On April 15, 2016 I signed a contract for a procedure and made a deposit of $1,000. I had numerous health issues after that (2 knee replacements, eye problems) and decided I would not be a good candidate for more surgery. I have been trying off and on since that time to get a refund of my $1,000 but they refuse stating that I signed a contract. They offered other procedures I could have, but most or all were over $1,000 for appropriate results.

I have been told that it is illegal for any company to withhold a deposit for services never rendered. I hope you can help me resolve this issue and have my $1,000 deposit refunded. After reading reviews, I see that I am not the only one they have treated this way. You would think that not returning someone's deposit when services were not rendered would not be worth ruining their reputation.

Thank you for sharing the concern. After review of the file Ms. signed up to have a procedure done in 2016 securing her surgical spot with a non-refundable deposit. She has rescheduled numerous times until 2018 due to various reasons. In order to protective the continuity of our physician schedules and prevent missed surgical spots, we must enforce our non-refundable deposit. As a customer service gesture we are allowing Ms. to have a credit on her account and have been in contact with her on options for other services she may receive.

I am rejecting this response because: I don't think it is reasonable or ethical for Sonobello to keep my $1,000 deposit with no services rendered. They offered me a totally different procedure that I'm not interested in and is very costly. Sonobello is very clear that they will not refund my deposit. BUYERS BEWARE! I cancelled the procedure earlier because of health issues and have decided for health reasons not to undergo any elective surgeries now or in the future. Unfortunately, we can't always predict our future in regards to our health when signing on the dotted line.

I went for a free consultation to explore liposuction in my abdomen area. After the consultation, I decided to move forward with the surgery. I put a $500 deposit and agreed to apply for care credit, but later found that my info was used to apply for multiple lines of credit by the consultant. Also, I was told until I already paid in full for the procedure, that I would need massages that I ended up paying an extra $1000 for. I had my procedure and followed through with the recovery plan. My surgery cost $5,480. Almost a year later, my stomach looks similar to how it looked before I had the surgery. I was cheated out of my 6 month post-op visit; I was told that the doctor who did my procedure was no longer working there. I was supposed to be called with a new appointment with another doctor. This never happened. Sonobello staff were aware that I was dissatisfied with the results; I was told that I was still in the healing process and that I would have the opportunity to discuss my dissatisfaction with the doctor during my 6 month follow up that never happened. Sonobello is guilty of false advertisement because they failed to provide all details regarding aftercare and the customer service became poor after they got my money. I feel like I wasted over $6000 and still have fat around my belly.

I was seen 8-13-2019 for a consultation. I had wanted my stomach area but it hadn’t been long enough since I’d recently had a hysterectomy. I wanted my arms and chin area too so went ahead and decided to have that done while waiting for approval on my stomach area. Elizabeth was the consultant I seen and she informed me they were having a special, buy three areas and get one free. I told her I wanted my stomach but since I had to wait, didn’t see the point in another area. She told me if I added another area, than when it came time for my stomach, she would give me my free area then. My husband was with me and we both double checked with her to make sure she knew it would be awhile before that area was cleared to have surgery on. She promised to take care of me when that time came so I added my inner thighs. I paid 7,999.00 that day and had the surgery the very next day. I went to all my appointments and my stomach area was cleared in January. I called but they seen I had an appointment February 25 and could address it then. I again meet with Elizabeth that day and we sat down to get my stomach areas. The quote she gave me was over 10,000 dollars. I reminded her about her owing me a free area but she said well we aren’t running that special right now. I again explained she said she’s owe me a free area from previous surgery. She denied it and wouldn’t apply a free area to this surgery. I declined the stomach surgery since she lied and wouldn’t give me my free one from Aug 2019. My husband wants me to get a lawyer on her. He was witness to what she promised me and it’s unprofessional not to provide a survives I previously paid for. Either provide me with the free one or give me a partial refund. My chin area also didn’t do what they kept telling me. I had issues from the beginning and they kept telling to give it time. Over 6 months later, it never tightened up and is saggy skin. I asked to redo and they said it wouldn’t help.

