[redacted] I do not feel   l that I should pay over nine hundred dollars for a new refrigerator, when mine is not yet six years old. I started having problems within two years. I just will never buy another GE product ever again.  It's sad that you have to go on you tube to learn that this is in fact a factory defect, I quess I'll be cleaning out the drain plug in my freezer until I'm blessed to afford another refrigerator.

They did finally respond over a week later and that was only after I posted on their Facebook page, wrote the Attorney General's office, the Revdex.com and posted on other Social Media.  A Social Media Specialist from GE finally took action and got things resolved.  Also GE doesn't let you know there is insurance for your food that has perished.  I found out quite by accident in talking to customer service.  Our case manager never did call.  the number of hours that it took to resolve this was extensive and exhausting.

[Regarding my refrigerator issues, I had a diagnostic done by a local appliance repair provider. I was told that the board is bad and this is the cause for the issue of food freezing in the refrigerator compartment. This part has also been replaced by GE factory service in the past. I have discussed the offer of GE providing parts at no additional cost to me that had already been replaced in past repairs. If that offer still stands, I would consider accepting the offer but I need to know what steps are next. Does the repair have to be done by GE Factory service?  Please let me know how I should go forward.
