I paid $125 to terminix to have a bed bug problem worked on. The tenant at the unit located at XXXXX [redacted] did not cooperate with the t technician. I have tried on numerous occassions to get my refund from terminix. I have been told by terminixx that they sent the check out to me. other times I have been told it takes 3 weeks to get the refund issued. I have reached out to terminix since August of 2016 to no avail.

My Terminix bill went up $113 with no prior notice or reason after 10 years of my prompt payments and no claims. When I finally contacted Customer Service they told me that it was due to more claims in my area. I then got an estimate from another company and their policy was a 10 percent cap on yearly increases beginning with a yearly cost lower than mine with Terminix. The only reason I did not use the other company's service was because the initial investment was over $1000. I am on a fixed income and had just paid for other home repairs so I paid the additional $113 to Terminix for another year of service. Then today, a service person showed up at my door to inspect with no advance notice. They have made it very clear that they don't care about their customers.

I called Terminix to see what their prices are they had one where they would come out time and a month later they would comeback for recheck to see if I had any bugs left which I didI told them when calling I would be paying cashWhich I paid on the first visitThe teck took the money and kept it on him for over a week I did not want to give them a account number but they said I would need to.when the tech that came out didn't turn the money in I was charged on my account for the money I had already paid the tech for that is why I paid cash They overdraw my account and call to tell them what happenThat cause me to have a overdraw on my accountThey took care of that When the month was a little over they return for the second check he did his job and leftSaid to me if I needed him again call his number which I never didIn July I was in the hospital and got a text that they where on their way to my home I told them I was not home and not to do the work I didn't orderThey came anyway and said they did the outside of my home how do I know if this took place or if they even done the work I was in the hospital After I thought that didn't come I got a bill in the mail stating that I owed a bill Well it was for the same amount I paid for visitsI tried for months to get this straighten out the main office gave me the managers cell number I called it many times with no returning callsFinally I called and the person from the main office said she would call the manager she came back to me and said he would not drop the chargeNotice he could not call me to tell me himself the main office didI ask for higher management for some unknow reason they didn't handle that problemI explained to them I was a senior citizen it did not bother him at all I also told him I could not pay it so they said it would go to collections.He could not talk to me himself to my face so he has someone else to do his job I would not recommend this business to anyone I guess all of us stating no return calls are making it up

Terminix renewed my agreement despite the fact that I cancelled twice over the phone prior to the renewal
Terminix never completed my service properly during my initial one year period -- except for my initial service All remaining services during the year were not performed when they had agreed to (on Saturdays) and they never went in my backyard despite having a code for entry
Then Terminix renewed my service for another year after I cancelled my service in separtae phone calls -- one call on 4/14/and one in May
They now claim I owe them for additional one year of service & they call me and harass me frequently at work and at home
When I call Terminix transfers me from home office to branch and from branch to home office etc when I try to resolve this over the phoneThey will not transfer me to a supervisor upon requests I have spoken to at least different people regarding this matter in the last weeks -- but not once to a manager as requested

I moved into my house in August and decided I would go with TerminixI found out that my attic needed to have installation, so the Terminix technician mentioned that was a service they offered, well, I got the service done, only to find out later in March that the technician had not completed the job (no wonder my heating bill was high) - unacceptableSo, today (3/28/17) they are back to finish what they startedI also called Terminix to find out if I would or could be compensated for the inconvenience and the spike in my heating bill during the winter monthsI was told the Manager would get back to me (this was on 3/25/17) on Monday, March 27, and I have yet to hear from anyone - that's very bad customer serviceI personally think Terminix should stick to Pest Control - very good serviceThis whole installation process is a nightmareI think I will start looking for a new pest control company

We recently bought an old farmhouse so we decided to use Terminix instead of another companyThis was a bad decision due to the house was infested with cockroaches and it causes asthma and allergies which my wife has We have called them numerous times they say they will be out the next day and they will not they want to call you back a couple days laterVery uncaring when you call them like it's not their problem even though you paid him $a month for a service that they do not doSo after multiple complaints and having them out here they put out roach traps which is now full sitting here with dead roaches no one's been out here we call them for help they say the calls back in a couple days during the holiday of Thanksgiving we had roaches running around in front of people very poor business and I highly recommend you go with *** pest control or another companyIf anyone ever ask I will recommend anyone other than this company they are unhelpful they do not care when you re

