First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize for any miscommunication that occurredOur goal is to provide world class Customer Service and when we fall short of that goal, we strive to immediately address and resolve the issue We truly regret the negative experience Mark [redacted] ’s office has encounteredNonetheless, we value Mark [redacted] DMD as a long time Stericycle customer and in the interest of maintaining positive relations we have agreed to remove the liquidated damages assessed removing the balance of $from their account

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: We were deceived into signing the new agreement by their sales person named [redacted] by saying that our facility will be charged with overages should there be extra containers picked up but in reality there was only one time that we had more containers than usual So to avoid the overages we were made to sign a new contract with increased rates and more containers when in reality the increase in container only happened one time and we are not even able to use all the containers alloted to our facility as it was an unusual increase in our medical waste And during the times that we are not able to use all the containers provided we were not given credit for the smaller volume We were continuously charged with the amount for the bigger volume when it was just a one time occurrence What they conveniently fail to point out is that overgages are not charged unless the overall annual amount is exceededIn other words, a spike in monthly usages carries no adverse effect (in fact it should be anticipated) unless the client exceeds the overall annual amount of barrelsWith all the unethical business practice, even the charging of $28,is unfair considering they have not been servicing our facility for a few months now Sincerely, [redacted]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 12, 2015/10/09) */ While we regret Mr [redacted] dissatisfaction, we believe we have acted in full accordance with the service agreement signed by [redacted] Funeral Home officeWe have offered to work with [redacted] Funeral Home on potential resolutions to this matter, however this account does have a signed service agreement on file that does not expire until August 1, and they have insisted upon proceeding with the early termination of a service agreement still within its' initial term therefore we feel the liquidated damages provision outlined in section 2c is validShould Mr [redacted] wish to resume discussions around continuing services with Stericycle and finishing out the remainder of their agreement, we would be happy to continue that dialogue

While we regret [redacted] dissatisfaction, the terms and conditions of our agreement does state in section 2a; “This agreement shall automatically renew for successive terms equal to the original term unless either party has given days notice in writing during the six month period prior to the renewal date of its’ desire to terminate this agreement”One of the primary reasons our agreements are set to automatically renew is so that the medical waste removal continues as scheduled, reducing the risk of non-compliance with state regulationsWe have offered to work with [redacted] on potential resolutions to this matter, however they have insisted upon proceeding with termination of their service agreement Nonetheless, we value [redacted] as a long time Stericycle customer and in the interest of maintaining positive relations we have agreed on terminate account number 8052466, removing the liquidated damages and fee’s billed after cancellation, leaving the balance due We truly appreciate the opportunity we have had to serve [redacted] DMD over the years and wish continued success for the business

We preface our signature line with the statement “By signing below I acknowledge that I am the customer’s authorized officer or agent and that I have the authority to bind customer to this agreement ” so that the individual reading the document will verify before signing that they are authorized to do so On our end we have no way of knowing who is or is not authorized to sign an agreement for a particular officeTypically accepting and paying for the service for a significant period of time also serves to ratify the agreementIt is unfortunate that your representative did not read and understand what was signed However, we are more than willing to work with our customers; we will have one of our Managers reach out to Ms [redacted] directly in order to review potential solutions to this matter

So far we have been unable to connect with either, but we hope that they will return our message and give us an opportunity to resolve their concerns. Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have talked to them more than three times and the lowest they can go is $per month when all of the other firms are paying $per monthI want a price matchWe are the same type of business with the same call volume and there is no reason we should be paying that much more for this serviceThe resolution that I am wanting is a price match to all the other firms in our area that have the same type of business Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have tried on multiple occasions to resolve this issue and I keep getting transferred around with different people giving me different responses Most recently, Stericycle charged me $for an extra pick up which we never requested Our contract was already reduced to pick ups a year and they decided to come during a "non-scheduled" pick up We never called or requested that pick up Now they refuse to remove that charge In addition, they have someone else calling and emailing a new contract to sign to increase the scheduled pick ups I never requested a new contract or additional pick ups This is deceptive practice to send contracts by email without explanation to tie the customers into new and longer agreements All healthcare providers should be warned of doing business with this company because they make it nearly impossible to terminate a contract with them In addition, they raise rates inadvertently Their rates are are more than times that of local competitors Sincerely, [redacted]
