My BP Visa Credit Card account was transferred from Chase to SynchronyI tried to register the new card for online serviceThe message was that my birthday did not match their recordsI am sorryMy birthday really is my birthday and I cannot change itI also noticed from info received in the mail that the Synchrony interest rate is going to be 26.99%, a huge increase over ChaseDue to this and the negative reviews, I am not going to use the cardLooks like BP has made a serious mistakeIn our area the higher price of BP gas offsets the rewards anyway

I was recently encouraged by Sam's Club to open an account, a Sam's Club Mastercard, that would provide cash back options on purchasesI initially declined the offer but eventually agreed to the card since I was pre-approved and the Sam's Club rep said it was really good rates and I could save a lot of money I was sent to the Customer Service desk to retrieve my card Once I arrived it took minutes and a hard credit inquiry hit my credit report which I did not appreciateI had to forfeit my Sam's membership card and was issued a new temporary credit card on the spot I was told that they didn't know the interest rate yet but it was very good The purchases of that day were required to be charged to the Sam's Club mastercard A few days later I received my Sam's/Synchrony credit card with no interest rate information A week later I received my Sam's Club/Synchrony statement and found the interest rate to be 22.9% for purchases This is hugely insulting as I have an excellent credit score and I consider the rate to be very highI called the Customer service number for Sam's Club members at Synchrony Bank After minutes of my time and different associates being invloved my card was finally cancelled at my request I am now told I have to make a personal trip to Sam's Club to get a new Sam's membership card issued This customer service is terrible and Sam's Club should not treat their long-term good customers to this treatment Sam's Club should not push customers to charge purchases Sam's Club should not promote 22.9% interest charges for any financial institution This is not a service but a penalityToo bad there is not a Costco in my local area

Okay I am an amazon fiend I was excited to get an amazon card which I've had not even a month yet Now I'll take the some of the blame but my card was completely closed out recently without a notice My first bill isn't due until June 10th Back in April I made an early payment to get a head start on paying my balance Now I'm active duty military and I have this thing I do before I deploy to have my money going to a separate acct, so when I do use my card overseas and my card gets corrupted or stolen it won't affect all of my hard earned money, well I forgot to switch my monet back over after deployment When I made the early payment I used the empty acct which is not empty but the funds are in a separate part of the acct Confusing I know but it's how I cut down on chances of losing all my money while deployed Well synchrony was unforgiving Even though I had no past due balance, no maxed out balance and ready to pay the card off, they didn't want to hear it They said there was no way in hell it will be turned on The supervisor was a jerk and unprofessional So needless to say my amazon card excitement is gone

I will be closing all of my accounts owned by SynchronyI called to ask about the interest rate on one card that is ridiculously high as I have good credit, have always been a good customer and I was told they don't negotiate lower ratesWell then I won't be using you anymore

I was forced to have an account with this bank Aspen Dental was the mayor collector of the loan Didn't asked for it Back on that day was approved instantly The credit approved plus taxes plus interest was divided by the yeas ( month length of the loan ) The monthly payment was set to be taken from my checking account Never ever the payments were late The loan went one more year from the time planed No answer to this My account was closes in good standing with this bank, the day of the last payment (9/10/15) I got a letter in the mail telling me : "" my account has been closed ""Due to my credit history And they posted their decision on the three mayor credit companies in the USA Adding bad points to my credit report , that I've been trying very hard to clear up for the last past ten years after identity theft Why they did it ? My consumer credit protection act/privacy has been broken Synchrony is by far the worst bank I have dealt withThe customer service is appallingExpect very long wait times for phone calls, no online chat capability, and they don't respond at all to emails with inquiries or requesting helpIt's not worth the extra 0.20% you might get in interest

These guys are is I received a letter that the name was changingAnd the first thing they did was run a credit check on me and lower my spending limitA prime example example of corporate America I will be paying them off this month and closing the account

