After spending all morning going back and forth with Sprint I am absolutely disgusted with them. I called in a month ago advising them that I was in the hospital for a while and had fallen behind on all bills, I was told not to worry, to take my time and call back when I can to pay half of the owed balance then we could set up a payment arrangement for the rest. When I called to do so this morning I was unceremoniously told that my account had been referred to collections and that I would need to pay the whole balance owed before getting my lines turned on. That's not what I was told by the representative I spoke with. Said representative never made any mention of collections even being a possibility and I never got any communication from them in regards to the account going to collections. I'm beyond horrified with the way they so blatantly lie and treat customers. Without a doubt the worse mistake I've ever made in phone companies.
SPRINT- PLEASE READ!!!
T EITHER!!! TO HELL WITH SPRINT!!!
My girlfriend traded in her iPhone 7 a few days ago for an iPhone XS Max. So, she leaves the old phone at your store so it can back up everything to google docs, so it can then download to the new phone. The employee there helped her do this, as she doesn’t have extra iCloud storage, nor did he mention she could get more. He had a “trick” to get around using the iCloud which involved using google docs instead. That employee was doing a favor, like a company should do for its customers. However, she would’ve paid for more iCloud storage had he told her she could do that!! HERES THE MAJOR PROBLEM- She leaves the store, and her old phone stays there to continue to transfer the files, per the employee’s instructions. THEN, your manager leaves a voicemail for my girlfriend at 10am today and told her she has 15 MINUTES to call him back or he’s erasing everything on her phone. She works nights and didn’t get the message for hours!! She was sleeping!!! She called him back and he had already erased EVERYTHING ON HER PHONE. Therefore, because of your AWESOME MANAGER, she lost FOUR THOUSAND PICTURES!!!! She had 5,000 and only 1,000 made it to the new phone before he erased everything!! Her grandma just died this year, and every picture of her was erased BY YOUR MANAGER!!! When she talked to the manager he did not apologize but instead gave her MAJOR ATTITUDE and told her it was against company policy bla bla bla and asked her if she would pay his rent if he gets fired!!!! YOUR MANAGER HAD NO RIGHT TO ERASE HER PICTURES! HE EVEN LAUGHED AS HE TOLD HER HE CRUMPLED THE NOTE THE EMPLOYEE LEFT ON HER OLD PHONE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW TO LEAVE IT ALONE!!! I WILL BE POSTING THIS ***EVERYWHERE*** AS SPRINT IS NOT HELPING AT ALL!!! WE CALLED AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DIDNT GIVE A S
The only reason I’m giving them two stars is because they have excellent customer service. Their service however is very lacking if I’m not near my wi-fi or an open wi-do I don’t get service. I live in one of the biggest cities is country and I can’t get cellular service anywhere. I don’t know what I’m paying Sprint for since I have to use wi-fi for everything
I took an old phone in for my on to use temporary and wanted the tech to take the pictures off it and transfer them to my phone. I told him I did not want any of my information changed only wanted the pictures to be added. They told me I would have to go to the tech store, which I did and was told it would take an hour. After again explaining how I did not want anything on my phone changed I handed the guy at the sprint tech store my phone. I returned to the store an hour later to find exactly what I didn’t what to happen. First of all he was not able to transfer my pictures. He said they must be in the cloud. Don’t know about anyone else but I except the tech guy to know how to do the tech stuff on the phones they sell me. Second, the last three years of my information was erased. This is especially hard for me because I HAD apps on my phone that I need to use for work and am no longer able to access. I lost three years of pictures/memories and now I have no assess to my work schedule or emails. I also had to spend hours on the phone trying to gain access to my other apps like my home security system. I know most people may have a grasp on this tech stuff but I don’t, that’s why I went to the sprint store to have the tech guy do it. So frustrating you go in and they ruin your phone and then say there is nothing they can do to undo the mess they made. So after two different spring stores and calling customer service I was told sorry. Guess I’ll be looking for a different carrier.
The worst worst worst customer service ever ....please save yourself from the pain and go elsewhere ....worst company around been with them 20 years shame on me for being so foolish....loyalty means nothing to them !!!!!
This is honest to god the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of working with.
When we initially signed up, we though it was a great deal. We set up 4 lines (we only needed two, but they gave us 2 for "free". However, after the first month, our bill ended up being $70 more than what we were quoted. Since then, it has been a fight every month to clear up unspecified charges to our account. We owed a different amount with each bill, starting at around $180. The last bill we owed to them was over $250 and this was with 2 lines removed and absolutely 0 changes to anything else.
