This customer did not follow our procedure for sending items in to consign on Swap.com When items are sent in, the customer is to request a pre-paid inbound shipping fee through his/her accountThis label has a $feeThe inbound service fee covers the inbound shipping of the box, the processing of every item in the box, and the storage of each itemThe inbound service fee is deducted from the sale of the seller's items. The customer states that she paid $25/box to ship the two boxes in as she does not have a local [redacted] shipping facility to send the boxFor all customers who are not local to a shipping facility, we offer to schedule a pick up in which Swap.com pays any extra fee for shipping, paying to ship the box is never required or expected of our customersTo request a pick up, our sellers simply have to contact our support team and a team member can schedule the pick up for a future dateWhen items are received in our fulfillment center, each item is inspected to ensure that it is of high enough quality for resaleAs a consignment company, we have to consider the quality of the items and how the next shopper would receive themUnfortunately, not all items can be acceptedIt is not personal to the sellerThere is a commission that is taken from the sale of itemsThe commission is 25% of the sale price + $per item soldWe have a link on our website that explains all of our fees: https://www.swap.com/fees/ This and our Help Center is always available to any person who may be considering selling with Swap.com, or buying the merchandise that is availableWe have contacted the customer and offered to compensate her the two $inbound service fees that were deducted

Our return policy changed in April 2016, depending upon the reason for return, you will be issue the funds as a store credit or back to your original funding source When credit is issued, the customer is sent a code to add to his/her account to add the store creditIf an account is set up with [redacted] , the credit is automatically added As an alternative to [redacted] , we offer a link login option in which a link is sent to the customer's email to access the accountThis is created by going to www.swap.com, click on login/sign up, then on Alumni Login at the bottom right hand corner of the pwindowIn order to use store credit of any kind, an account needs to be created, it cannot be used when checking out as a guest. We have process the $of RMA [redacted] to the original funding source of the customerIf there are other returns that she is inquiring about, we will need to the RMA numbers

Hi [redacted] Happy that we were able to resolve this issue. Please let us know when you receive your items and compensation. Thanks, [redacted]

Complaint [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I am confident that my items met their criteriaThey are choosing to not accept a large number of items because it is easier for them, and they want as many $fees as possible Sincerely, [redacted]

I have visited this online company several times as well as ordered several times and my experience has been positive on all aspects, site navigation, ordering and receivingTheir products are in excellent condition and arrive quickly and well packaged, you can ell they care about the customer experience I will keep them bookmarked as a favorite and visit them often

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted]

This is a wonderful website for buying and selling used clothing, shoes, toys and baby gearI order several times a quarter and have purchased maternity clothing, boys and girls clothing, and books from this siteEverything is as pictured, clean and well maintainedThe prices are fantastic and I like that it helps the planetI recommend swap.com to all my family and friends and am glad to indorse it here!

This is an amazing company and I cannot say in words how satisfied I am with their service! Swap is the best company I had dealt with and I plan on sharing my experience with everyone J know

