Sun Chemical Corporation Reviews (1959)

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. I have spoken with Ms. [redacted] and apologized for the trouble she's had with her GE range. Although the unit is out of warranty, we agreed to give her the part at no charge. She will call her warranty company once it's...

received to set up the repair. I told her that I would follow up with her after the repair has been completed. Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns. Sincerely, [redacted]Program Manager

GE called me and the guy said he actually agreed with me. He was sending someone out to fix it (AGAIN). Then, when the day came, they called to say they won’t be coming because they have to order parts. The parts are sitting here and I haven’t heard from them.Kind regards,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First, I am confident that [redacted] never read the full Revdex.com complaint I filed because of her lack of understanding what it entailed. My attempt to reenact the events as they happened fell on deaf ears because she refuses to acknowledge the fact that the dishwasher is defective.[redacted] insisted that this defective product was only serviced once in JUNE of 2016 and remarked that it was an INSTALLATION ISSUE not a LEAK like I reported.[redacted] insisted that a service technician was NOT sent to my home by GE in NOVEMBER of 2016 after I provided her with the service call number given to me by the technician on that day AND informed [redacted] that I had an email from GE confirming that service appointment. That NOVEMBER service call was ALSO for a LEAK and rebutts the INSTALLATION ISSUE theory. This defective dishwasher has been slowly leaking for six months now.[redacted] insisted that I never logged a complaint with GE when in fact, on November 14th, 2016, I spoke with [redacted] at the GE customer complaint department.[redacted] was the same GE representative that offered to extend my manufacturers warranty three months. She made this offer in lieu of a new dishwasher for the FACT and IN HER WORDS, that I had not logged THREE service calls required to submit a claim for an exchange. This information was also confirmed when I spoke to the [redacted] & [redacted]'s customer service agents as well.[redacted] inisisted that this "three service call" requirement does NOT exist and that she has no idea who told me this.[redacted] went on to say that there wasn't a set number for service calls before they deem it to be defective.1-Why the discrepencies ? How can two representatives provide two different policies ?2-Unlimited service calls ? How many times will the technician come to my home and use spit and glue to hold my machine together ? Until the one year manufacture's warranty is expired ?In Conclusion, I find it amusing, yet baffling, how a $50 BILLION dollar company answers a Revdex.com complaint with a SERVICE CALL resolution which I AM ENTITLED to at any time during the one year of purchase with a call to the GE customer service phone number ?!?!Unsatisfactory, Unprofessional and Insulting.

I have been without a washer since 9/28/15 and NOW you admit to having no certified tech here and want me to find a tech. [redacted] your worker at the call center stated that if tech is not certified by GE it null and voids the remainder of the warranty, true or not? If I could have called another tech without voiding the warranty why has this gone on this long. I have spent at least 6 hours of phone calls emails, etc and 15 hours commuting and doing laundry at the laundromat. It is unbelievable that after almost 7 weeks of giving me the run around GE's representative wants me to cut cords rip of tags etc. AND TRUST that you will come and pick up the washer and send my full refund. [redacted] more specifics please. Like how long will I have to wait for the reimbursement for the repair, does it void the remainder of the warranty and how will you adjust the remaining warranty to reflect the time I was without a washer. If I send the cord receipt etc how long do I have to wait for the money and when will you pick up said washer? lets flush out the details please.

Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. A service call was scheduled for 3/28/16 to address the dishwasher leak/door issues, but the parts had not arrived.  Once the parts are delivered [redacted] Power Service will return to complete the repair.  GE will follow...

up with the consumer once the repair has been completed. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

The consumer's refrigerator has been repaired and we have agreed to reimburse the parts and service charge.

This consumer has not responded to my voice mail from 5/19.

Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. The door gap issue discussed is not indicative of a problem with the range.  Ms. [redacted] states she has a service contract on the unit and has scheduled service for her current concerns.   Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

The service person came on 1/31/17 and said he has to order three parts so we'll have to wait another week for the fridge to be working

Issue resolved.

I won't be buying anything GE and my family won't either. They Lost a lot of respect and business. Hopefully strangers will see this and not buy from them either.

resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I did receive a call from [redacted] at GE and was offered a new fridge and a cash reimbursement, however we're back at square one.  The turnaround was super fast, and new fridge was delivered today, however, that fridge was damaged/cracked as well and we didn't accept it. Both  the original damaged fridge and the new fridge were both picked up by the delivery crew. I think at this point we'd have to find another resolution, possible refund so we can purchase another model?

I have not gotten the replacement unit, but what has been promised is that they will locate the exact same model of the unit that I originally purchased but WORKING... and install that for me.  IF they do this (replace the non working unit with the same make and model that I originally purchased from the store here) and assist me with transferring the extended warranty to the replacement unit that I purchased with the original purchase, this is acceptable.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The business told me that I had to use their repair man. If it was a parts only situation I should've been able to use someone of my choice who would've been a lot less expensive. They sent the person who repaired my water heater and told me that it would be $99. That is my complaint. When the gentleman arrived he then told me he was charging an additional fee which made it $219.  I have since contacted a local repair man who indicated that his charge would've been $120. Therefore GE's repair man is charging 100 more dollars than a local repair man would have. So they left me zero choice but to use their person who once again charged more than $15 per minute.  So while they indicate that the part was of no cost to me obviously they inflated their charges to offset it and then insisted that I used someone of their choosing. The issue here is that they forced me to use their repair man, told me it would be one fee and then bait and switched me once the person arrived. That is poor business. That is dishonest business. And it is even more frustrating that they're not even researching and dealing with the lack of accurate information that was given to me. I've been given nothing but the runaround by this company and no one is taking responsibility for their a me once the person arrived. That is poor business. That is dishonest business. Apparently this company believes that I should have held on to a dish washer that broke twice for weeks (the first time they didn't want to do anything for me -- now they claim they would have fixed despite it being out of warranty if I only held on to). While I don't believe the would have paid to fix it, I'm not sure I would have wanted that piece of junk in my home to break a third time. First time it flooded the place, next time it might have set fire to it. I think their product is so defective they should refund the money or at least pay for the new (non-GE) dishwasher, which cost $500, plus the service calls on their horribly constructed product ($250). [redacted], of the chairman's office, did not want to do that and said he can do nothing about it because we replaced the broke dishwasher. Who wouldn't have replaced that piece of junk after two weeks? He also, laughably, contended that GE makes good, reliable product, which is a joke. We had a GE range we replaced after a few years. Who ever heard of a range breaking but this is the type of slipshod crap this companies makes. If you had problems with GE products, and I"m sure there are a lot of people out there who have, please call [redacted] at his direct line [redacted] and let him know the real quality of GE appliances. This is not a company to do business with.
