Because no one contact on 9/19/2017 . I  waiting no response   from State farm a letter stated they cancelled my insurance. No apologies the check they sent after they took out 36 dollars bounced. My bank held me accountable for third party...

I am rejecting this response because:I later found out that my insurance was actually cancelled for over one month, without me ever receiving any cancellation notice.  This is a serious problem.  I am going to cancel my insurance within the next six months if I do not receive one month of free car insurance as an accomodation for this error.  This is not a game.

I am rejecting this response because:someone from State Farm called to let me know that their subcontractors that took the call had messed up and that someone from that office would be contacting me with their apology and refund. Later that day their subcontractor did contact me to let me know that they were sorry for the inconvenience that I had received but that it was State Farm’s policy’s that they were following. It has been a game of he said she said pointing blame at the other companies yet no one is taking responsibility for the mess up. I have however received apologies from both companies about the inconvenience I had received and a promise of a refund but so far all I’ve got is phone calls with finger pointing at the other company with no action.

sharing M[redacted]’s concerns. I asked Team Manager [redacted] to review and he provided the following information regarding the claim. Mr. [redacted] spoke with M[redacted] on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. M[redacted] was concerned with our request to obtain her social security number before settling her bodily injury claim and wanted to know why State Farm would need her social security number for a bodily injury claim. Mr. [redacted] explained Section 111 of the Medicare and SCHIP Extension Act (MMSEA) of 2007 created additional notice requirements under the Medicare Secondary Payor (MSP) provisions of 42 U.S.C.S. The act requires an insurer to: • Determine whether a person making a claim is entitled to Medicare benefits on any basis. • Submit information about the entitled person to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). One method for us to determine an individual’s Medicare entitlement is through a query, called a “Ping”. The Ping compares, information submitted to the Social Security Administration database to identify whether an injured person is entitled to Medicare benefits. The Ping requires five data elements for the injured person: • Social Security Number (SSN) • First Name • Last Name • Date of Birth (DOB) • Gender Mr. [redacted] ensured M[redacted] that State Farm makes every reasonable attempt to protect her personal information. The claim specialist asking for her social security number only did so to fulfill our obligations to the Medicare and SCHIP Extension Act. On January 11, 2018, the claim specialist was able to obtain M[redacted]’s Social Security Number through an approved vendor which allowed us to issue her settlement draft that same day. I appreciated the opportunity to respond to M[redacted]’s concerns.
