month for many yearsNever did I change my account or have insufficient funds to cover the $monthly fee The statement given by Hour fitness is completely false May it be noted, when I originally called to question why I was given a rate increase despite a contract stating that my $rate would never change, I was given a completely different response At that time I was told that when I changed from a monthly payment to an annual payment that this was considered a new contract Please be advised that the reason I changed from monthly to annual was at Hour request They called me and told me that I would be given months free if I made this payment change They assure me that there would be no other changes if I agreed to this change I have heard from many Hour Fitness members that they too have suddenly had billing increases despite contracts which indicate a non-changing monthly rate The website Yelp has hundreds of entries from members complaining of the same thing Hour Fitness is committing fraud and should not be allowed to get away with it They surly do not deserve an "A" rating from the Revdex.com
