I have had nothing but problems since they switched banks I never received a monthly statement, new credit cards or any correspondence They simply erased my (Chase) May 16th payment which I had a confirmation on, continued to charge me a late fee and interest On the 27th I received a robo call telling me my acctis delinquent After making numerous phone calls I found out that they switched to Synchrony Now I probably show a late payment on my credit repand through no fault of mine As of today I paid the balance and canceled my account and will NEVER go to a bp station again I cannot believe how incompetent bp and Synchrony handled this change over

Horrible customer serviceMy husband and I spoke with a representative by the name of ***, and she was extremely rudeShe handled our call with a condescending demeanor, and ending the call with "I answered your question, are you done?" I was unable to leave a review due to her hanging up immediatelyVery dissatisfied

Opened a Lowe's Consumer Credit card to get a discount or extend the payment of appliancesThe communication from Synchrony was poorly formattedAfter incurring a late fee due to poor communication, they did remove it, but not the accrued interestCustomer service was TERRIBLE Their cheap system wouldn't recognize my debit card on their online payment websiteNo error message was givenWhen I phoned to contact they have an extremely dated automated voice system which you have to listen to the entire prompt before pushing a response or getting and agent Agent had little authority or ability to change anything and thought it was a nice perk to remove the fee to pay via phone! Oh, I'm giddyDebit card still wouldn't work on their system Website is best viewed in Internet Explorer - shocker - it's not even supported by its creator anymore! I've used [redacted] and had a much better time then with these bozos

Worst Bank EVERI have had several cards that were GE Capital for several yearsJust recently I found out that Synchrony Bank is now the new bankMycredit cards, which I had for years, had the limit reduced because of making more than one paymentNot once in the history of the credit card did I never pay nor were I ever late on a paymentThen, just the other da Worst Bank EVERMy wife and I have had several cards that were GE Capital for several yearsJust recently we found out that Synchrony Bank is now the owner of our accountsWe found this out by the letter sent to us from the bankMy wife's credit card, which she had for over years, had the limit reduced several "fees" were added to the account all because ONE payment was only A DAY earlyThe bank credited the account on the previous bill and assumed we didn't pay the past month's billNot once in the history of the credit card did we never pay nor were we ever late on a paymentThen, just the other day, I get a letter in the mail from Synchrony Banky LOWERING the credit limit on my Lowe's account because I was using the card!!! I just recently purchased a house and along with purchasing a house comes repairs and suchI had paid off my Lowe's account but left it open for just this occasionThis is a horrible bank that does not care about customersIf you have this bank pay off your cards and never get credit from them!! y, I get a letter in the mail from Synchrony Bank Lowering the credit limit on my Amazon I had paid off my account but left it open for gifts or other purchases This is a horrible bank that does not care about customersIf you have this bank pay off your cards and never get credit from them!!

Synchrony Bank has destroyed me, my credit score has dropped miserably and a downward spiral has begun in my life At first, they sent wonderful letters alerting me that credit limit had increased on my "BALANCE " accounts (yes PAID OFF) accounts with Pepboys, CareCredit etc Next, I received letters alerting me that my credit limit had "LOWERED" on these paid off accounts and then letters alerting me that the "BALANCE ACCOUNTS" were closed Then the Bank started looking at my open accounts with AMAZON, etc and lowering the account limit Amazon dropped from $1,to $ It was a tiny balance anyway but the fact is the bank took actions against it Why was it done? Synchrony Bank informed me that they do yearly credit checks and my credit score had dropped, therefore they took measures like, LOWERING MY ACCOUNT BALANCES, and then CLOSING THESE ACCOUNTS These accounts were in good standing with Synchrony, But they took actions against me based on a day late payment for an UNRELATED account that was not under their umbrella Then my financial circumstances and job took a big hit My vehicle blew a head gasket and with my PePBoys account closed, the repair bill quote was $1, I took on several part-time jobs Everything started crashing I was also trying to launch my freelance skills and I needed lenses and other tools to try to earn a living Credit had dried up But I still owed billsSynchrony Bank didn't waste any time I feel so desperate and dead I don't know what to do My credit began with GE Capital and was goodThen it became Synchrony Bank I can't borrow a nickel at this point to keep myself from spiraling Why would Synchrony Bank need to snoop into my credit and take action against me