As if this wasn't bad enough, the phone service itself is awful. I roamed more than anything and hardly ever had 4G. We just switched to AT&T and have yet to experience anything other than 4G (we even get 5G in some spots).
Trying to leave is a nightmare, they will gladly hold you up on the phone for over an hour trying to get you to upgrade so you're locked in another contract with them. It literally took them less than 2 minutes for them to do what I called them for after telling them 20 times that I did not want to upgrade.
Please avoid this company at all costs. AT&T is much cheaper and has similar coverage to Verizon.
Only use their service if you intend on staying for life. We went into the store to check cancellation fees, manager said most of our line that have been active 7+ years would be 0 assuming the phones are returned. They charged us $2000 total! Now customer service refuses to stand by their store level employees. Stay away at all costs!
we had got 4 phones and the we found out that we had to pay more just to access those apps and they refused to unlock all 4 phones . Sprint boost mobile they suck!!!!! They aslo told us we had to pay more just to unlock the phones what a joke!!!!!
I have been a customer with sprint for 5 years. I was sent overseas with the military and placed my account on hold during that time. When I came back I found out that the clerk that had helped me in the San Diego store had lied about their policy for military holds. He had told me that after 2 years of being on a military hold the account would be "zeroed out" and would no longer have a balance on the price of the phone. He confirmed this with his manager and assured my wife and I that this was true. When I returned and took my account off hold, I was told that this was not true and that I still owed on my account. The clerk who informed me of this then proceeded to help me set up my wife's new line and after the transaction told me that due to a promotion I got a pair of Airpods for free. I had not asked for them or known about the deal but he assured me that they were free and placed them in my bag. A month later I found out that he charged me for the entire price of the Airpods. I have spent 8 hours on the phone with customer service, they have been no help. They have lied to me on multiple occasions. I have been told that I would be called back and that has not happened regardless of be assured I would be contacted. 4 months later, I have still not been helped, I was told that due to not having the conversation with the in store clerk recorded, I cant have any of these errors fixed and it is my fault. I have been lied to, mistreated, and honestly ignored. This is all on top of the worst coverage and service imaginable. Do not go to this company. They mistreat customers and do not care about the military.
Boost mobile will lock your phone (unlock device you paid for...device you bring into boost) should you decide you want out for whatever reason. Boost will lock it for 12 months!!! They do not advice customers of this unethical policy. Boost will overcharge you for any given month and hold your money in a "cash balance" instead of crediting customer back.
One of the worst experiences I have ever dealt with, horrible company with even worse service. First, they advertise "cheaper" but we just switched to AT&T and it is cheaper and has way better service, the phones are over all cheaper, and they at least give us the option to have the "apple care" instead of forcing $18/mo for coverage (which is an outrageous price btw). Than the canceling process is out of this world stupid, instead of just paying, they tell you they HAVE to send you a final bill, which no one can get their story straight, talking to 4 different people both support level and store level and each person give you a totally different story. Worst cell phone company on the market, by far, I wouldn't use them again if the bill was free.
I have had Sprint since 2016. My phone was leased for 19 a month for 18 months. At the end of the 18 months I was charged the rental fee of 29 a month for the past 4 months. I would have to pay 174 to own the phone to end this rental charge. I could pay this over six months and it would be 29 a month and they'd end the rental fee. I called in before and asked to have this started awhile. It apparently never was started. I explained to them that I have already been paying the 29 a month for four months can that count towards the 174 since I did call in before. They said they'd remove half of the amount but I'd still have to pay 174 today and they'd credit me half later. I hung up and was thinking about this and getting more and more angry about it. I got on their chat line. I explained the situation again to a nice lady who told me to call the sales number that they should be able to "pay off the device from the backdate so that the amount may get adjusted against the pay off." I called in and the sales person I got said that the fair market value on the phone is 205 and that they would be able to just take 2 months of my payments off of this amount for me. I asked why its not 205 and he said because of taxes. I think this is ridiculous. I get multiple stories about what can be done. I've been paying an extra 29 a month for an old iPhone. I could have had a new one for the amount I've been paying to rent/own this phone and I'm not even anywhere closer to owning it anyway. I have had this phone since October of 2017. And they refuse to work with me on it even after someone telling me that they could.
