Service that was agreed upon is now being disregardedI am now being left to handle the issue on my own We originally contacted the services of Terminix in Plainview, NY due to a termite situation in our homeAn inspector came and suggested we put termite stations around the house, which was done at the cost of approximately 2,000$Despite the termite stations, we continue to experience problems around the houseWe have currently knocked down and put back up a wall in our dinning roomA couple of months we noticed some termite action in the front entrance of our home, in which we found termites all along the entrance floorDuring the summer of 2016, we had the inspectors come and spray the outside of our home when we replaced the front sidingWe did this to help prevent any more termite activity, but yet we still keep experiencing problemsSeveral weeks ago, we again noticed termites crawling along the walls and towards the ceilingWe called the Terminix office again and the

They have failed to honor their contract guarantee They repeadaly miss appointmentsTheir salesman lied to me from Hus first visitAfter my quote I told him I'd like to check around..he said they are the only pest control who offers any type of financingTwo weeks later after they missed several appointments I called another company and tthey said they have financing options as does other company's! My home is being run over by rodents and these people are seeming to do all they can to assist is the destruction! I have done everything they requested and I still have a problem.thus has been going on since July and nothing g is improving!!

The techs were wonderful however I called to cancel after my June payment a year after services had begun The women I spoke to said she would adjust the account but I could still use the services until September as it falls under their followup guaranteeI had Terminex come out on two separate occasions after speaking to the rep but prior to my next billing date This was still for the original issue of ants we were having and they continued to bill me in September and refused to refund me The customer service was terrible and extremely rude I would not recommend their servicesCustomer ID: [redacted]

Lied about the price, keep billing me for what I do not owe, and will not return phone calls or emails I signed up with Terminix for service several months agoI was quoted $plus tax which would be for three monthsThen, I would be billed in months for the same amountA month later, I received a bill for $I called and they told me the initial $plus tax was for one month only because it was a set up feeI was never told that on the phone when I set up the serviceI have called this place twice since then and they said that they had to escalate the call to someone else and I would have a return phone callNo one ever calls back or responds to my emails

The time slot I was given was not met, and I was never contacted that it will be missed or that it would be changed by the branch manager I made a service request on August 1, for the following day August 2,in the time slot of am to pm $were charged on my debit card for this service on Aug over the phoneMy home had a significant flea infestation and were in need of immediate treatment and I made this very clear at the point of creating the appointmentOn the day of scheduled service, Aug 2, we waited until about 1:45pm to call back and verify our serviceService rep mentioned they couldn't get a hold of technician after a minute hold, and stated had left a voicemail to call us whenever possible to re-establish ETA to our homeWe waited until about 3pm to call back since we had no returned calls on this matterAt pm we called back with the same issue and spoke to [redacted] about the no call no show of the technician and was placed on yet another min

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with and that includes the cable companyThey make appts without informing the customer, and don't show up for half of the appts they makePlease don't try customer service because you will spend hours on the phone only to hear "I'm sorry" over and over but no resolution to any of the problems, and the problems have been manyMy advice is look elsewhere

I have repeatedly requested that Terminix not send me texts - I have had a problem with delayed texts arriving at odd hours during the night! I have called the local business and even their head officeI have filled in numerous post pest treatment surveys requesting that I no longer receive textsNo one at Terminix seems able or interested in addressing this simple request It really says a lot about their attitude towards their customers though - as reflected in the numerous other negative comments on this website

on june terminix was given a check # [redacted] for $to perform terminix treatmentthe cost was $i have received an invoice every month then on I have called, sent copy of the cash check and they still keep sending past due invoicesI don't know what else to do with this companythe back of the cash check shows that it was cashed by Terminix

