I was always happy with my BP card from Chase It has been night and day since being taken over by Synchrony The card has been frozen several times when used within our purchasing patterns It takes forever to get a real person on the line Synchrony doesn't seem to give a damn about customer experience or inconvenience We are one issue away from cancelling our cards after being BP cardholders for over years

I have called synchrony bank every month regarding my account since JanuaryThey double charged my account by $3,and have not been able to resolve the disputeEvery month I call and am promised this outstanding issue is resolved and bounced around to each representative or supervisorNo one has been able to comprehend what the last had done, or tells me they have to wait until the next billing cycleI am very unleashed with their customer service and lack of follow through

I received my Walmart credit card (Synchrony Bank) on 11/nd saw the due date was set to a very inconvenient day of the month; not finding any information on the possibility of having due date changed on their web site, I sent Customer Service the following email: "10/19/7:09:PM EDT Subject: Wal-Mart Credit Card Account Information 1) My account summary shows "Payment Due Date: 11/08/ 2) Being on fixed social security retirement, my monthly check is deposited every second Wednesday, which ranges from 8th through 14th on the calendar; current/future examples of my SS being direct deposited 10/14, 11/11,12/9, 1/ 3) Can due date be changed to the 14th of the month or is it permanently set for the 8th? Thank you; ***" Synchrony Bank Customer Service replied: "10/22/03:26: Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding your Walmart® account, and the opportunity to be of service to you.We are happy to accommodate your request and have changed the due date on your accountGoing forward your due date will be the 14th of each monthIn addition, due dates can be changed once every monthsEstimated Cycle Date: 11/20/ Expected Due Date: 12/20/We appreciate you as a valued Walmart® customer and hope you will continue to shop with usIf you have any questions or if we may be of further assistance, please contact us via the Online Message Center Sincerely, Manoj Customer Service" (10/As stated in their email mail due date was changed by today on account summary today; 1st purchase (canoe) made with card online.) Excellent service from Synchrony to start!

I make multiple payments each month on my Sams Club Mastercard account with Synchrony Bank Last Sunday I went to sign in and I was locked out of my online account I fgured it was just a glitch so waited a few hours then tried it again with the same locked out results I called the bank and was told that my Sam's Club private label credit card had been compromised but that was even after I had to receive a digit code on my cell phone to repeat to the agent When I first called in the auto system said immediately that it had matched up my account with my phone #...I get security but let's not get ridiculous about it And what fradulent person calls the bank to complain about not being able to make a payment? Anyway the only solution to this problem is that I must present myself at a Sam's Club customer service and they have to call Synchrony from the store so the associate can identify not only themselves but check my ID and my face to make sure it's me End of problem? not in the slighteest...only the beginning of a very bad experience with their non-customer service I have never been through such a circus and still not have the problem resolved After being transferred multiple times and the associate doing as they were told and issued my a new private label card and changing the # by digit I went shopping for a minimal amount, go to the check stand and my card is declined Using another card I paid and left I called again to non-customer service only to be told by persons who obviously did not grow up speaking English that the reason was they were disconnected on the call from the store I said that absolutely did not happen that the call and the transaction of issuing me a new card was completed and good-byes were said Well tough luck Mr Customer in order to resolve the issue you must present yourself at the club store with your ID.....now for the 2nd time I drive over there again (miles round trip) associate calls and we go through the same process....multiple transfers resulting in no resolution This is the biggest farce I have ever been involved in with any business of any kind I even called Sam's Club corporate offices in Arkansas and two different ladies tried to call on my behalf but everytime they got connected with the bank they were disconnected immediately Accident? I think not! Synchrony bank has tied the hands of their customer service people but not allowing the front lines to fix the problems as they come up And dealing with those people on the phone is like they are reading from a script When they can't help you they just repeat the same thing over and over I finally spoke with a very intelligent lady named Linda yesterday who said at first she couldn't resolve my issue but she kept trying and put me on hold a couple of times they VOILA!! she did it for me! She is wonderful and she get a job with a reputable organization and they would not be Synchrony Bank I don't need a phone call from 'the' team...I hopefully will never have to speak that organization again! I like the rebate program on the Mastercard but other cards have rebate programs too I have a FICO score of over so it's not like I'm desparate to do business with this company Oh and speaking of the rebate I asked for a check only to find out they only issue rebate checks one time a year in February so just sit there and wait while they hang on to my money! Just another of the lying cheating ways! Opps, I was trying so hard not to say that......oh and by the way Synchrony Bank, not only have I selected that this is a negative review and that I would never recommend anyone ever to get involved with you as a bank, I was standing at the customer service counter in Sam's yesterday and anytime someone came up while was on hold with your people I recommended that they not get the card as that is why I was on the phone there with the bank because of the difficulty in dealing with you