The way Terminix conducts business is deplorable, unethical, and unprofessionalAfter months of missed appointments, work not being done properly or not being done at all, and persistent evidence of rodents and insects in my house, the disrespect I received from branch manager, John R***, was the final straw
After signing up for service in June we still had evidence of mice months laterWhen the technician failed to show for his scheduled appointment in September and we still had evidence of mice, I contacted the branch office requesting a refundSince my husband had to seal all of the holes himself because the technicians missed them (or as I was later told just didn't bother to close them) I did not understand what I was paying forI emailed the following complaints to John R***, Branch Manager:
Sloppy workmanship, tripped the wires on my AC unit during their first visit causing it to short out and requiring me to hire technicians to come and repair it
Failure for the branch office to take care of the $discount I was promised
At our first exclusion check up the bait was untouchedThe technician laughed and told me "We must have scared them away." I then proceeded to show him numerous holes leading into the house that they missed during the initial visitHe told me he would "try" to fix those holes but they were "too hard to reach." My husband ended up having to seal up most of those holes himself, because the tech refused to do it
At our second exclusion check up, they did not go upstairs to check the trap in the attic
No one showed up for our third exclusion checkup and no one answered any of my phone calls to reschedule, which prompted me to request termination of my contract
The raccoon fencing was installed improperly and a month lateAlso, the raccoon cage was not removed for over two monthsI was told it would be removed after two weeks
In October, after a week of zero responses to my email, I finally was able to contact the branch manager, John R***He informed me that the only option was a re-inspectionThe company sent a technician to my house without informing me, and when the tech showed up he had no knowledge of why he was sentWe obviously had to reschedule and upon re-inspection in October of 2015, the technician informed me that his previous partner (who conveniently was no longer with the company) had not performed his job and left our crawlspace completely unsealedHe told me he would determine in November where the mice were coming fromCome November, no one showed up (again) for the scheduled appointmentThey called an hour and a half after their time slot to say they were running lateWhen they finally showed up two days later, they told me there was still evidence of mice in both basement traps and they once again hoped to determine where they were coming from next monthFast forward to March and no one ever came to my house again since that appointment in November
In January I submitted another request to terminate my serviceOne of the managers Brian Zanoni called me on January I quickly returned his call but it went to voicemailOver the next two months (Jan8-Mar1) I called both Brian and John over a dozen times and left them both over a dozen messages
After two months of no response, John R*** finally returned my call on Friday March during dinnertimeDuring this conversation he told me at best he could only refund 50% of my money, and that he refused to discuss the service issues with me because at this point, to quote him directly, he was "no longer making any money off me." He also lied to me and said the technicians told him we did not have any evidence of mice anymore, however the last time a tech was at my house he told me there was evidence of mice in two different trapsThen he hung up on me while I was still in the middle of speaking to him
After email exchanges with John, since he refused to answer any additional phone calls, he finally refunded only 50% of my moneyHowever, he was supposed to credit my account for an insecticide service as well because the technician never showed up, yet I received a call a month later asking for that moneyAlso, a technician came to pick up the traps in mid-March and did report they had been untouched, however when I pointed out that the techs had missed several holes leading into the home from an foot bay window, they did not verbally respond
Buyer beware, and do not give this company any of your moneyThere are several other competitors out there that will actually do the work if you do your researchI learned that lesson the hard way

I dealt with three (3) scheduled appointments and no-shows by TerminixOn the 3rd appt date I finally received a call from Dwayne in the Florissant OfficeHe was courteous and professional, but explained that the technician slated to perform the service (Eric - Maryland Heights ofc) told him my address was "on his schedule for pm to pm" which could not be correct, since Dwayne had the correct time am to am on his schedule It appears Eric arbitrarily changed the time of my appointment to a time that better suited him without advising meDwayne informed me that Eric would be calling me to confirm whether he could be at my address before amBut I received no callThey are beyond unprofessionalI am using another company for my service

Sales person charged us $for service worth $ Sales name is Rich Bruno Then the company renewed contract without our consent
Rich Bruno responded to our call to Terminix in May about termites on our propertyAfter inspecting our property, he recommended putting bait in the ground and charged us $on our debit card The price of the service we received is normally $ MrBruno took advantage of our situation When Terminix tried to renew our contract in May 2017, I called to cancel the service and was assured the service was cancelled and any bait holders on the property would be remmoved The company came and put bait out in the holders anyway without our consent and did not inform us that they were here We received a bill on June 10, for $for this year's service Our sales contract number is XXXXXXXX and our cr is XXXXXXXX

Terminex was hired to perform quarterly pest control service inside and outside my home I informed them that I did not want the service performed outside only, therefore, I only wanted service when I would be home to let them in They performed a service in October Then they claim that they showed up again on December (less than a quarter and on Christmas Day) and sprayed the snow outside my home Since I was not home, I do not know that they showed up and they did not perform service inside the home I contacted customer service several times when they charged my credit card I was told each time that customer service could not help me, I must speak to the regional manager They emailed the regional manager to contact me, however, I was never contacted to resolve the issue After becoming very frustrated, I contacted my credit card company, Chase, who initiated an investigation, requesting Terminex prove their claim against me Terminex did not respond and the matte

Requested a home inspection and no one showed up or returned any of my calls
I called Terminix to set up a home inspection and it was scheduled for July no one showed up or calledI called them again and was told that the service manager was going to contact me about the issue, he never calledI called again to schedule an appointment and was told that an inspection had been scheduled for August 27,but no one notified me of the scheduleI rescheduled to a different date as for the date they had me scheduled for did not meat my scheduleI rescheduled for August 22,and no one showed up or called

We have been using Alterra Pest control in Cincinnati Oh since May of last year We specifically called them for the mice we have in our attic They come every quarter and throw a few pellets in the attic and set traps in the garage attic, but the mice are still having a field day in our atticWe here them on a nightly basis I have recently started having them come every week to check the traps, but they will not put any more tabs in the inside house attic Terminix has recently bought them out and came to do a free home evaluation and said they Alterra is not doing much to get rid of the mice they should be doing more, but Terminix will not honor the contract we have, so that is upsetting too This entire year that we have been paying for them to get rid of our problem has been a big waste of money and they will not allow us to end our contract without charging a very big fee, so we are stuck until May Terminix did give us an estimate on how much they will charge us to get

Cancellation contracts with this firm is trying to pull teeth from a lionI had sold a property that I no longer reside at or have anything to do with in Qof and put a termination through with Terminix (I still have the written confirmation from them)Between then and now, they've still attempted to initiate some form of service at that address under my name (great way to increase the legal liability guys)

Description of billing and service expectations is misleading and deliberately unclear
I called Terminix for service in June of for an ant problemI agreed to a quarterly treatment since I wasn't sure one treatment was going to do itThis agreement was made with the assurance that future appointments would be scheduled with me in advance and that canceling would be no trouble

It has been months since I called Terminix to repair some old termite damage that no one ever found in the thirty years that I have had a warranty