So almost exactly a year ago, my husband and I came home to a huge flea infestationWe had removed our cats, and went on vacation for a week, thinking the problem would subsideOf course, in our panic to get rid of the fleas, we called the first company I could think of to get rid of the fleas: TerminixThey came on 8/and treated the inside and outside of our home for pestsWe agreed over the phone for a 'subscription' service, so that we could get a slight discount for future treatments, which we were told we would needOne year of Terminix's services, and we found ourselves living in a house with a flea infestation once again--only this time we have $less in our pocket So I have a few significant complaints with the company, and have requested a full refundSince we have not received an answer, I think I have to make my case here Here's a summary: 1) We weren't notified, verbally or in written contract, what we were signing up for with this companyWe didn't know we were locking ourselves into a 1-year contract2) We weren't notified what exact services we were getting with this contractWe were not told that the actual treatment of our home would cost us money on top of our 'subscription/contract' monthly fee3) We have dealt with a few technician and scheduling issues, including technicians just not showing up, the company scheduling a technician for 7-9pm, and technicians inspecting our home letting us know they were there4) Because of the negligence of the company to withhold this information, we have almost as bad of a flea infestation as when we started services My first complaint is that my husband was never given the details of this 'subscription' serviceNo written contract, no verbal explanation that we were entering a binding contractmonths after receiving spotty services, we decided to cancel our subscription (we had services in August, then nothing until November)That was when we first were told by company representatives that we had signed up for a year-long contract, and the cancellation fee would be greater than just continuing the contractWe were angry about this, but thought the treatments would still be somewhat beneficial My second complaint is the unclear communication of what services we would receiveWe were assured at first that we'd receive a few months' of 'services' for pest control, to keep the fleas from returningOf course, we assumed that this meant the inside of our homeyear into our 'contract', we were told in a chat session with a representative that all along, the customer was expected to schedule 'extra' treatments to get the inside of the home sprayed...this was NEVER explained at the beginning of our servicesThe representative also said that we could easily schedule these 'extra services online or by phoneI have thoroughly checked our online Terminix account, and cannot find any place to request 'extra' servicesWe have voiced our confusion about why our home wasn't being sprayed on the inside (via phone conversations), but was never provided a clear answer before our last chat session I use quotation marks around the word extra, because my husband and I assumed our monthly payments were covering treatments inside our homeNope! The $we have paid actually only covers an inspection of the outside of our homeAccording to our most recent chat session, the technician does not need to attempt to contact us at allWhile I think our subscription fees pay for extra services, there is about a $discrepancy between our service invoices versus what is being taken from our bank accountSo we are still confused about what services we should have been receiving this whole time, and how our payments were supposed to workAs stated before, I have never seen any written receipt or proof of our contract with Terminix From the online ticket receipts from the company, it looks like our home has actually been treated inside a whopping three times in the last year of serviceThe three (actually four) times we have called to ask about getting our home sprayed, no representative has taken the time to actually explain that every single month we wanted treatment inside we would need to call customer service to schedule itUntil the end of our contract 3) We have had some serious miscommunication with the technicians coming to our homeWhile we have paid our subscription fee every month, the technicians only come out every couple of monthsFor us it was 08/2017,11/2017,2/2018,4/2018, 5/2018, 7/2018, and 8/The times when technicians were actually there to spray the inside of our home, we heard varying information about how long we should stay awayUntil May 2018, we were told that we would need to stay out of the home for hoursIn May, a technician told me the treatment was totally safe after minutesBefore then, we had been told by another technician that it was safe about an hour after spraying, but I erred on the side of caution because I was pregnant/had a newborn baby This 1-hour wait time was a problem, when we found ourselves waiting for a technician to spray our home between 7-9pmThis had been scheduled by the company as the soonest service date availableWe had a renter, and I was pregnantWhen 9pm passed, we called customer service, only to be told by an impatient representative that it was not the technician's faultWe had to wait a few more days to actually receive treatmentIn July, our technician just didn't show up at allThe company responded quickly to figure out what happened, and another technician came to spray--however, we still kept the no-show technician for this monthNot surprisingly, both my husband and I were home during the time he was scheduled, but he never let us know he was thereHe wrote a report stating he inspected and treated outside our home, but I am doubtful he actually came, honestlyMy husband and I were especially frustrated by this, because we wanted to make sure we spoke to the technician to ask to spray insideThis was when we called customer services again, and were just told that we were supposed to schedule online or by phone for inside treatmentWell, since my month old baby was getting bitten by fleas, I asked to schedule something as soon as possibleThe representative stated the soonest would be a week from when I calledNeedless to say, we just paid $for a local pest control sprayer to come instead I write all this, wanting to make it clear we treated our cats for fleas during this year (Frontline and Capstar), and tried our best to maintain contact with the company when we needed clarification, as well as maintain a clean homeWe were desperate for pest control, and feel we have been taken advantage ofThis past year has been a constant source of stress, as my husband and I tried to figure out how we still had fleas after so many treatments Because we were never provided access to our contract or the terms and conditions of our services, we are asking for a refund from the company

I complained because I was off from work specifically for this purposeSo then they sent over an exterminator named *** [redacted] explained that we needed to put more things in bags before he could beginHe said he would reschedule with us for the 26thOn the 26th two new exterminators showed upThey came unpreparedThey didn't bring any of the bed covers as promisedThey treated the house supposedlyI say supposedly because we still had the issues once they leftThey promised to bring the bed covers later that daySo I waited, and waited, and waitedFinally I realized no one was coming to bring the bed cove

Extremely poor service. Two techs came out on a Saturday and removed some cob webs and sprayed a little chemical. On the site for no more then 2 hours. Want to charge $3000 for $300 to $400 worth of work. This company is nothing short of fraud. Should be ran out of the country.