After reading all the negative reviews I don't have much else to addThis bank has very suspicious practicesBills not showing up, lowering credit limits, outright lying on the letter they sent explaining their "decision" to lower my credit limitRude and condescending customer serviceListen to the advice here folksIf you don't have credit with them run for your life and be thankfulIf you do have credit with them pay it off as quick as you can and get the "hey out of dodge." This company will mess up your credit for sure

Synchrony bank is a scam, I tried to pay them twice with accounts that have well over the amount of my $payment, the won't take the money, they send it back and then RAISE MY BALANCE!!! They do this to try and auck money out of you, and if you call still no person on the other end until you press a million buttons, this is not right! And the people there can't even find your account, but they blow up your phone hourlyI do plan to tale legal action because I have tried to give them the payment, they just won't take it!

This bank handles Banana Republic Visa card and I've just had one of the worst customer service experiences I called them after unable to update address online and after a long system message (including your balance and payment info), I was finally in line to speak to a real personThe first representative who answered me said she'd give me instructions on how to update my addressWell, I said, I had tried online myself and encountered problemsThen I told her where in the steps the glitch wasGuess what? She couldn't understand what the issue wasHer English was ok, with an Indian accent, but her grasp of basic customer service skills left much to be desired After several minutes of back and forth, it hit me that she had no clue how to update an address other than reading the script of generic instructionsSo I asked to be transferred to her supervisor in order to accomplish the simple task of address updateShe first gave me excuses of her supervisor's line was busy, etc, etcI said, I insisted and was willing to holdThen she simply hung up on meShocker Then I called again, speaking to a male representativeAgain after giving the details of my card, etc, I politely asked to be transferred to a manager at the customer service deptA few minutes later, a Spanish speaking person answered the lineUpon realizing I do not speak Spanish, she switched to English and told me she was with legal service within the bankAgain, I exppained to her what happened with the previous two associates and asked, in no uncertain terms, to speak to one of the supervisors for customer service After a wait, a woman answered the phone but quickly hung up leaving me barely the time to say helloWhat is going on with Syncrony bank customer service for Banama Republic Visa? This is so bad that it's almost funny, if you do not need their service I'm going to cancel my account as soon as I get the statement next month

I bought a polaris through this bank big mistake!! I've been a customer with Synchrony Bank for a few years now and the customer service department is completely horrible to deal withI mad a payment of $250, which is a lot more then the minimum payment due at the beginning of may and because in was on the day my new statement begun It was put towards marches payments and because of this I was charged a late fee for May and now owe a double paymentIt just seems itic that I was charged a late fee even tho I made a paymentI called and spoke with a few people and they where very rude and unable to helpOnce I pay this account off I will be closing it and no longer dealing with themWhat a horrible way to treat your customers

I just purchase a motorcycle with synchrony bank I wanted to set up automatic payment and it was a hassleI Got a bill in the mail when to call the time says Monday to Friday from a.mto p.mwhen I call no one answers and the phone hangs up you have to put account number in times to get customer service.customer services is rudeand their payment method is weird and expensive