We have spoken to the patient and while there is no written agreement found to honor a promotional pricing indefinitely, we are working with her to find a financial option that meets her budget in order for her to move forward with an additional treatment on her abdomen.

I went for an initial consultation with this company to see what services they had to offer and how their program worked. I was told that their program helped participants lose weight and reshape their bodies. After listening to their spiel about their results and services along with the "special" they were running, I went ahead and signed up to have the procedure done. I paid $1800 to them on this day and had plans for the surgery days later. I was told that the surgery recovery time would be several days and I would be able to go back to work on the following Monday which was 2 days later. Well after I had the procedure done, I had to take additional time off work of several weeks because my healing did not happen in this anticipated time span. I am in the five month marker and followed the instructions of wearing their compression body shaper and was told by one of the females that took my pictures at my four month follow up appointment that I was the "smallest" that she had ever seen me. I asked what she meant and she told me that I had lost one pound. Well needless to say, I was thoroughly disappointed at the revelation of losing one whole pound in four months time and I expressed my discontent to her stating that I expected better results than one pound for $14,000. She told me that the way that their procedure works was that it gives people the "illusion" that I lost a lot of weight. I commented to her that I was looking for more than an "illusion" and was looking for some actual results. I am scheduled to go back for the last two follow up appointments and feel that it will not only be a total waste of time but uneventful as well. I did not get the results that I wanted and at this point, I feel just plain "ripped off". I have made several payments on this "special financing" offer that I was able to get in on and feel that I am stuck holding the bag and paying for something that I did not get....which was weight loss and body contouring.

I attended a consultation for cosmetic surgery on March 3, 2020, and a follow-up appointment with the business' medical doctor prior to my scheduled surgery on March 4, 2020. At that time the physician cleared me for surgery which then the appointment for surgery was made on March 11, 2020. I became ill and diagnosed with having bronchitis with a fever of 100.3. As a result, I notified the staff of Sono Bello and had to cancel my scheduled surgery. I was unable to reschedule the surgery as I notified the staff during my consultation that I was relocated to HI on March 25, 2020. When I contacted the staff to cancel my surgery I was threatened and the staff attempted to coerce me to continue to the plan of getting the surgery. One of the staff members Verenia stated: "you are not going to Hawaii fat, you are going to do this." I spoke to a medical staff member who was presented as a nurse who also threatened me stating I would have to pay anyway and just come as scheduled on the surgery date. I went to see my medical provider who diagnosed me as having a severe case of bronchitis for which I was prescribed medications. I also had other symptoms of COVID-19 and was advised to remain home.

I request to receive a refund of my $1000.00 deposit which will suffice in response to the pain and suffering of this whole ordeal and the anxiety I experienced as a result of this experience. I already sent a copy of my physician record which reflects my diagnosis.

pressured/forced me to get procedures that medical doctor advised can not be done in one session.
The consultant advised I needed to pay now to get a deal that was ending that day
The consultant harassed by texting and calling asking for payment
Once I paid in full, I went to my pre-op and medical doctor who is doing the procedure advised he does not believe he can perform all the procedures I was forced to get.

The medical doctor provided me options which are to only perform one procedure and I can always come back and do the rest.

I want to do one procedure however do not want everything else I paid for.
The consultant will not let me revise my procedure and update my cost.
The consultant advised no refunds.
The consultant was admitted to do all the procedures even though the doctor said he advises they can not be done at one session
The consultant refused to let me remove the other procedures and get money back on the procedures I do not want to do
The consultant advised to go into surgery and tell them to do all the procedures
The consultant is very adamant to just go through with it, no refunds, and is bulling me to move forward on something I, both the medical doctor performing the procedures and I have concerns.
The Consultant trapped me on setting a date where I will not get any refund

Thank you for sharing the concern. We have spoken to the patient and have made adjustments to his purchased package plan. He will be proceeding with treatment on the agreed upon areas with the doctor and a refund for areas not treated will be issued.

Brookfield Wisconsin: I had my stomach excess skin removal procedure in August 2019. I went for skin removal only. I did it because it was getting infected. I could fold my stomach up and duct tape it. I just wanted the skin gone. Once the surgery was completed, I noticed immediately that they did not take enough skin and I asked to see it, but they had discarded it. Being in a haze, they assured me it was just swelling and I didn’t know for sure. It took me 4 days before I could drive and a month and a half of recovery time.