The company treated my home for bed bugs and damaged multiple pieces of furniture. I contracted Terminix to treat my home for bed bugs. The contract was for multiple treatments so they could ensure the problem was resolved completely. They came out for the first treatment and treated my home. On the second treatment, the same technician that came out the first time showed up again. I left my home and he completed the second treatment. When we arrived back home we had found that the technician took a knife and cut large holes in the bottom of multiple pieces of my furniture. I attempted to contact the supervisor multiple times and never got a response and eventually contacted the branch manager. I explained the situation and told them that I needed to open a claim for damaged furniture. He told me just to cut the bottom off of my furniture completely so that it isn't hanging down. I finally am getting my life back to semi normal and realized that the claim I requested to get the furnit

Is it true or is it not true that anyone who is a true fan of a very well known entertainer will take advantage of an empty seat at an arena at their concert? I was attending the last Prince concert at the Oakland Arena on March 4th It was so exciting I can almost swear this concert was suppose to be magical for meI was going to get the chance to be close to the most amazing artist of my time I call Prince, The Magic Man! I wanted to dance and noticed a woman dancing on the floorI call over the security asked how I could gain access to the floor next to the lady that was on the floor dancing for me to be able to dance and enjoy myself also? Prince is an entertainer that everyone knows makes you wanna danceWell there was nowhere to danceThe security told me to go up to the box office and upgrade my ticketSo in anticipation to go to the floor and dance while prince is performing I run all the way up and out of the arena to the corridor to get an upgradeI finally locate the box office missing the concert I go up ask the box office to upgrade my ticket and what happensThe box office tells me their are no upgraded tickets for this concertWell what about that lady down there? Horrible company. Tried to cancel after first visit because they were not effective. They wanted an additional 200 to cancel. I was already mad I paid 100 and got nothing in return and they were asking for another 200 to cancel? I don't think so. They turned me over to collections. Guess what is? You won't see that money ever. In fact reviews like this one cost you money. Take a look at your business practices and join us in 2016. Also stop sending people out to knock on doors and bug people to sign up for your crap service. You people are the real pests. Who do I hire to get rid of you?

I have tried contacting your Alterra times in the last month to cancel ALL service with themThe only way to do so is via a phone number - locally XXX-XXX-XXXXI leave my name, address, and phone number and no one ever respondsI called Terminix, who acquired Alterra, last yearThey were unhelpful - even rude - and repeated told me to call Alterra since none of their customer databases have been shared with Terminix (as of May 26, 2016)I provided my Alterra account number, phone number, name, and address, but Terminix had none of the information.Terminix would also not provide any other means of contacting Alterra as I requested at a minimum an email address or phone number of an executive who could take action (Terminix: "We don't have any of that information")I am FURIOUS as they have also billed me for a service that I have declined via voicemail Product_Or_Service: Alterra Pest Control Order_Number: XXXXXXX Account_Number: XXXXXX

Terminix purchased the company A [redacted] in The HOA I manage terminated A [redacted] due to poor service and bad billing practices in January Certified mail was sent, and received by A [redacted] terminating their services Later that year, after Terminix purchased A [redacted] , we received bills for months after we had terminated services After several phone calls and letters to Terminix I was told that there was nothing they could do about it, because these were bills "in the books" they took over from A [redacted] After explaining the entire thing to them again they asked that I provide proof that it was terminated, which I did I emailed the rep the letters sent both regular and certified mail, and also the signed slip from the postal service showing that A [redacted] had received the termination letter I also emailed the letter I sent Terminix several months prior to the conversation which explained the same thing (The letter to Terminix also included the letters to A [redacted] and the signed slip from the postal service.) The email I sent with those attachments was sent with return receipt requested Outlook notified me that not only did my email get sent, but it was received and opened by the intended recipient I never received a response from that rep Despite all these efforts over the past months I AGAIN received a past due notice from Terminix I just spent another minutes on the phone with a rep and still do not have the matter resolved It has been passed on to someone else who is supposed to call me back Without taking legal action, I am at a loss of what else to do I do not like posting poor reviews, but have tried all other remedies to have this matter resolved, unsuccessfully
