Horrible custumer service and a load of hidden fees stay away

I went with my roommate who just moved here from another country and wanted me to tag along to help her understand. We went to T-Mobile and they couldn’t help much for financing a phone without a social which she didn’t have yet....then we went to sprint. The rep said we were in luck since they have a special, free iPhone XR with 18 month contract for new customers only. Wow agreed that this was the best option for her so we won’t need to continue looking into other carriers. we asked the rep a million questions to which he seemed annoyed and rushed us through everything. He said the phone was free as long as we were on contract it would be, with insurance, around $70 a month and the data plan was 4gb..... then she got her bill. $115 dollars Sprint says there is no such Deal for a free phone and that she signed a contract that doesn’t have any details as such....this rep scammed her and I feel bad because I was supposed to be there to protect her but he lied to us so much. I’ve never seen such a bad business practice. She can’t afford this and they won’t let her cancel and back out at all they won’t help. Sprint is a SCAM COMPANY.

I have literally had sprint since my parents allowed me to have a cell phone. That's saying a lot because I am now 30 years old, and have been loyal to sprint for 15 years now. It is very unfortunate that they do not return the loyalty. I've come to the conclusion after 4 years of bad treatment that it is time for me to look else where for a cell phone carrier. I can't take anymore of the fake "thank yous for being a loyal sprint customer" oh and let's not forget when they say "we truly value you as a customer and we assure you that your issue will be resolved". I mean these reps will lie right through their teeth KNOWING it's a recorded line. I can't even count how many times I've had to say "if you don't believe me play the call back " I've been hung up on by customer service. By the way I am POSITIVE I was hung up on, because I always give permissions to call me back if the terrible service allows the call to drop! I am furious even thinking of the treatment I have witnessed, yet I have tried not to judge the entire company as a whole because I am so used to being treated with so much respect up until 2015. I know what changed and that's the really sad part about it. Basically my father added my cell phone in 2004 to his account that had been open since 1999. I got the best treatment and perks with sprint during the years my father and I shared an account with Sprint. Yes they had their times service was terrible, but the excellent customer made the wait for better days worth it. I could call in with any issues, and it was no hesitation to resolve. Rather it was a credit or something free or just someone taking the time to fix whatever it was right away. Would not let me off the phone until I could honestly say I was happy. Well those days where over come July 2015 when my father and I signed a "Change of Ownership request" and it was transferred to my name. At that time I was issued a new account numberand since then Sprint has not hesitated to display ALL their true colors. I mean even in the stores. I dont know how they have any business from customers period honestly! All I have to say is if you are considering Sprint for your cellphone carrier, ABORT MISSION!!!! Dont be fooled by the cheesy misleading commercials because they are not what you would expect from a company that claims to be "nationwide" I can hardly us my phone no matter where I go, and I travel alot! And dont even get me started on how they tried to ring the Bell of Deception, bringing over the guy from the old Verizon commercials!!! Well let me tell you....no I can not hear you, and nothing is GOOD!

Sprint was my service 2 years ago. I have been trying to contact them since 2016 before I left about my NOW collection account. I have been calling customer care which will only speak to me when I say I am a new customer to get someone to take the call. THIS IS MY LAST RESORT!
I would like for someone from CORPORATE to contact me in reference this to the debt collection. Until then when they call me I will be calling SPRINT until someone responses to me and takes my call. The fact that they have hung up on me when I have began to explain why I am calling is Very unprofessional for a communication company. They where wrong in not following my instruction in paying off my contract and causing my bill to be higher than needed I owned them $180 but for the stress and harassment I have had to endure because no one would return my call and send me to collection is just WRONG :(! :(! :(!

I would give 0 stars if I could
Sprint is the most useless service I have had.If I leave 2 miles out of the city I do not have service
Many times I don't receive calls setting in my house even when family is calling
It will pop up a voicemail but no call came through
When you call Customer Service you get someone who you can't understand and has no idea what your problem is
They refuse to put you through to a technician
I have been with Sprint for about 3 years and they get more and more terrible with time
They give you a total of what your monthly bill will be then when the bill pops up it will be anywhere from $40 to over $100 higher
Each time you talk to a Customer Service representative you will get a different answer to whatever question
They are terrible
The worst thing that happened to me was when I upgraded they sold me on a Galaxy A6 which is a piece of junk
They told me the Galaxy S9 which was the newest at that time would be $33 per month which was more than I was willing to pay then the next week I got an email saying I could get a Galaxy S9 for $5 per month
That's when I decided as soon as the lease was up I would be switching to Verizon
Verizon may not be any better but it certainly can't be any worse

OMG, I should have stopped by here before trying to get a phone for my mother. I agree with all the comments here. Worst telecom provider ever. They collected all kind of personal information from my mother, more than 20 personal questions, including SSN, Address, Birthday, age (sic)... and still asked her to go to the nearest store to provide copy of 3 forms of ID???? Say What??? 3 forms of ID for the order to be released, even the US airports don't ask for 3 forms of ID. Applying for a mortgage is easier.
STAY AWAY from SPRINT.

Sprint is the worst cell phone company I have been with. I keep getting dropped calls and data often does not work. I live in a metropolitan area with a population over 1 million people, one would think this should not be a problem. I have called on multiple occasions to get this issue resolved and all they tell me to do is restart my phone and rest network settings. That process clearly does not work. When I called to inquire about cancelling they said I would have to pay a 500 dollar cancellation fee and give back the phone. I agree with giving back the phone but the 500 dollars!?!?! What is that all about? I asked to speak with a manager and was put on hold for 15 minutes then told I would get a call either that night or the next morning.... That did not happen. They are scamming people, playing games, and over charging for their sub-par cell service. I am extremely upset and will never recommend Sprint to anyone.

This company lies to you and wants you to pay more money. I have seen on my bill a charge for $31.25 for a lease on a phone that I thought I had already purchased according to a 2 yr contract. Well I got a shock when I called them yesterday and was told after 18 months it went to a month by month lease. If I wanted to purchase the phone I would have to pay $188. I told the gal I was not going to pay that and I have never had this trouble with any other phone I got from the company. Well tonight I get a text from them. This girl is going to change carriers tomorrow. I would never recommend Sprint to anyone.
NOTICE-Sprint is processing your number porting request. Per your lease, return the device to Sprint or pay the full balance before selling or trading.

I wish that zero stars was an option. I was with sprint for nearly six months and NOT ONE TIME DID I HAVE SERVICE AT MY HOUSE. My brother inlaw got in a bad car accident and my sister couldn't even get a hold of me to come watch her kids so that she could go be with her husband. I have spent over 27 hours on the phone with customer service in the last few months. They promised us a "magic box" signal booster from the day that we signed on. They said that they didn't have any in store, but after we signed on that we would be able to get one in a few days in the mail. WE NEVER GOT ONE! They would even tell me that it was in the mail and that it would be there by Thursday I would call back a week later and they would magically have no record of that call. They would always give me the run around, and then transfer me to someone else. They have just randomly hung up on me and not called back many times, when they obviously had no idea of a solution to my problems that I was having. I have it in writing that I would not owe anything when I terminated my contract in December, and they still tried to charge me $152 for January, which they eventually refunded after a couple of more hours on the phone and a trip to the sprint store. They now are sending me a $45 bill for a charge that they can't even explain and now they are giving it to a COLLECTION AGENCY! By far the worst experience that I have ever and will ever have with any business. I wish I could take them to court and get refunded the money that I spent on my S9 and my wife's S9 and for the 6 months of bills that we paid for a service that we were never given! I switched to T-mobile, my bill is literally less than half of what it was, and I now have great coverage.