I did go back in for consultation in October and was told it was coming along just fine. But I was not happy and at that time I told them it didn’t look like they took enough skin off. I still had the overhang that I went to get rid of in the first place. But they said I needed to give it more time.

I had been told I would receive a phone call from the establishment manager in January 2020, but that did not happen and that is why I sent my first email. I then asked him to look at the photos. (which by the way were never sent to me) This initial surgery was not done correctly but I was assured the extra skin was only due to swelling. And now I would have to go through another month and a half of recovery. I should think that I would get something extra for this. But instead I received the same pricing as before with no consideration.

The manager asked to call me. I agreed. He assured me I would receive a discount on any extra things I would get done and that he would work to get two free areas since their advertisement was for one free area to new patients.

A full week went buy with no response to the conversation that was had. I emailed the manager again and to my surprise, my email bounced back. I tried again, and it bounced back again. So, I emailed the others he had initially put on the email string before he decided to have a private conversation with me. Still no response.

I want the money back for the Skin removal!!!!! It was not done and that was the whole reason I went there in the first place!

Experience with Sonobello was very unprofessional starting with the pressure of the sales I decided to go forward with it ! The explanation of the procedure was very miss leading, They fail to tell you that the locals they give you to do the incisions are only two numb the outside then they start shopping these tubes up inside you and you’re not and I’m inside the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt I would rather give birth without an epidural than to ever go through that again, not to mention the fact that I have not heard one single word from them since my three week check up and it’s been a year today March 5, 2020 never once have they checked on me never once have they asked why I have not came back for my check ups besides my three week I expressed my feelings when I went back at my three week and they could’ve cared less nobody ever contacted me to talk to me about my experience and nobody has cared that I have not came back for check ups because I was traumatized worst experience ever not just the no care from them they only wanted to sell it do it and then they don’t care very very disappointed this procedure should never be performed unless you are put under !!! And some care and concern would have been nice for somebody to get back to me about my feelings of the procedure and the way they treated me in the room like they were annoyed with me because I was jumping around from the pain as he was stabbing me with the tubes in searching the inside no medicine that they failed to tell you that you’re not numb when they do it only on the outside to cut you can express myself enough on how this was a horrible choice for me the outcome I feel great about myself but wish I would have done it with them !and some care and concern would have been nice for somebody to get back to me about my feelings of the procedure and the way they treated me in the room like they were annoyed with me because I was jumping around from the pain as he was stabbing me with the tubes in searching the inside no medicine that they fail to tell you that you’re not numb when they do it only on the outside to cut you can express myself enough on how this was a horrible choice for me the outcome I feel great about myself but wish I would have done it with them!

I had surgery April 2019. I purchased the 3 area lipo. I had a pudgy belly and wanted lipo to sculpt my front and middle section. In the consultation room, standing in front of the mirror, the sales rep/assistant pulled the skin back to reveal what I would be looking like after the surgery. I am disfigured now, I have lopsided balloons for hips. I asked every check up why are they so lopsided, I kept getting "the fat will redistribute, keep molding it. Well I kept molding it and nothing has changed. When I questioned why do I have such huge bulges on my sides, they then claimed I did not have that procedure done. I am embarrassed and at a loss, I am paying for something that made me worse than I started with, I can not afford another to repair. I am totally disgusted with their business practices and excuses. Always an excuse for reasoning, I never went back for follow up, I got tired of the excuses. I tried emailing the doctor when I first had it done and NEVER got a response. I should have known when I first arrived at the Sono Bello office, the building sign in the driveway had SONO BELLO about 3 inches tall compared to the other occupants in the building 1-2 feet large lettering.

discuss other options for body contouring for this patient but the services she
purchased were delivered appropriately. There seems to be some confusion about the areas we treated. We'll have a member of our management team reach out to Ms. to discuss her concerns and review what services she purchased. We look forward to working with Ms. towards a resolution.

