that your company’s bank account was debited for anauthorized charge. MSB records indicate a member of our commercial department contactedyou October 21, 2016 to address your concerns and resolve the issue. We’re glad we wereable to locate the debit payment in question. As discussed on the call, the payment wasapplied to a 2008 Lexus, and was submitted online. You acknowledged the charge and statedthat this information had answered all your concerns.In your complaint, you also indicated your frustration when attempting to contact our call centerfor customer service. We apologize for the extensive hold time and for not contacting yousooner. MSB appreciates that you brought your concerns to our attention. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I appreciate your contacting me to get this resolved.  Unfortunately I am disappointed that it required me to contact the Revdex.com in order to get it resolved.  As a contractor for the great State of Texas I would hope that customer service within your company improves because of issues such as this one.  I can only imagine the number of people that may not have access to contact the Revdex.com online whom have experienced the same or more frustration.

Responsibility Surcharge Program.Your complaint indicates that you would like MSB to discontinue our current business practices.When the Texas Department of Public Safety receives information from a court that an individual has been convicted, a surcharge account is created. At that time, the individual is required to make monthly payments, or pay the full account balance to prevent driving privileges from being suspended. When MSB receives the payment(s), the information is forwarded to DPS, and the individual’s driving records are updated accordingly. If there is no payment submitted by the due date, that information is also forwarded to DPS and they will suspend the driving privileges until the surcharges are brought back into compliance status.At the time of a default, a surcharge suspension notice is sent via first class mail to the address on file. For the reference number listed above, a suspension notice was sent on July 14, 2012 to [redacted] [redacted]Please be advised that MSB does not have the ability to dismiss any charges. Surcharges are assessed in accordance with the Driver Responsibility Law; and are considered additional fines assessed by the State of Texas.Additionally, in your complaint you indicated your disputed amount at $20,000.00. MSB records indicate that you submitted two applications for surcharge reduction programs, which were both approved. The approval dates were on January 4, 2012 and July 8, 2015. The supervisor also provided directions on where and how to locate your newaccount information.Be advised that due to your previous surcharge payments, the remaining balance after the reduction wasapplied to your account is $0.00.Additionally, in your complaint you claim that every time you call, you’re told that a supervisor wouldcall you back and this never happens.MSB records indicate that the first time you were advised of a supervisor callback was on September 6,2016. On the call, you requested to speak with a supervisor. The agent with whom you spoke advisedthat a supervisor would call you back within 72 business hours at the phone number you provided. In order for MSB toreduce the surcharge amount owed, a surcharge reduction application must be completed and submittedto MSB either online or via standard mail. Applications are then reviewed in comparison with the Humanand Health Service poverty guidelines for reduction approval.There are two ways to apply for a surcharge reduction program; online or by mail. The timeframe foronline applications can take 10-14 business days for a response. The timeframe for applicationssubmitted by mail can take up to 60 days for a response.If you wish to submit an application, you may visit www.[redacted]. Under the‘To Apply’ section, the online and mail submission options are both offered.