Swap.com is a hugely misrepresented brand whose beginnings were good in that their prices were very low and one could get a good deal on namebrand clothing especially children'sSellers could easily swap with one another without exchanging money, hence the name of the companyAll is this has changed dramatically and rapidly for the worse over the last monthsMost sellers have had half boxes of their items " bulk rejected" for no valid reasonflawless and either NWT or like new conditionResponses to inquiries concerning this have been met with vague nonspecific generalities thst leave the questions asked unanswered. We sellers feel like we are playing Russian roulette when we send stuff in as swap doesn't even follow their own guidelines and it's anybody's guess what the"trained for a week"( as per CEO of swap)merchandiser will accept or reject based on how close or far away he/she is from meeting their daily quota of items they must processWith day processing backlogs even after a summer freeze, bulk rejecting has been swap's way of moving through the excess selker's items to get the queue time down to its current two week timeItems are not placed in proper categories ( i.ewoman's tops are listed as little girls, clearly boys shorts are listed as baby girls etcSets are allowed but merchandisers break them up when set in pinned , tagged or bagged together with attached notes stating" DO NOT SEPARATE" .This is done to maximize the $per item charge which swap gets less since a set of items together is a single $chargeSellers items get lost in their warehouse, soiled or dirtied and unless you supply your own insurance as a seller you have no recourse as per their TOSIt is hard for sellers to compete with swap's account of almost 800, itemsThey raise their prices to almost double what they tell us sellers to list them as and then have daily sales featuring ONLY their own account items which bring the prices of their items back down Individual sellers items are never seen in browsing by potential buyers because of all of swap's exclusive sales of their own account items which completely swamp out any other sellers items by their sheer volumeUnless someone specifically searches for a brand, size color etc your stuff will not be seen and won't sell unless the price gets lowered to a ridiculous low thereby producing a whopping cent profit. In addition , Swap.com has even implemented a new policy as of sept 1,where if your item does not sell in days swap now gets to take control of pricing your item for youSwap will offer sellers a sure sell price ( a guaranteed sale of your item to swap for up to 30% of the new retail value of the item)Perhaps swap has had a sale or two like that but all of the sure sell price offers we sellers have seen are more like 0.5%-5% max!Again very deceptive marketing. That is from the selling endnow for the buying endIf you buy from swap expect to wait at least a week for your order to arriveNEVER ever buy from swap.com's own account although it is enticing with their daily sales Items listed in good condition often have hidden stains , holes etc that are not visible in the listing photoThey use the wrinkles in the clothing to their advantage and let the wrinkles hide stainsOn several occasions I purchased an item that looked perfect in the photo but they often only show the front photo for a kids clothing item and the back which is not shown will be badly stained .Sometimes you can get a refund to your [redacted] account but most of the time now you are left with store credit , courtesy of another of swap's recent downward spiral changes.I have also bought items that are completely different brands from the one listedSwap's merchandisers are clearly overworked , underpaid, undertrained and barely supervised if at all with zero accountabilityAs far as actually swapping on swap.com the CEO has said they are doing away with that aspect as it is not a money maker and customer service has also confirmed that.Swap doesn't appear that to be in any hurry to change the name of the company even though it no longer reflects or represents their brand Swap.com's homepage has links to news & media venues under "As seen on" that you can click on and read a no longer relevant story about all the fun , convenience and profit of swapping and selling on swap.comThese are ALL from several years ago where they did represent the swap brandNow it is like reading about a foreign imposter that is unrelated to the monopolistic greedy monster they have becomeYou will waste your time and money by sending in items where swap keeps increasing the postage while decreasing the maximum box size and allowable poundageSwap also plays by their own rules They say that we still own the items we send in but would list our itemsthe same exact ones we list on swap.com they would list on [redacted] at inflated prices without our knowledge or permission and when they sell on [redacted] would give us the profit percentage based on the lower price of the same item listing in the swap.com siteAfter confronting swap.com on this , swap 's CEO suspended any new listings of sellers items on [redacted] and changed their TOS to make it very vague and all encompassing so this sort of thing would be perceived as permissible legallySwap.com has no current venue on their site for sellers to interact with each other or with buysersThere is no way to get specific questions about items answered and emails to customer service often go unansweredOften the only way we can get answers to questions or confront issues is by way of commenting on swap's [redacted] page although even then your answer will depend on who's monitoring the page at the time and can be the exact opposite of the swap staff who answered the question by phoneIn summary , swap has grown too fast for its ability and is treating sellers as disposable entities after they're used to supply the inventory to keep the site stocked Their rules keep changing and are often left open for interpretation especially as to their acceptance criteria and swap doesn't even follow their own rules they enforce on everyone else Although they serve the market in the sense they will take the photo, store your item ship it for you and figure out the payment , the extremely low profit margin and extremely high level of work and stress that has to go into having all your listing corrected make it no longer worth itIf you are on swap.com and want other sellers to interface with , discuss issues, brainstorm ideas and alternatives, then search [redacted] groups for sellers/buyers forum for swap.com and ask to join!!

Hello, We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences, and are very sorry to hear you have decided not to partner with us In reviewing your account, I see there is an order that has been created to ship your items back to you The order number is [redacted] The items are being gathered and will be shipping out via [redacted] I've included the tracking link for your reference https:// [redacted] Again, we apologize for any inconveniences Sincerely,

I had a fabulous purchasing experience with Swap All the items I bought were exactly sized and in the condition as was stated on their siteThe prices are impossible to beat! Their site is great as well, you can narrow what you are looking for to very specific criteriaI will definitely use Swap in the future! Thank you!

This was my first order from swap.com, and it was an extremely positive one I ordered a quilted backpack purse, and it arrived very promptly, nicely wrapped and just as promised It was a great buy, and I will definitely use swap.com again

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Telling me your secretly-opposite-of-the-stated return policy (again) is ridiculousYou aren't listening: You claim that you 100% Guarantee REFUNDSYou make that claim with no asterisks, no caveatsOnly after a customer purchases from you and requests the promised refund do you tell them that you DO NOT, in fact, 100% Guarantee refunds as stated on your website and on company paperworkWhen they ask for the refund, they are told that you have a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT return policy from the one that you stated in order to LURE clients to buy from you. That's called FRAUD, and I'm coming after youSee you in courtIn California Sincerely, [redacted] ***
