The response that the "dusting" is or routine is not satisfactoryI have been advised by multiple concrete contractors that this problem is the result of too much water in the concrete at the time the driveway was pouredI have also been advised that this chalking problem will get worse not better over time unless a sealant is appliedAs far as the "multiple professionals" inspecting the driveway, I am not aware that anyone looked at the driveway other than the representative for Standard PacificAs a homeowner of multiple homes in the past, I personally have never experienced this problem with new concrete, and in this case, I would have thought that this problem would have resolved itself since its construction over one year agoCan you tell me when I can expect this chalking problem to end? I am not the only homeowner experiencing this problem in the subdivision and I am sure they would appreciate that information as well

As you can see they don’t care about customer satisfaction or doing what is right. They appear driven by one thing, corporate greed. CalAtlantic claims to keep the deposit for their damages, yet they have increased the price of the house a 2nd time to $417,They were going to sell the house to me for $383,They are now making $34,more in profit (9.0%), but they claim they have to keep my deposit because they have damagesHere is the website with the listing at the bottom of the pageCambridge IIE http://www.calatlantichomes.com/find-your-new-home/***.htmlI attempted to negotiate a compromise and sent their sals person a letter to forward to their office and was told: "I'm not going to bother sending this in." I had even suggested a compromise of them refunding only half of the $11,deposit to no avail I feel that I have been very reasonable under these circumstances It is unfortunate that this has set back my plans for purchasing a house for quite some time, now that my deposit money is gone]

This is unbelievableLooks like company is not at all taking valid warranty issues seriously including the vandalism by their maintenance staffAs we have said before, all the issues we have reported in the complaint are still openNo action have been taken by local maintenance staff and no one contacted us after filing this complaint even though we have tried contacting the local maintenance staff over the phone (which no one picks up) and leaving voice messagesWe are now tired of trying this business to get warranty issues resolved after our multiple attemptsThis is the last time we are responding through Revdex.comWe have already sent a written mail with all the issues and inspection report from licensed inspector on Oct-26-as required by the law to resolve the issues in good faithWe will move forward with legal action against this company on Dec-26-2015.We are also reaching out to *** (CCed in the response as well) to let them know about our issue

The company failed to honor its oral agreement and unilaterally decided that the matter was "closed." This is heavy-handed treatmentThe company knows it had and continues to have the benefit of grossly unequal bargaining powerThe Company made a hollow offer of cancelling the contract and refunding my earnest money, knowing this would be an unacceptable solution since I am already so far down the path of buying this home with loan documents and other commitments already in placeI am sorry to say this does not appear to be an isolated incidentA quick internet search on "*** Homes" or "Cal Atlantic" homes will reveal that problems with quality and service are ubiquitous, and not just in MinnesotaI should have done more research before agreeing to buy this homeMy advice to buyers reading this is to do your homework on the company before you agree to anythingAlso, make sure you document in writing EVERY agreement made by ***/Cal Atlantic, no matter how smallThere are several homebuilders that offer much better quality and customer service than a gigantic corporation that knows it can strongarm individualsAlso, there are several people trying to get together class action lawsuits against *** and Cal Atlantic so, if you have been aggrieved, don't think you are alone and need to fight the battle alone.

As a policy we do not write contingent contracts on completed inventory homes. *** received a check on this home with the intent of obtaining approval of management to write a contingent contract on this home. Prior to obtaining this approval another buyer which was
not contingent toured the home and wrote a contract on the home. We did offer Mr*** a reduced price on another home in the community. Mr*** was not satisfied with the pricing and declined to purchase

The painter completed the 1-year service on Monday, May 9thWe consider this matter resolved

CalAtlantic Homes caused the necessary repairs to be made for the issues that the customer identified and replaced her dryer. CalAtlantic is not legally required, or willing, to extend the customer's warranties, pay for a third-party home inspection, or pay her for her time. CalAtlantic
considers this matter closed

The customer's complaint relates to a matter covered by a manufacturer warranty from GEGE met its commitments to the customer by originally repairing her washer and dryer, as the customer acknowledgesFront loading washers on a second floor level may experience bouncing and vibration depending on the type of load in the machineThe appliances the customer has now work perfectly according to GEGE was trying to assist the customer by offering a top load washer that would minimize the bouncingCalAtlantic’s understanding is that when the customer stated she was going to sell the offered replacement washer and dryer, GE retracted their offerCalAtlantic considers this matter closed

We performed repairs this week on the 4th. Our team spoke to the customer to let them know that the two items remaining will be completed soonOne is being done today, siding repair, the other is a defect in a sink which has been ordered and is schedule for the 18th