Sprint did Not handle our situation well at all. Almost two years ago when I purchased my phone, I was told that I would have the 18 month lease where I could renew my phone every year but that if I decided not to, then it would transition into me purchasing the phone after the 18 month lease was up. I believed this to be true so I let the 18 month lease expire knowing that I would own the phone 6 months after the fact. I found out 4 months after the lease expired that it did Not transition to a payment plan to own the phone but it switched over to me "Renting" the phone for $40 or so dollars a month. I was annoyed because of what I was told up front so I asked them to refund me and I can then put that money towards actually owning the phone (and then I can turn in the phone once owned, and put that money towards a new phone). They told me they could not refund at first but after a lot of back and forth, that they would give me 2 of the 4 months and then once I got a manager, they gave me 3 months. After this ended, I was then told that my parents phones have also been rented for the past 3 months each. So, for those of you keeping track, I would be out 1 of the 4 months worth of payments on my own phone, and we would not get any of the 6 months worth of rental payments on my parents' phones. I told the manager I will be telling my parents and that we will likely consider switching plans because this was sort of ridiculous (especially because I was told something false at the beginning - let's not forget that part). He said he'd escalate this issue and they would look into my phone call with the sales representative and if I was right, then they would refund everything back to me. Turns out that after days of them "investigating", they never actually looked into the conversation and told me I was only getting 4 of the payments back (out of 10 total payments). The lying does not end here though. I was told by the sales rep that I could buy out my phone and then the first manager continued to tell me we could buy our phones out as well, but now, due to state restrictions (???), we are not even able to do this anymore and we are going to have to turn our phones back in or continue to RENT them...? who in the heck rents a phone? you lease and then get a new lease, or you purchase. if you're renting a phone, you've likely been lied to as well. it's absurd. Sprint should be sued. they're robbing customers if they LIE to them upfront and then pretend like it's our fault in the end. I get it, I signed the contract ultimately so none of it would ever come back on Sprint, but to be able to verbally lie to someone and get away with it, that is just straight wrong and needs to stop. end rant.
Horrible service, customer service, guarantees, warranties, and buying experience. Purchased a defective phone was told "not our concern contact the manufacturer. " I paid full asking price directly from the website without a discount or payment plan. 5 days of shipping time and 3 days before the device failed totaled 8 days the policy is 7. I dont understand how shipping time can constitute days against the warranty. I didnt posses the item to know if defective. Now I have spent $250.00 on a new defective device spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with sprint and 2 hours on the phone with samsung for them to point fingers at each other and nothing to happen with my device. I am forced to buy another phone for full price and throw this device in the garbage. Didnt think in our country a corporation could out rite steal your money without any consequences guess this is America being "GREAT"
Sprint changed my plan without my consent...
Sprint has billed me 35 per month for 18 months a line that does not exist...
Sprint has charged me $ 30 for insurance that I did not opt for...
Sprint has changed my purchase plan to a lease instead of the installment payment I agreed to....
Sprint has continued to lie to me almost every time I communicate with their customer service...
Next step litigation!
My phone was stolen 3 days after the account was opened.
I went in store, traded in my phone, and paid for a new one. $133 out the door.
Three days later my phone is gone and the account information is changed so I can no longer get into the account. The account holder is in prison for 20 years and cannot come up store to change the information.
In store will not help without the pin. In store they told me I was never an authorized user in the account so how did I sign a lease agreement and pay for a phone? They told me an exception could have been made so I could get a phone. But if that were the case why isn’t an exception being made now, to help?? They keep trying to get me on my own line when I’m explicitly repeating that “ I already gave you hundreds of dollars I want to report my phone stolen”
Corporate will not help either.
The info was changed after my phone was stolen so I cannot get into the account, and they won’t do anything.
It hasn’t even been a month and I have paid $133 and traded in a phone, for essentially nothing. They just want money. They only make exceptions to get you to sign a lease agreement and that’s it. They won’t help and the manager is rude. I understand that the pin code is for security.
But I’m finding out I never had access “supposedly” to sign for this phone. I’m enraged this company, sucks.
You might have made an exception so I could buy a phone but you won’t make an exception to help in this circumstance? You just want me to get another phone on another contract?