I had an initial consultation on 2-26-2020. I paid my deposit for the trisculpt procedure and was scheduled for a preop appt on 2-28 and was told that the clinic had a surgery opening on 2-29. After my preop appt with Dr S. I had concerns about the healing which I communicated numerous times to my patient care representative. She insisted that Saturday would still be best for surgery. I sent her a message after my preop appt and told her I needed to reschedule. She refused to accept this request and proceeded to pressure me into keeping my surgery date on the very next day. I also told her that I needed time to prepare as I have family obligations ( I have 4 small kids that needed to be cared for during my days of immediate recovery) that I felt would interfere in my healing the few days after the surgery. And she also said that I would have 1-2 incisions but when I was evaluated by Dr S he communicated 8 incisions would need to be made. The care advocate refused to accept my concerns and insisted that if I didnt have surgery that day. I would forgo my deposit and have to pay in full to reschedule. I didnt have the proper consideration for my situation and because this was last minute did not have time to prepare my surgery date. I did not have anyone to drive me home from the surgery date or be with me to check in. The care representative still said I needed to get the surgery that date. She could not care at all if I had my children situated so I could focus on surgery and healing. Nor did she have any concerns about me driving myself to the surgery. Totally unnecessary and ridiculous when I communicated on 2-28 a request to reschedule she would not and then tried to force my hand by threatening me with loosing my deposit. Dr S seemed to be very professional and very competent in his field. There is no reason for tricking or bullying a patient into surgery so quickly. It wasnt necessary. Therefore I request my $1000 deposit refunded.

In order to protect the continuity of our schedules and doctors time, patients sign agreeing to our cancellation policy. Prior to patients signing the financial agreement and committing to a surgery spot with a non refundable deposit, we review all post-op instructions, recovery time, and the need for a ride on surgery day. This money is non-refundable as patient committed to having a procedure within the window of cancellation and cancelled the morning of her procedure. We have been in contact with the patient informing her of our response and as a gesture allowing her to utilize the deposit for non surgical treatments we offer.

$5000.00 down the toilet! All lies, and I have a lump in my side since laser lipo on abdominal area.

I was misled from the beginning. The sales rep in Woodbridge, VA told me it was a 1-3 day recovery period and that my purchase was interest-free for a year if paid in full. I just went for my 3-month check-up and still have numbness, tenderness, and tingling AND I looked at my *** account and am paying interest every month. She said interest-free not a reduced APR during entire payment period. I paid $10K for my procedure. Yes fat is gone but now I have lumps and bumps. I, too, was told 6 months for total healing AFTER the procedure.

This is the second time I am trying to complete this form~! I was treated by Sono Bello on 6/5/19 for a fat removal gentle coo sculpting procedure. Well it was nothing like that. I felt butchered. They say it's gentle, but it was not....they put me on *** and I couldn't move, the surgeon was listening loud to 80's rock music while he was stabbing me with tubes to remove fat. I lay their freezing soaking wet and unable to move. Slept 15 hours after the procedure....... two months later I find out I have an umbilical hernia, I complained to them several times and no I didn't document the exact dates, but through October the last time I went their 2019. I still have tingling on my stomach and back that feels like nerve damage and have not lost any weight and look deformed. I did this procedure to make me feel better about myself in my 50's and it has made me cry ever so much for how much I spent and how I physically feel. I don't want anyone else to go through this horrible experience, for I feel I am living in my own personal nightmare. I have communicated with the surgeon and superiors and they said it wasn't their fault and if I wanted to come back in for free to fix anything. The last thing I would want to do in the entire world would be to come back and see them. I have suffered enough and still am. I can't hold back the tears on how I regret doing this horrific experience and would never recommend them to anyone. All I wanted to do was something for myself. I don't know what else to say but I want my money back for no results and the worst experience of my life. Warm regards

I had my upper and lower abdomen done and my love handles done in September and no results. I paid over $10,000 dollars and I still weigh what I did when I went to have the procedure. All I have to show for it is a scar from hip to hip and a bill I don’t feel I should have to pay. Their ads are mis leading and I feel I was ripped off. I am looking to get a lawyer because this is so wrong to take people’s money and get absolutely no results. There is no way I would recommend anyone to do this. How can they look people in the eye and lie to them. Reading the reviews I see am not the only disappointed person. I want my money back and seeking legal assistance. I really wanted this to work but instead just got ripped off

