I ordered the Thingcharger on the *** of October That was the first time they heard from me When I had not heard anything from them in approximately two weeks, I emailed them and got no response I then called them and got a message that I could best reach them by email I tried emailing them again and received no response I called again and got the same message, that it was best to contact them by email As I thought about it I decided that four times of trying to contact them was enough I had ordered the thingcharger in October as a Christmas present and it was unacceptable that after attempted contacts they had not responded and I had no idea about whether I would receive the item in time for ChristmasI then filed a complaint with the Revdex.com The following day I heard back from the company for the first time They told me that they were crowd funded and swamped with unexpected orders and that I would not receive the object until February None of this was on their commercials or on their website so I had no idea of this until after I filed the complaint I agreed to accept an upgrade and receive the object in February After seeing their statement that I did not contact them until Dec I am no longer willing to give any of my money to this company I will accept my order being cancelled but nothing less

Although I have received my product, the business continues to only respond to some of my questions and concerns They have addressed my questions about *** *** and ***, but have repeatedly not explained availability of this item at *** before completing distribution to original supporters Also, they have failed to explain why they gave us inaccurate information, i.eyour items will be shipped before Christmas Finally, their response to not notifying original supporters that there would be an additional charge for adapters for older models of iPhones is unsatisfactory If they don't want to bother people with this information in advance (because supposedly so few people needed the adapters), then why is it ok for them to provide periodic *** updates that could run for minutes To me, this is a bigger bother and poor use of my time (having to watch a lengthy video to get simple updates, even implying some supporters were responsible for some of the delays).I can provide supporting documentation if requested Thank you

This response is laughable. The so called statements that is it a crowdfunding campaign -- where they exist -- are not readily evident It really does appear to me that the website is purposely minimizing anything that might provide that information to the consumer They have made no offer to ACTUALLY state "clearly and prominently" on the thingCHARGER website that it is a crowdfunding campaign and that shipping would not be immediate First, I only got to the company's website from a Facebook ad There was no indication on that ad that it was a crowdfunded campaign or that shipping would not be immediate I notice the company didn't address that Second, there is no indication on the thingCHARGER video that it is a crowdfunding campaign until the very bitter end of a lengthy video And, frankly, they really only refer to "contributions" The video also references the indiegogo.com campaign which is over And, they don't outright call it a crowdfunding campaign One would have to make the inference that they were talking about a crowdfunded campaign And, there is no indication on that video that shipping would be delayed in anyway Third, when you click on the "get yours" button on the thingCHARGER website, its automatically scrolls down -- past the faq and the rest of the website -- to the buttons to choose 1, or chargers It in no way identifies them as perks Then, in order to see the statement that it is a "contribution" (it doesn't say it is a crowdfunded campaign) -- that is in barely visible white lettering on light grey -- one would have had to continue to scroll down past the buttons to the very end of the page In addition, there is no indication that shipping would be delayed in anyway Fourth, when one chooses to purchase one of the thingCHARGER packages the website takes you to an intermediate page which provides information on the product and links to upsell you Nothing on that page indicates in any way that it is a crowdfunded campaign or that you will not be delivering promptly It looks just like a regular retail purchase By the way, the only link to the terms and conditions referenced by the company, is on the very bottom of that page There does not appear to be any other links to the terms and conditions elsewhere on the company's website. Fifth, when you select the "choose this" button and the website takes you to the order page, the only mention of a crowdfunded campaign is at the very bottom of the form after the shipping details and the "place order" button -- again requiring the user to manually scroll down to the very bottom of the page.In addition, thingCHARGER's invoice gives NO indication that thingCHARGER isn't immediately shipping, that my payment was considered a "contribution," or that it was part of "crowdfunding" campaign The invoice I recieved clearly refers to my "order," identifies the "product," and even includes charges for shipping and includes my address

We have emailed this individual to let them know that we are working on a refund.When this contributor first reached out to us they were unaware that we are still a crowdfunding campaignWith crowdfunding, many people contribute a small amount of money toward a great ideaThe inventors take that
money and turn it into a fantastic product, which we can then ship to the amazing people who supported us. Because crowdfunding uses the funds collected from our contributors to create, manufacture, and ship our products to our supporters, there is often a delay between the receipt of funds and the shipment of packages. When we learned that they were unaware of our crowdfunding status we attempted to explain our crowdfunding statusThis was not satisfactory to them, so we attempted to meet their expectations. Because of the gap that exists between contribution and shipping, we do have a final checkout form where we ask our contributors to confirm their shipping preferences and allow them to add any upgrades or tips that they might wantIn that process we do say that their package will be shipping soon, by which we mean as soon as they confirm their shipping informationHowever, this individual was not comfortable with that process and following that email, contacted the Revdex.com. We acted as quickly as we could to try to meet their expecations and resolve their concernsAs at this time they would prefer a refund, that is what we will do. We are very sorry, but hope that we have resolved the issue to their satisfaction