Synchrony Bank took over Paypal's buyer creditThis credit was nice since it gave you added protection on Ebay and other sites Now that Synchrony has that side of Paypal, you can never pay your bill online, even though there is a link back to Synchrony bankSo you end up having to track a phone number to this bank You call the bank and they want an account number, which none of us every had as it was through our Paypal account If you can finally get to the right place to pay your bill, you have to fight for them not to charge you $for paying by phone even though their online interface has been down for months now I forgot to mention you don't get a paper statement as this was all handled online by Paypal for years Currently I have read over complaints posted online from people trying to pay their NOW Synchrony Paypal Buyer Credit Bill I am probably more upset as my hearing is bad, and trying to navigate through their phone system, and then hear the person on the other end is a nightmare I was going to contact the Attorney General of the state they are headquartered in, but can't lock them down to one state

I was given information about a potential financing opportunity from the mechanic that services my car I brought the information home to call you with some simple questions I have When I called your customer service line (of which I could only find the telephone number online), I spoke with a very rude man who had spoken with very broken English I explained that I had some questions and asked if he could help me He asked what my questions were I explained the first question about your company's financing He responded with questioning why I needed to know that I was caught off guard and asked to speak with a supervisor He asked why I needed a supervisor I calmly asked for a supervisor again He said that was not needed and he could take the application over the phone Again, I calmly asked for a supervisor The line went dead to a touch tone sound, where I was put into what I believe is a account manager call hold I waited on the line for minutes with no answer I finally gave up and disconnected the call Interest rates, fees, and company protocol are only some of the dynamics I consider when I open any account with anyone How I am treated before I open the account the larger part that usually helps me to make a determination After being treated very rudely, and placed onto a cold hold, I have come to the regretful decision that your company is not a brand I want to do business with With a very disappointed attitude, I also feel the need to inform you that I will be leaving the same review and on social media

I DO NOT recommend Synchrony Bank I have attempted for months to receive documents for a loan I am supposedly responsible for On occasions when I called the CSR would pretend not to hear or understand me saying there was a bad connection I was calling from a landline The CSR's hung up on me when I was attempting to ask for these documents It wasn't until numerous calls I finally spoke with some one and they said they could not send me the documents In the meantime I am stuck with a poor credit score with on one from Synchrony trying to correct this DO NOT use this bank! Poor customer service! They do NOT care about people or customers!

Never again! Synchrony Financial does NOT care about it's customers I have been paying off my credit card within the past year and because of medical emergencies it has been difficultAs soon as I paid off my card, my victory was smothered by a letter saying they closed my account Closed because I had not used my account in a yearWhy? This Bank is the absolute worst to deal withFirst they hit me with over $In interest at one timeWhen I called I was told by a non English speaking person that I did not keep with the agreement to pay off the entire amount by March The loan amount was $in December of I explained that no one informed me about the payoff time and that it was the Doctors office that contacted there bankIf I had know that the entire amount of $would have to be paid in months I never would have agreed to itIt took several months to be able to make payments on line, because month after month I would call because I was locked out of there siteThere customer service has no entire of what they're doing and they either hang up of transfer your callThis month I was also to.d that my card was reported stolen in Febrary of 2014, I asked how then can a Doctor get approved for such a large amount months laterThey take advantage of sick and weak people, do not use them

Synchrony Bank openly admits to a faulty website and that it has impacted customers' ability to access their accounts and pay bills, yet they regularly charge one of the highest late fees despite the customer contacting about the problems All fees have been reversed after months of disputing this with them, even though they admit the problems were related to their website My account was paid in full, within the promotional period, yet I still received an interest charge This is Fraud if they knowingly have technical issue, but still charge the customers when it is their error I have a transcript of the online chat where the agent admitted to the known technical issues and documenting the fraud mentioned above!

