Student Loan Support Reviews (329)

She was contacted by the Compliance Manager on Friday 9/26/14. He told her we completed the work, he was not authorized to commit to a refund and he would ask for a review.  He did try to retain her as a client and explained how our Company processes files and that of course she can process her own file but this is our only business and we prepare files for the best outcomes.  She told him that I do not want the company's services and wanted a refund as requested.  The refund is not reasonable after the fact that she received services and we made that decision 10/1.

proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appearI am not satisfied because they said they were the only way I could consolidate my loans and needed to pay them and pay them every month after talking to my loan company they said this is not true and I'm not going to pay my loan company each month and them each month

Refund request was sent to Accounting - we thought her Mother passed away and were waiting for her to contact us.

We spoke to both [redacted] and [redacted] on May 21.  We submitted their documents 5/23, as requested.  The DOE takes 30 days for feedback and we are monitoring their file.  Maybe [redacted] should contact [redacted].

Client has his signed agreement,  had a compliance call and knows what program he is enrolled in.

We left an extensive, message.  The last loan payoff amount was received by his Lender today and a letter went to the client.  Most recent pay stubs were requested.

We sent the cancellation request for client's signature.   She has not returned it.

[redacted] is Servicer, client was approved for IBR with a monthly payment of $10.00. Clients first payment on this reduced payment plan was on January 18th 2015.

Client was told she received a refund and it was sent.  She did not respond to the message.

We spoke to the client 4-17-14.  She said she understood her payment to her loan Servicer would be $71 because what she stated she earned was different from the proof we received for her actual income.  The income determines the amount she pays to her Servicer.  She was approved by...

her Servicer for a $71 payment.  Because this an income based program, the Servicer will check each year to qualify the repayment..  We would have resubmitted these requirements each year but the client is stating she wants to quit.  We had not heard from her since April and will call her.

As a matter of fact, I do NOT know that Student Loan Support provided ANY service. I didn't pay for the service, and would never expect to receive any service for that reason. Yet they claim they have been servicing this account.
It is mentioned by [redacted] from their Compliance Department that part of the service provided by Student Loan Support is that they call their clients to give them updates on their loans and what they do to help alleviate some of the cost. I never once received a call from any service representative in this regard. And I see zero reflection of any service having been done on my loans.
If this account has been being serviced since June of 2014 (8 months), why have I not received any of the services that Student Loan Support says they provide?
I never paid for service. I never received service. It is wrong for this to be pursued by collections.

I contacted this company on a couple different occasions asking the status of when I would receive a bill or have to start making payments as the $29.00 fee continued to come out of my account.  I spoke with [redacted] and she just kept telling me they are working on it and her last conversation was "Oh great news your loan has been bought buy Fed Loan Servicing."  I am aware of Fed Loan Servicing and that would have happened whether I had Student Loan Support or not because that is where my wife's loan is.  This company is a hoax.........they make it sound good to people but do nothing to really help them.  They prey off of students who are already in debt and hurting financially.  I am requesting a full refund of all monies paid into this company.......immediately.

Servicer stated that Client should be receiving a summary statement within the next 10-15 business days.

reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Last June I looked at refinancing my student loan. Studen Loan Services manager [redacted] told me that I could get a payment at $210, and obtain student loan forgiveness based upon my income and work situation. I did have to pay $395 up front, then pay a maintenance fee of $29 a month. Once a new servicer through the Department of Education took over my loans, the quoted repayment was $294, not the $210 promised me. Moreover, according to them, I did not qualify for loan forgiveness. I contacted Student Loan Services about this four times between November and January. They kept promising I did qualify for the lower payment and forgiveness and said they would take care of the issue for me. I never received any call backs from them. Moreover, my payment remained at $294 - which was still $90 above the quoted payment. On January 21, I did send an email, asking for a refund of the $395 I paid to them, along with a refund of the $29 monthly fee I paid for six months (I cancelled any further payments with my bank). I did not hear back either via email or phone. I called again in March, asking about the status of a refund. I was told that I would hear back within a few days from the company. That has not happened as of today (April 5). They misrepresented the repayment as well as student loan forgiveness. Someone I had two people contact me, one of those promised to file a refund request with accounting. Another one, [redacted], called the following week and was working with me. I requested a conference call (again) with Fed Loan Servicing and Student Loan Support. We set a time for darly afternoon on April 17. I never received that call. I called on April 20 asking for a response and was told he would call back. I called again on April 29 asking for someone to call me back. I still have not heard back from them.I want this company to 1) call me back, 2) refund my money, and 3) issue an apology for their rude unprofessionalism and poor customer service.
Regards,
[redacted]

We have not heard from the client and will not discuss her personal situation on this open forum.  We are not taking payments and she can call us if she needs help.