I get paid the third week of the month This bill is due the third week of the month My bill is $a month I am disabled Late charge in August total $ I paid $in August, then paid two weeks later, $to be applied to September (Getting one month ahead so that I won't have late charges anymore) They charged me $this time Said that I cannot send payments in more than days ahead because the computer doesn't know there is a bill yet for September Trying to do the right thing, and cannot get out of this hole I am not trying to cheat I am trying to pay ahead So they think I paid two payments in August and applied them both to August Other charge cards do not do this I pay all bills when I get my check, but have to remember 'don't pay these guys, just save the $65, which is hard to do and mark the calendar to pay days before the due date Stupid

Synchrony has ruined my life They took everything over from GE and started sending me letters about increasing available balances a few months ago WITHOUT ME REQUESTING OR ASKING FOR CREDIT LINE INCREASES! NOW their sending me letters that they are lowering everything even lower than before the increases!! Who does this?? I've never been treated like this! They took over I don't know how any of my accts and are now manipulating them back and forth and even though for years I've paid on time, they take away what credit lines I had left with them!! NEVER been treated like this!! CARECREDIT is the biggest hit to me it helped save one of my cats lives and I had always paid my promotionals off on time so no interest, then I had a $radiation therapy I had to do and it saved my cats life...I couldnt pay the promotional in time and was willing to pay the interest $for months worth of interest on $1500!! and now $a month and they took $of credit away and left me with $now I have nothing to lean on if something happens....all for never being delinquent they just make their decisions to give and take money away from you with their 'REVIEWS'...I NEED MY CARE CREDIT!!!!!!!!

When this was just GE bank, everything was great I used my carecredit for my pets I only had a $limit and always paid off my bil on time and all the time When this it company took it over, I received a letter that because of my credit report as a whole, they closed my accountI wrote to them and they stood by their decision Well their decision is itic If a customer is paying you all the time, on time, then why on Earth would you further tarnish their credit report by closing an account I depended on this for my pets It really came in handy and this is just unfair They suck and I am glad to see that they are getting MANY complaints on their ridiculous practices YOU SUCK!

I paid my bills on time yet they tacked on a $late feeIt takes them 24-HOURS to post updates / payments to your accountThey win first prize for the all-time worst automated customer "service" system everYou have to answer so many questions to get through the phone tree, and then they waste your time giving you your account information that you already have, or that is not current that you end up screaming "CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!' into your phone a hundred times before you ever get to talk to a "customer service:" agentThey excel at customer dis-service4.Their link for customer service CHAT on their website doesn't workAs soon as I can verify my account is paid in full I will cancel my card and be thankful I will never ever have to deal with them againThey give less than a rat's [redacted] about their customers

I financed a motorcycle through them that was totaled shortly afterI got a settlement check and called to deposit it and was told everything went through and I got a Confirmation letter in the mail weeks latermonths later I got a letter in the mail that my bike was going to be repossessed and that my account was being sent to collections because I haven't paideven though I had paid the loan amount offThey waited months to tell me that the check didn't go through, the check is now expired and my broker is telling me that the check has indeed been depositedSynchrony bank was very rude on the phone and the manager hung up on me when I asked to speak with herShe said it was not their problem because they've called me times a day for the past three monthsNo voicemails just an automated call times a daySeriously? So now I'm out $and synchrony bank simply says it's not their problem

I pay my bill montlyIt's always late because I have to pay my rent firstI pay the stupid outrageous $a month late fee because of thisThat doesn't stop them from constantly harassing me for paymentThey call my phone over times per dayI had to block their number so my phone wouldn't ring while I'm at workWhen I make my payment, I always pay more than the minimum amount However, their late fees keep me from ever paying them offI don't mind paying for what is due, but work with me hereMy rent comes at the 1st of the month and I am trying to pay you offStop harassing me! I've shown that I'm good for the payment each month Stop punishing me for trying to pay you!

Synchrony Bank bought the GE Capital revolving credit Master Card that I had with Sam's ClubI've been a member of Sam's club since This is the highest APR at 22.9% that I have and I called to see about getting it loweredI have excellent credit and have had my APR's lowered easily on other cardsI'm forced to retire due to medical reasons both for myself and wife and really was hoping to lower my paymentsThe first representative I talked with flatly said no and offered to transfer me to someone elseThat someone else was located in the Philippines and couldn't help eitherI asked them to have someone who worked stateside in the bank and a decision maker to call me, but that hasn't happened nor I doubt that it will!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and UNWILLING TO HELP!