An absolute joke! Formerly GE Capital, they service Yamaha Loans *There is no online payment system or any way to check your balance online *Customer service is poor and Telephone wait times have exceeded minutes [redacted] The system auto-disconnects at that time so yoou have to call back [redacted] I moved; you must call them to request a form (sent via snail mail) to change your address [redacted] I changed banks: you have to wait for them to send a form via snail mail to change banking information, then return it to them via snail mailIt's been over weeks since I submitted the formThey say they have it, but auto pay won't be effective until they send me written confirmation *Pay by phone: $feeNo other way to pay other than snail mail [redacted] Attempted to charge me $in penalties because THEY won't get an auto pay initiated(After enough complaining, they removed the fees.)

I opened a home improvement account this past June I think someone needs to take some courses in math ; I am financed for $ to be paid off in eighteen months, my payment is $ a month ( I am paying $ ) If you do the math that does not add upI know I signed off on it already , I 'm just saying your taking advantage of people ( x = x = ) Where did $ come from ?

I have had a PayPal Extras Master Card for several years Dealing with them when they were part of GE Capital Bank wasn't always easy, but you could at least get through to somebody if you were persistent and patient enough Since GE became "SYNCHRONY BANK" their customer service has gone from just okay to horrible My card was recently hit with a fraudulent charge They contacted me on October to verify the charge I confirmed that it was fraudulent My card was cancelled, a new card was issued and I was promised a new card in business days Ten days passed, but no card arrived I tried contacting Synchrony customer service I couldn't get through - kept getting a recorded message announcing "due to high call volume, we are not taking calls at this time." Got this message every time I tried to call Finally called PayPal (their customer service is always superb) and they finally managed to connect me to Synchrony Synchrony's service rep told me that a card had been issued, and I should receive it within the next three days Three days passed [redacted] still no new card Tried contacting Synchrony directly four more times Finally went back through PayPal, but even their calls weren't getting through They had to make several attempts to finally connect me to Synchrony Synchrony finally told me that my account had been permanently closed, and no new card would be issued I would have to submit a new credit application Had to resort to threats of war to get a supervisor who agreed to re-issue a card on my existing account I was told I would see my new card "in seven to ten business days." Hopefully this time I actually get a new card, though I may still pay off the card and close the account I just don't want to deal with this kind of headache again This process took DAYS of repeated unsuccessful attempts to resolve when it should have taken a single phone call to a competent customer service rep If you are considering doing business with Synchrony DON'T DO IT!!! Synchrony Bank's customer service ought to be prohibited by the Geneva Convention It is nothing short of brutal torture PayPal PLEASE FIND A NEW VENDOR FOR YOUR MASTERCARD SERVICE!!!

I am having the same issues as everyone elseMake a payment, credit limit dropsSo instead of fighting the bank I am going after the major companies that use them as their "credit center"I have contacted Lowes directly to let them know that I will not shop there (cash, check or charge) as long as they are associated with Synchrony Bank

I have been able to get pertinent information when I request it for my accountMy biggest problem with synchrony bank is that they will not set up a recurring bill to run off of my debit cardI only have Mobile web access I'm frustrated by this because a synchrony csr could set it up in seconds probably.hsbc, wells Fargo les Schwab tire all of those set it up via phoneGuess what, no issues whatsoever Synchrony if you would set up a recurring billing system via phone you would have a better collection ratePlain and simple They aren't rude but it is poor customer service that this isn't offered in Once my card is paid off I will close my account and doubt I'll ever consider doing business credit wise with either walmart or synchrony bank ever again
