Dear Ms***,
Thank you for brining this to our attention and for being patient while we researched this complaint with The Home DepotFirst we'd like to explain who we are and what we doWe are called The Retail Equation and we are contracted by The Home depot to gather and store return data
The Retail Equation does not make any of The Home Depot's policies nor do we have control over any of The Home Depot's in store procedures
We have researched your denial at the Home Depot that occurred on June 24th, The reason for your denial was due to a high return rate with The Home DepotThe Home Depot does limit the returns they process at their stores, specifically for non-receipted items or receipted items that were purchased with store credit (any amount)The reason why you were placed on an additional day waiting period was due to your return rate with The Home DepotAlthough you hadn't made any returns with The Home Depot your return rate hadn't improvedYou may improve your return rate by purchasing and not returning
The Home Depot has temporarily (day window) re-established your ability to conduct returns starting July 3rd, Please keep in mind that The Home Depot does reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of merchandise at any time and for any reasonPlease visit The Home depot's website for detailed information on their return policy

Dear Ms***,
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to answer your questionsLike we mentioned before The Retail Equation does not make or implement any policies for The Home DepotAlso, The Home Depot does not provide us policies to follow either, The Retail Equation gathers and stores return data for The Home DepotWe understand that your return activity report (RAR) only shows two return attempts for the date of 3/12/14, bot were deniedLike we mentioned in our first response the reason for your denials was due to the high dollar non-receipted attemptThe Home Depot does have the right to limit or refuse to accept any return at anytime and for any reasonAt this point The retail Equation cannot change The Home Depot's decisionPlease feel free to visit The Home Depot's website and read up on their return policy and guidelines

Hello Mr***,
Thank you for you patience while we researched your return warning with Best BuyThe reason for the return warning and the day waiting period Best Buy placed you on was due to your return rateThe best way to lower your return rate with Best Buy is by purchasing and not
returningWe forwarded your complaint to Best Buy and per their request we have removed the waning from your fileAlso, by removing the warning you are no longer on a day waiting period for returns
We also researched the complaint against not receiving you Return Activity Report (RAR)Our records show that we have sent the RAR twice, once on July 14th and the second time on July 16thWe emailed your RAR to ***@interhell.net, without error on our sidePlease check your spam folders as it may have been accidently placed therePlease understand that The Retail Equation only gathers and stores return data for Best Buy and thus we don't make or write their policies
Thank you,
The Retail Equation

Dear Ms***,
Thank
you for reaching out with your concerns*** is able to accommodate your
request to have the *** transaction
***SPH removed from the Returns Activity
Report since the original purchase was located. *** can also make exceptions and authorize a non-receipted return that you attemptBy
calling TRE you can begin the dispute process to potentially have a
non-receipted return go through
*** has made changes to their non-receipted return policy and have placed some
limits*** understands that tightening a return policy is always a risk to
the client experience but *** has taken that into consideration before doing so
by providing email receipts, printed receipts, gift receipts, and receipt look
if you used your Beauty Insider account/Debit/Credit Card or made your purchase
online. With that said, just note that Sephoar's POS only keeps purchase
history in a rolling days
Please
be advised that it is best to shop with your receipt. Future
non-receipted returns are subject to not being approved in our systemRegards,
The Retail Equation

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[After much correspondence, I was allowed to return this one item but put on a list of no returns/exchanges for days I should not be on this list and want my name and personal information removed from their system All returns I have made were done within the guidelines for returns posted for *** *** and NONE were improper or fraudulent No one can tell me why I am on this list other than returns No where does *** *** state that after a specific number of returns a consumer will be put on this list and banned from making returns or exchanges The returns report I was given lists returns (not including the April one) but lists items is not correct I sent an explanation to ** *** (*** ***) of the four returns (copy attached)
Regards,
*** ***

Dear Consumer,
The reason for this denial was due to the non-receipted nature of the returnThe *** *** does limit the non-receipted returns they process at their stores, even if it's your first attempted returnPlease feel free to return your unwanted *** *** items to any The *** *** store before July 30thAfter the approval window expires The *** *** can still process your receipted returnsPlease keep in mind these helpful tips;
- Always keep your paper or electronic receiptThis speeds up the transaction time and makes your return a receipted return- The most effective way to prevent future denials is to use credit/debit cards or customer agreements for your in-store purchasesThis allows our cashiers the ability to use our Receipt Lookup functionality to locate your receipt on subsequent returns
- Store credits should be used minimally and as an exception onlyStore credits typically arise from prior non-receipted returnsReceipted returns where store credit was used on the original receipt are treated as non-receipted returns and are therefore subject to system approvalAlso, utilizing store credits issued to others can negatively impact your ability to make future non-receipted returns- If you are a contractor or a PRO customer, signing up for the PRO Xtra program can help you maintain your receipts online, receive electronic receipts and offer many additional benefitsIf you are interested in this program, please visit your local The *** *** store’s PRO desk

Dear Ms***,Please understand that The Retail Equation is only contracted by *** *** to collect and store their return dataThe Retail Equation does not implement any *** *** policies or return guidelinesRegarding *** stores inside of *** ***The *** *** system does not recognize *** receipts and vise versaSo, although you purchased your *** item inside a *** *** store, *** *** will treat any return or exchanges as non-receiptedIf you wish to avoid this in the future please feel free to return your *** items to a free standing *** store, this way your receipt will countRegarding your statement about The Retail Equation clearing the data after monthsThis is incorrect, the data will remain in the system as long as the retailer would like it to stayThis is *** ***'s data and we do not have permission nor the authorization to remove it from the databaseYou also mention that your son and husband ID's are connected to yours, they are notLastly, you have requested a "full copy of my file not just the return activity report", the Return Activity Report is the only report The retail Equation can send to you, there are no other reportsThe Return Activity Report lists the previous return or exchange attempts with *** ***, this is the information *** *** looks at when they make their decisions to approve, warn or deny a return.Regards,The Retail Equation

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[The Retain Equiation has the authority to track and keep these records but they don't have the authority to remove them? That doesnt make any sense at all; furthermore, I've already contacted *** *** and they keep passing the ball to TRE, which obviously they don't want to take responsibility for their illegal tracking actions]

If you're a retailer, do not use The Retail Equation if you value your reputation with your customersIf you're a customer, avoid stores that use The Retail EquationThe Retail Equation is a robotic, useless company that makes its decisions callously and lacks any type of appeals process(They allow you to dispute facts, but not decisions in any way.)
TRE would not reverse their incorrect decision in my caseLuckily, BestBuy corporate over-ruled themBut I still cannot shop at BestBuy or other TRE clients with how awfully TRE is run

Dear Mr***,
The Retail Equation’s software solutions were developed with a full array of consumer services in order to ensure Data Quality and Address Consumer DisputesWe will not change our web site to list to any specific situations, instead our goal is to meet the needs of all consumer
situations by stating “TRE offers consumers the ability to dispute their Return Activity Report and facilitate a dialogue between the consumer and retailer to reach a proper resolution.” In our FAQ questions #and #we list the methods in place for many years already in which to contact us to help in resolving any situation, including a perceived positive