When I opened my accounts online I tried to make my transfers but I couldn't the system told me I needed a code I try calling for three days they never answer until they do it was a Horrible customer service! I waited about minutes to speak to a repI only wanted to talk to a rep to tell them to simply CLOSE MY ACCOUNTS! The rep told me she was busy assisting other customers on closing their accounts that it was the reason she took to long to help me hehe I finally close my accounts thank god!

I FIND IT BOTH INTERESTING AND HIGHLY DISGUSTING THAT I HAVE HAD (2) RECENT EXPEREINCES WITH SYNCHRONY BANK AND BOTH WERE NEGATIVEBOTH TIMES (WITHIN WEEKS OF EACH ATTEMPT) I WAS REFUSED VERIFICATION OF MY CREDIT ACCOUNT FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF PAYING ON MY ACCOUNTTHE SECOND TIME I CALLED WAS AFTER MY PAYMENT (4X'S THE MINIMUM) WAS REFUSED BECAUSE OF THE ACCOUNT #I WAS TOLD THE ACCOUNT # WAS THE SAME AS MY CREDIT CARD AND THAT APPEARS NOT TO BE THE CASESINCE MY PAYMENT WAS RETURNED FOR LACK OF THE CORRECT ACCT#, MY ATTEMPT WAS TO CALRIFY THE ACCOUNT # AND SEND THE PAYMENTTHEY REFUSED YET AGAININ THIS TIME OF FRAUD AND NO-PAYMENT OF DEBT THERE IS NO REASONABLE EXPLANATION OF REFUSAL TO ASK KEY VERIFICATION QUESTIONS AND GET MY ACCOUNT CURRENT SO I CAN PAY THEM...NOW IT WILL BE NEXT WEEK BECAUSE OF THE WEEKENDNEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH SUCH IS WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE

All I can say is horrible!!! The are typical of any financing company, poor customer service once you sign the dotted lineI have called multiple times to determine where I can use their financing options and have received different answersThe comical part is, every answer contradicts their website answersPretty sad when they can even tell you where you can use their product I would advise Synchrony to develop a better training program for customer service reps and allow more transparency into their operations All in all, I would not use their service again

These people are crooksGot my motorcycle loan for Kawasaki through them, 0.00% APRBy the time the bill arrives, you have about days to send the payment before it's "late"I sent it the next day a few times, from CO to GAHow long can that possibly take? I always see the check posted to my bank account either on the day its due or a few days afterThen they hit me with a $late feeI'm positive that they do this on purpose since my loan has no interest paymentsTotal scam! Do yourself a favor and avoid these ss!

I have vowed never to do business with Synchrony Bank I had two interest free loans for Ashley Furniture and Rooms to Go for a year When I sent my last payment to both accounts at the end of September, Synchrony Bank managed to put both payments into one account instead of two, so I still got billed form Rooms to Go I even faxed the cancelled check to Synchrony, and over a month later the problem was not corrected Instead of transferring the payment into the correct account, they sent me a check for the amount I wrote, and when I called today, they still want to charge me more than the balance I owed, for THEIR MISTAKE!

I had a Lowes card that Synchrony Bank took overAlways paid on time and paid more than minimumSince Synchrony Bank took over my limit has been dropped 2x each by $Dont know why my credit score has to do with my paying my bill on timeWent on line and closed account

My wife bought a bed set at Sleepys & was setup for 0% payments through Synchrony FinancialShe made seven payments starting in December After June no further monthly statements were receivedEarly this month she received a "collection type" call saying payments were overdueWhen asked what happened to the monthly statements it was stated the last were returned undelivered which they obviously disregarded since at that time they had the phone number which they waited months to use to "collect" listed aboveOdd since the address never changed and finally the paperwork requested during multiple calls was received at the same address with no problemThey called times with a discussion about the same thing & finally ,each time, saying statements would be sentThese discussions were extremely lengthy since the staff and one time a supervisor were all in the category of English as a second language personnelSummation is They had received more than 80% of the loan and then "dropped the ball" blaming my wife for their incompetenceThe balance has been posted & we await a paid in full statement