It’s awful and basically a scam. I’ve paid $133 and given them a working iPhone for nothing. They can’t help me at all, even though I have proof of purchase because I’m not the account holder. the info was changed after my phone was stolen so I do not know it and they won’t do anything. They don’t care about helping people they care about you opening a new line and signing a new contract and paying more money. Corporate and in store both suggest I just get a new account and a new phone. Because they won’t help their customers, but they make exceptions so you can give them your phone and money!? Apparently. And then they want you to give them more money for another line because they can’t help with the line you just paid for because you never had access to it but you had the access to buy the phone on it????
Disgusting, Customer service is ridiculous. I called several times to cancel a tablet on our account and it was never cancelled. I got a bill for charges and when I called to fight it they claimed I never called or in the live chat it said I called to discuss rates not cancel. I was with another company already when I apparently "called to discuss better rates". They refuse to adjust charges or review the phone call that I told them I canceled the tablet. I have had nothing but problems. Service is terrible, bill changes every month, customer service is lazy, they take FOREVER on the live chat and apparently don't cancel things when you ask. DO NOT USE SPRINT. If I could leave zero stars I would.
I wish I could give zero stars or even a half a star. This company is down right terrible. There service in a big city is intermitten at best. when you call to report a problem, they give the same answer "looks like an interuption in the cell tower nearest you." Yet they never resolve the problem. when I call to cancel my service, they put me on a 30 minute hold and the person that picks up cant do anything so they transfer to someone else who, in turn, puts you on a 30 minute hold. Once I finally get someone who can help, they play the victim and all of a sudden, I owe an outragious amount of money, even though my contract is fulfilled and I only owe $10 on my phone. do not use this company. I WISH I HADNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where do I begin, called to cancel my account after I found out that they were charging $135 for one single line on our bill. I called Sprint and they said that that line is more expensive to allow the others to be cheaper. Well, then why is every additional line on my account totaling more than $45?. I called in and canceled 6/10 of my lines. Called back in a few days later to cancel the rest, and surprise, they were never cancelled. When I went to close the account for good they then told me one of the tablets on my account was not paid off, after looking into it they wanted to charge me $220 for a tablet I returned to them!! Called in one more time and they then told me that they received the tablet two years ago and had no idea why I was being charged for it. I then called in to get my phone unlocked to change carriers after it was paid off and I was told they my phone was not eligible to be unlocked. My phone was manufactured after the new law and told them that legally they were obligated to unlock this line. Finally after 2 hours on the phone I was able to have the line unlocked. I will never do business with a company that doesn’t even care enough to ask why we were unhappy with our service and never asked us why we were switching. $500 phone bill is now gone. I will go to a company that actually appreciates our business. After 20 years with Sprint we finally got smart.
My husband and I switched to Sprint over a year ago in an attempt to save money, which we did. I had looked into leaving Sprint a couple different times, because our service ended up being horrible, and had even made phone calls to corporate customer service, where I was told (on 2 separate occasions) that I would be charged a fee for termination of I left, but I COULD turn my phones back into Sprint and not have to pay for the value of them. When we went to upgrade our phones and realized that our bill was going to go up significantly, we decided to return to Verizon (our preferred provider). We returned to Verizon and ported over our numbers, that we've had for years and did not wish to change. I immediately went to return my phones to Sprint, where I was told that I could not turn in phones that had had the numbers ported that easily, and that I would have to pay them in full (had never been told that) whether I returned them or not. I proceeded to call customer service and was again told, point blank, that I could NOT turn in phones that had the numbers ported without being charged... Being faced with $500+ in charges for phones alone (that I never had intentions on keeping) I decided to take my phones to Verizon where they bought them off me. 2 days later I received an email and text telling me I COULD and would need to send my phones back, or be charged for them. I have since talked to 2 reps who have told me I was misinformed (or more or less blamed me for my misunderstanding) and that I COULD return my phones after the number was ported to another carrier. Only I've already sold my phones to Verizon, because why on earth would I just give my phones back to Sprint when I was told I would be charged for them regardless.
Long spiel to say this.
I acted on blatant lies from Sprint, and Sprint can't seem to even own up to the fact or apologize for their lies. They have done nothing but stand in defense of their business practice, which is apparently to lie and cheat people out of their money. Sprint isn't worth the money in phone or customer service. I will never do business with them again. They seem to think all I want is slack on my final charges, and while that would be great, all I've wanted is for Sprint to take responsibility for their actions. That's free and they still can't do it.