When I first met with the administration office at Sono Bello, I explained that I was only interested in a specific procedure called Smart Liposuction - this procedure uses laser technology and is much less invasive and I only decided to have this surgery after researching this procedure. I made it very clear that if they did not have this procedure, I would not go ahead.
She said that that was the procedure they used and it should be no problem. They scheduled the surgery and asked for full payment up front which I did, but I asked to have a meeting with the doctor to verify that he does this specific procedure.
They scheduled this meeting a few days before the appointment saying there was no earlier date available. When I met with him - his name Dr G - I asked about the Smart Liposuction procedure and he was surprised and said they did not perform that procedure. He explained that he cannot do it as it requires specialized equipment which they do not have in their office. He said he could recommend doctor who can do it as he has the equipment in his personal office. He said he will talk to the administration office and explain it was a miscommunication and to cancel the appointment and provide a full refund. So I expected a full refund since he clearly confirmed they do not have the equipment for this particular surgery and definitely cannot perform the requested Smart Liposuction.
However, the admin person said she has to talk to her management and also tried to convince me to perform the surgery with the procedure they use. She did admit that I had asked for smart liposuction but kept saying that their procedure is just like smart liposuction using lasers. After a week, she called me back and said she spoke to her management and they refused to give me the refund. I tried to get her to connect me with them to talk to them but she refused to do that. I did not have the surgery, they lied to me and gave me incorrect information, and they owe a refund.

I went into the *** location on 2/21/20 for a free consolation. I ment with Kayla who came off very nice but I felt very pressured to sign right than there. She could tellninwas 2nd guessing it as I asked if I could go home and call her later. In which I did at 3 I called her back and told her I would continue to book but I was still hesitant. After doing more research and reading reviews my husband became very concerned for my safety as I've had numerous pregnancies and my most recent one being very rough. After a thoughtful talk I decided not to go through with it. I emailed Kayla letting her know the situation and asking for a refund.

I attended a free consultation on the morning of January 28th 2020. After hearing the presentation I chose to pay the $500 deposit for the procedure. After speaking with my personal doctor, and my husband after I got home that evening, I decided against having the procedure completed. I immediately emailed and phoned the representative and stated that I was no longer intrested and was requesting a full refund. The procedure date was not scheduled to occur until February the 21st . The pre-op consultation with the doctor set for February 6. I cancelled and requested a refund the same day as my initial consultation by voice mail and in writing to Christina B, plus spoke with her colleague who stated she would give her the message. I made follow up calls and emails and received an email back saying my money would be refunded. I never signed a contract as I never got past the initial quote. Sono Bello processed my payment that same day and almost 30 days later I have not been refunded. This makes no sense to me and I should have read the reviews about issues that people had with getting refunded before paying. Since there was no contract signed, no meeting with the doctor, and well within the 14 days of the surgery, I expect a full refund of my 500.00, immediately, like they immediately processed my payment. This lag is unacceptable.

Disfiguring at the cost of $7000.00. Their satisfaction guarantee was to allow the same surgeon who did a horrible job "fix" it. I have had four children, NEVER has my abdomen looked this disgusting. There are scars on my inner thighs where the suctioning tool was inserted. I can't even wear shorts now. The surgeons said that was normal. NO, it isnt. They are puncture marks. I am so hurt. I feel that ethically they know better. This has had a significant negative impact on my life., to add insult to injury, I am paying thousands of dollars for my mistake.

I was wondering if anyone was ever going to contact me?

I was told I could finance the medical procedure but 2 weeks later received a letter from a financial institution stating that after looking over my credit score they could not approve the loan for the medical procedure. I informed Sono Bello about the letter and they told me they don't use this particular institution, which is not true. I cannot afford the procedure without financing and would like a full refund of my $2,000 deposit. I am being told that the down payment is not refundable, however I should never have been asked to put down money since their financial institution didn't actually approve me! This is a "bait and switch" company and I would never use them for any type of medical procedure! They also never return phone calls! I left a message for the manager days ago with not response. Sono Bello is an extremely shady company!
