About a week ago I deposited a decent amount of money into my stash account and accidentally deposited the same amount immediately after. I frantically tried to cancel the transaction but it wouldn’t let me. I tried to call but they were closed early due to covid and I used the ask stash thing and it wouldn’t tell me how to cancel the specific transaction I did. So it went through the next day and pulled my bank account way into the negative.I went to put the money back and my account was locked. I called and they told me to send a bank statement and a picture of my id so I did and they said someone would call me in a few days to unlock it. Nobody did. So I called again. They told me the same thing and still nothing happened. Since then there’s been about 4 times I have called, sat on hold, been told the same thing and every time it’s the same result. Nobody calls and I still can’t access my money. I even talked to a supervisor and it was just the same thing. I have gotten multiple overdraft fees and I am late on bills and I’m getting feed for being late on rent. I asked to speak to the people who are reviewing my info and can unlock my account but they said I can’t and I just have to wait. So I’m just waiting with no money watching fees pile up because I can’t access my own money. I have never been treated like this by a company and I don’t know what to do

I started a Stash account several months ago. I never used it but signed up for the one dollar plan. In February 2020, I cancelled the plan. However, Stash is still charging me the monthly fee. I logged on in April to cancelled it again. Yet, Stash is still billing me for the service. I tried to log in today May ***, 2020 and it did not accept the password. I tried to use the forgot password link. When I clicked on the link it doesn't do anything. I am using a very expensive Note phone. I really don't understand why the app has been designed to merge directions together on the app. It didn't do this when I signed up for the plan. It also, said customers may cancel anytime. Stash has made it impossible for me to log back in to check the status of my account. The reset password feature is not working.

I made a transaction of $20.00 but, mistakenly transferred $2,000.00. I immediately went to their cancel transaction application which does not work and was confirmed by their site representative in a customer service position. I requested to have my transaction changed to $20.00 and was informed it was not possible. I closed my account with such said business representative and was informed by her it (the cancellation/closing of my account with them would take up to 2 weeks. While I waited for it to close, I cancelled my account on my end. since, only $50.00 of my $2000.00 has been refunded. All this could be avoided if their cancel transaction application was working and I am suffering financially during this pandemic without financial resources to adequately provide for my 7 year old twins and 8 year old children. I am on a fixed income and their customer service is either impossible to get hold of or serve no purpose to remedy the issue.

The STASH App for iPhone has notified me or I have otherwise noticed approximately five times that I have "Cash to Invest" or that I have a small available balance in my Stash "Bank Account." For example, on May *, 2020, when logging on to the App, there was $17.53 in my Cash to Invest Account and $10 in my Stash Bank Account. I had previously received similar notices and had asked where these balances came from - whether these were possibly dividends, or a Bonus from Stash. I did not receive a response, and tracked those from May and previously, where it turns out that when I invested the $17.53 "Cash to Invest" in my account, it appeared to have been withdrawn from my linked EXTERNAL Bank Account, and, apparently the $10 in my Bank Account had already been withdrawn from my linked EXTERNAL Bank Account, where I made sure long ago to turn off any automatic debit withdrawals. Unless I am missing something, which I have tried to find out prior to this complaint, it is evident that the "Cash to Invest" is an arbitrary number that was made for the purpose of encouraging me to invest under the assumption that the funds noted in my STASH account was unrelated to my EXTERNAL Bank Account, and that funds were being automatically withdrawn into the Bank Account without authorization.

In light of the current public health crisis, I decided to cancel my subscription and investing services with Stash Investing - a $5/mo. subscription and $9/mo. investment ($14 total). I went ahead and did this in March, expecting to not see any sort of withdrawal from my account in April.

April came, and the withdrawals were made. I went back into my Stash account to ensure I properly shut down my subscription - I did initially consider "user error." The account did show that I still had my subscription in place. When I went through their FAQs to determine how to end my subscription, I found several links broken and ultimately the "unsubscribe" button ghosted out no matter what I did. This is when I made my way to their Facebook page, because I had an inkling I would see some complaints. I was not disappointed - their posts are full of complaining comments, many similar to the experiences I am having.

After posting my own complaint on their Facebook wall, I received a personal email from the company and the assurance that my account would be canceled. While upset that that's what it took, I accepted it at face value and chose to move on.

Until today, May *, when the $5 subscription fee was removed from my account. I expect the $9 will be soon to follow. I also have yet to receive the funds that I have deposited with Stash. I signed back into my account and it does note that I do not have a subscription with Stash.

I cannot cancel subscription to Stash. I tried it online first via desktop, and it allowed me to go through this whole process only to tell me that there was an issue. Then I tried doing it through the app, only to have that to tell me to call. When I called they told me that they had reduced hours due to COVID-19 (understandable, but it shouldn't gotten that far--I don't understand how an iPhone that requires my thumbprint to open the app is not suitable).
I then proceeded to email customer support where I expect either no one will answer or they'll tell me to call.
As this issue is not resolved I will continue to call until it is canceled.
Save your money elsewhere. Honestly a mattress would be among my first recommendations by comparison.

This company keeps pulling money out of my checking accounts and I have no idea who they are. I had a new account created at my bank and there was another auto withdrawal. My bank has been filing fraud charges for me.

I have contact them but not sure what information to give them. Now I am scared to give them that.

I signed up with Stash investments through an app on my phone. Everything was good initially. No problems. But one day I got a notificated that two orders have been placed for $3,333. I would never place such orders. I barely enough money to pay my bills most of the time. Whatever investments I have made, they have been for modest amounts. I called them right away and told them these two orders were a mistake. I had caught it in time before the orders had finished processing and had gone through to my bank. There is no where on their site to stop an order and cancel it. Even before the order has been completed all of the way through and has been processed by the bank. There is no where on the site to cancel an order. So, I called them and told them it was a mistake. I would never place such orders for such extreme amounts of money. The person I talked said there was nothing they could do to stop the orders. This is after I told them it was a mistake and I would never place such orders and that I did not anywhere near that amount of money in my account. But they went and processed the orders anyway even after I told them it was mistake and did not have such a large amount of money in my account. They ignore my request to stop the orders and cancel them knowing it would overdraw my checking account by thousands of dollars. Which it now has. I am thousands of dollars overdrawn on my checking account. I called *** to have stop payment orders placed on these two orders. In the past, when I called the bank to have stop payment orders placed the withdrawn amount would go in but then it would come back out within a day or two. But this time Huntington tells there's no guarantee when you make stop payment orders. The charges went through and are still there in my account even after I called them and told to stop the payments. This was before they had even received them. So, I had contacted Stash and Huntington and told them it was a mistake and to stop the payment orders and both have refused to do so

The mailman delivered to my mailbox about three weeks ago a first class letter with a Stash+ debit card inside. I had never heard of this company before. The return address was in Florida. I called the number on the back of the card and talked to a nice lady and told her I didn't want or need this card. She asked for my email address so that they could cancel it. I have been waiting and never got an email which makes me wonder if this is legit....
