A detailed response to the consumer is attached. In your complaint, you indicated that you have been attempting to get in contact with someone at MSB for months. MSB records indicate that you contacted our office on the morning of March 21, During this interaction, you were
assisted with a payment as well as provided details on reinstating your driving privilegesDuring a subsequent interaction with a member of our management team on March 21st, details regarding the surcharge reduction programs were provided to you. In your complaint, you also made reference to the fact that you were unable to access your surcharge accounts on our websiteIn order to access online surcharge accounts, customers must enter their driver license or state issued identification numberAs you advised our agent, you do not have access to your identification number, and therefore you were previously not able to access your account information. Additionally in your complaint, you stated you would like the charges dropped because you were unable to attend a court hearingPlease be advised that MSB does not have the ability to dismiss any surcharge feesSurcharges are assessed in accordance with the Driver Responsibility Law; and are considered additional fines assessed by the State of TexasAdditional information can be found in Chapter of the Texas Transportation Code; Driver Responsibility Program or by visiting www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/drp.htm. I am rejecting this response because: Yes I was contacted and agreed but also told the rep to call me back no payment has been made, I wanted to wait until I got a response back from you A payment would solidify an agreement I will agree and begin paying when the remaining fees are removed from the accounts and I just pay for my toll usages No more and no less It's not right to ask this of me because I never got any correspondence until I got settled about six months ago I literally can't pay more than my usage but because I am responsible for them I have to But even paying these will be a hardship on my familyPlease remove the fees,have a rep contact me and we can go from there with getting me on a payment schedule
