Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and I need to redirect my complaint to the correct company, which is ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:We don't know who got our money without honoring the agreement - is it *** *** *** *** or Priceline.com?I understand everything Priceline has stated in response to this complaint Again, I reiterate, those I spoke with advised that disputing the charge with my credit card bank holder may be an option to pursue But I was never advised that my reservation would be cancelled While the charge was reversed on my charge account, it was then in fact charged back to me At no point, was I advised that I no longer had my accommodations cancelled After arriving at the hotel in *** *** is the first we learned our room had been cancelled The *** *** does not have receipt of the funds charged to my credit card Because we were told that it was not possible to cancel the reservation, and we had paid the money, we arrived at our destination as originally agreed to with Priceline only to find out that the reservation had been cancelled No one can tell us who was able to take our money with no obligation to honor the terms of the agreement Therefore, is it correct for me to understand that this is the method that Priceline offsets their discounted prices? In other words, who has received the funds for a purchase I paid for a hotel in *** ***At the time I made the reservation I explained to Priceline that I was naive to the process and I honestly believed I would have an opportunity to accept or reject the option provided to me For that reason, I made an immediate call to Priceline.com in the hopes for an amicable resolution Bottom line is, we paid for accommodations, arrived at the hotel, did not have our room available, and some entity has profited - unfairly at the dissatisfaction of an honest consumer At the very least is it possible to receive a voucher of equal value from whomever has kept our money to use at a future time?
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:You falsely advertised full coverage insurance to me, and it did not cover enough for me to drive legally in my state. The reps that I had talked to on the phone in your company, agreed that I had full coverage and was legally able to driveIt took me finding out that I was not covered to get a solid response from your company, who then told me they were unable to do anything because the reservation had already started.I feel that I am being reasonableBare minimum, you should return the insurance charge that you falsely advertised to me.
Sincerely,

I have received the consumer’s additional commentsAs you requested, I have again reviewed this matter to see if we overlooked anything that might support a more favorable conclusionUnfortunately, there is nothing we can add to what has already been stated in our previous correspondence We apologize if the consumer found our customer service to be unsatisfactoryWe take your comments very seriously and have forwarded them to the appropriate individuals including the representative named by the consumer for consideration and coachingWe apologize for any inconvenience experienced by the consumerAdditionally, airlines adjust their schedules for a number of reasons and do not communicate why the change occurred when notifying travel agents or customersIn the event of an airline schedule change, the airline will typically rebook the reservation on an alternate flight closest to the original departure time Our ability to assist due to an airline schedule change is dependent upon the airline's policyThe change to the consumer’s reservation is a result of the airline modifying their schedule

I am rejecting this response for the following reasonsWhether a fee for a checked bag is applicable depends on the type of tariffAs evidenced in the document attached, it is nowhere indicated that the tariff is "mini" or "basic", which would make the fee applicableThis makes it certainly not unreasonable to assume that the tariff is something other than "mini" or "basic", in which case no fee is applicable as per *** *** websiteAppealing to Priceline's disclaimer does not address this issuePriceline, together with the airlines whose tickets it sells, should simply have the indication of the tariff (not to mention, a clear indication of what it means) so that customer have the means of properly verifying what services they are buying at least before they buy it (not to mention, after they buy it).To make things worse, the attached document shows what was reported on Priceline's website concerning *** *** policy, which is misleading since it indicates that *** *** charges no fee for the first checked bag in EuropeBut my point is primarily about hiding the type of tariffWith an indication of the type of tariff, even if Priceline does not want to explain what it means so as to induce customers to buy without full awareness of the limitation of the ticket, at least customers would be able to verify for themselves (*** *** website requires that one knows the tariff to obtain the information)

I am rejecting this response because: I experience the information provided when I was choosing to make a reservation (which said that I could make a reservation with no risk because I could cancel with no penalty within hours) is misleading, because when I got to the point of actually making the reservation, I had to read the fine print to discover that it was not necessarily so, depending upon the flight I selected This I find to be less than upfront and totally honest I am disappointed in this, because I have always used Priceline to make reservations for hotels and flights, but I will hesitatate to do so in the future I appreciate the effort on the part of Priceline to satisfy me with a discounted hotel reservation, but that does not satisfy me in that it does not address the concern I have about the promise to be able to cancel a reservation within hours, that is only possible on certain flights, but that is not stated upfront
Sincerely,
*** ***