I have been with synchrony since feb, I bought a massage chair at local event with a payment years free term no interest type of planI quit my job in april 2016, late payment in may, called and fixed in june September they start calling me times a day to tell me that my payment is late and I have not made adequate paymentsI paid the late fee in june and caught everything up via phoneno email available per agent in indiaCall in sept to clear it up , they were charging me dollar late fees and raising my payments to over dollars a m onth with no notificationI use a bill pay system and the agent in just said that july payments would go back to so I programmed them for a yearThe whoel entire account is a messThe agent was rude and "fixed it "Saying that I messed it upKept repeating account info that I did not request, kept me on the phone asking stupid questions that I did not want answeredI was not being treated in a respectful manner, nor appreciated my questions not being addressedHe stated taht we resolved all issues and I was to pay in september and oct payment would go back to so I fixed my bill pay accordingly as instructedMy bill arrived this weel and the payment is added late fees again noted and its still a messI spoke with agent [redacted] agent number [redacted] today and she said she removed all late fees and this is my final worning and this is the last time!!!! what I did nothing to deserve this mess!! Synchrony Financial Had accounts with them in the past, paid all accounts on time, paid both accounts off in their entirety and both accounts were closed Attempted to purchase some furniture for $10,last night and we were denied on our credit application After spending an hour navIgating their website and automated phone system, I finally spoke to a person today When asked why we were denied their operator, with a very thick Indian accent, finally tells me that she cannot tell me why we were denied and that we will need to wait for a letter REALLY,!!!!! It takes less than minutes to deny us credit, but I have to wait to days to find out why? My wife and I have worked VERY hard to build our credit, we both have credit scores in excess of And this is how we are treated! We get the run around from their stupid, Ill designed website AND their worthless phone support! Don't worry, I paid cash Never will I do business with them again!

In have a TJX card with Synchrony bank, they are the worst bank I ever dealt with their customer service Is terrible, out of the states, terrible to understand, rude and not helpful at all, you need to call them several times to resolve one issue Statements are mailed late all the time, you receive them a couple of days at the most before the amount is due, and very often you don't get a statement at all, I swear they do this on purpose to collect late fees I receive regularly every other statement except for Synchrony bank I hope that TJX changes banks very soon, I am very close to canceling this card even though these are my favorite store

If I could give this company less than one star I would, I had a card thru them for some furniture I had purchased, with a promotional period with no interest for X amount of months,they didn't tell me hey your time for no interest is closing next monthThen they hit you with a outrageous interest, my balance was per say 130, the next month it was charged with for interest, after giving the it on the other end of the phone my few choice words, I closed my account, and will never EVER do business with these interest rapists again

I had not used an online bank before but decided to try Synchrony Bank because the rates for a CD in an IRA are better than my local bankI do not know why it did not workThe money never transferred from my bank to SynchronyMy bank said they never received the paper work that Synchrony said they sent twiceI checked the address and it was the right oneAfter a couple of months I gave upI then used another investor group and the money transferred in a couple of weeksI also noticed after the account (to which no money was transferred) was opened and Synchrony sent me paperwork the interest rate was different I still don't know what happened?

I have never done business or had any contact with Synchony BankI received mailings regarding Chevron and Texaco Visa Cards which I do not now have or ever had concerning "Rooms to Go/synchrony Bank" Account concerning a monthly fee of $per $account balance I called bank customer service at 1-800-815-and received no satisfaction of why I Received mailings and solicitation I believe this is a SCAM MAILING

I have had the Gap card since I always pay on time and always pay more than the minimum amount, I made a payment of $and then I looked at my statement, and they lowered my credit limit to after I made the big paymentI was going to use this for my vacation now I can't go because I put all my vacation money on this cardHorrible business practiceHow can you lower a card that much when I pay on time every month

had an issue accessing my account online They could not resolve this issue I then requested a paper statement be mailed to me I did not recieve this statement and had to call back againThier customer service barely spoke english and were very hard to understand I finally spoke with a "manager" he was not helpful and a complete smartass I closed my account and cannot believe this the company Amazon choose for thier store cardHORRIBLE

Four months ago I tried to buy a sewing machine with my A+ rating on credit, which I had just paid off another sewing machine a few months before with GE Credit All payments were on time, and no problems that I was aware of The sales clerk called what is now known as Synchrony Bank and the woman on the other end of the line wanted to speak to me She got very nasty with me, demanding what my income was without my husband's (of years) income was I began by telling her my social security Then she got really nasty and told me I was breaking the law, before I had time to even finish my sentence, and wanted to talk to the sales clerk again I do sewing for customers, and get payments I also do a few other things, such as Web Designs As the sales clerk pointed out to her this is a community property state I have property in my name, yes even two cars! I'm not destitute, and far from it Now, four months later, all of my credit cards are refused, and placed on "high risk" just because I am a married woman!! I have never been late with payments, and in fact pay off the bills myself My husband came over to this incident while it was ongoing We ended up getting the sewing machine credit through his credit rating and income But now my credit is ruined through no fault of my own I worked hard all of my life for this to come to nothing, and treated like a criminal All the banks are the same, liars and crooksI am more than mortified over what they have done to my life
