We are so sorry! In this particular case the individual is completely correctWe sincerely apologizeWhen they contacted us on December ***, their request was handled by someone very new to our team who inadvertently closed it without resolving the issueWe will be working to ensure that this
cannot happen again. We are very grateful that they contacted the Revdex.com to allow us the opportunity to correct this and we encourage anyone who has questions, or concerns, to email us directly at ***. We have emailed the individual to attempt to resolve this issue immediately and, again, offer them our sincere apologyWe are sorryPlease allow us the opportunity to make this rightWe will continue to work with you until we have resolved this to your satisfaction

We are so sorry that this individual wasn't aware of our crowdfunding status With crowdfunding, many people contribute a small amount of money to a great ideaThe inventors take that money and turn it into a fantastic product, which we can then ship to the amazing people who supported
us. Because crowdfunding uses the funds collected from our contributors to create, manufacture, and ship our products to our supporters, there is often a delay between the receipt of funds and the shipment of packages. We try to make our crowdfunding status clear and it is both listed and referenced in a variety of places in our videos and on our website, but we are very sorry that, in this case, that was missedUnfortunately, this individual did not contact us prior to reaching out to the Revdex.com, so we were unable to assist them before this. However, we are grateful that we are now aware of the issue and have emailed them directly to try to resolve the issue to their satisfaction. We encourage this individual, or anyone who is concerned about their perk package, to contact us directly at [email protected] will continue to follow up with this individual until this issue is resolved to their satisfaction

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved
Sincerely,

On the *** of August an address update was requested and we responded on the *** of August with a confirmation that their address was updated in our systemWe also upgraded all of their units to include surge protection for FREE. On the *** of October a refund request was submitted and we
processed the refund on the following dayWhile we process refund requests - and send a confirmation that we have performed a refund in our system - within hours it may take up to days for the refund to appear on the credit card used for paymentOnce we learned that the refund had not appeared on their bank statement within the days we contacted the credit card processing company to find out why this has not appeared on their bank statement. Our team is dedicated to taking care of all of our supporters, both past and presentOur Operations Manager is working directly with this individual to make sure these funds get back to them

We are very sorry for the frustration that this individual experiencedIt seems that they may not have been aware when they selected their perk package that thingCHARGER is still a crowdfunding campaign. With crowdfunding, an inventor takes a good idea to the internetThere, many
people contribute a small amount of money towards making that idea into a realityThe inventor then takes that money and uses it to create, manufacture, and ship the productWhen the product is ready, it is then shipped out to all the people who supported its creation, as a thank-you gift.Because of that process, there is usually a lag between when contributions are received and when perk packages are shippedThis can feel frustrating, but it is a part of crowdfunding. llThis individual contacted us this Sunday, February ***When we became aware that this individual had not been aware of our crowdfunding status, we attempted to meet their expectations and ship to them. Because we are a crowdfunding campaign that began in 2013, many of our supporters have asked that we include a place for them to add any upgrades or additional tips that they might want, but that were not available when they first contributedWe do this just before shipping, at the same time as we confirm their shipping address and preferences. This individuals package contained the correct tips to charge Android and newer *** devices We have one additional tip available at this time, which supporters can add to their package for older *** devicesWe do not include these automatically as most supporters have moved to newer devicesHowever, we do like to make them available. Unfortunately this individual encountered some difficulty while completing this process and when we attempted to resolve the issue with them, did not respond to usAt that point, they filed this complaint. While we would have been happy to assist them further with the final checkout process or help them to confirm their shipping information in another way, we are going to honor the request that they have made for a refund We have started that refund process and emailed the individual to notify them. Again, we are sorry that they experienced frustration and are going to offer them the solution that works best for them

There seems to be a misunderstanding over the final checkout processWhile the shipping did cost an additional fifteen cents, we actually comp’d this to the individual as we did not want inconvenience
them over such a little amountWe do request that people go to a link and re-confirm their package and shipping details so that we can ensure that they receive everything that they would likeWe apologize for the confusion

We are very sorryWe strive to provide great communication to our supporters and in this case it looks like that just didn't happenWe were unable to locate any emails from this individual asking for our assistance or clarification in any wayWe are very sorry that we were unaware of the issue
that they were experiencing. Now that we know, we are reaching out to them, to investigate their issues and provide a refund if possibleWe always strive to meet our supporters needs in the way that works best for them. It sounds as though this contributor may have been unaware that we are still a crowdfunding campaignWith crowdfunding, many people contribute a small amount of money toward a great ideaThe inventors take that money and turn it into a fantastic product, which we can then ship to the amazing people who supported us. Because crowdfunding uses the funds collected from our contributors to create, manufacture, and ship our products to our supporters, there is often a delay between the receipt of funds and the shipment of packagesWe are thrilled to finally reach the final stage of that process and to be shipping as quickly as we can to those who helped us.We encourage anyone who is concerned about their package, or feels that they do not have enough information to contact us directly at ***We will continue to work with this individual until we have reached a solution that they find satisfactory

We are so sorry that our final checkout process was upsetting in this caseHappily, we were able to work to with this individual and assist them in completing their address verification processTheir package has been shipped and they will receive their thingCHARGERs very soon. Because we are a crowdfunding campaign that is very excited to be shipping after several years of support and development, there has been a time gap between the initial contribution of many of our supporters and when we are able to ship their perk packagesThis means that we do have a form where we ask supporters to verify that they have the correct charging tips for their current devices and confirm their shipping information. This individual was not charged any additional funds during this process. We apologize for the frustration and are grateful to this individual for working with us to resolve the issues that were troubling themHopefully they will be absolutely thrilled as soon as their thingCHARGERs arrive, but if they have any concerns, we will continue to work with them until they are completely satisfied

I'm actually surprised that so many people actually got their item, period I ordered in the Fall of and kept getting promises it was coming and also that I would get a free upgraded item superior to the original product More than a year later I still have not received anything Crowdfunding does have risks but when a company tells you they will be sending it out then they need to do just that To rub salt into the wound, they sent me numerous emails but I could never get any solid info from them or a truly personal response

At the time of this complaint thingCHARGER was a crowdfunding campaign. We started shipping in September of 2015 and continue to ship as fast as we can. Our records indicate that the thingCHARGERs have been delivered to the individual. The [redacted] sales were part of a market test that was made...

possible through a special donation. While for a large market distribution they were limited in quantity, their production allowed us to order from production in larger amounts that actually enabled us to produce thingCHARGERs more quickly and ship to our contributor’s sooner. It's counter-intuitive, but ordering more items means using a larger factory and allows us to get more thingCHARGERs, faster. With regard to the 30 Pin Tip and charges for it, we were excited to be able to offer the 30 Pin tip. Having it allows us to offer charging capability for older devices. It isn't included free of charge because most often it is not needed by our supporters. Because it is needed in much smaller quantities, producing it is much more expensive. In order to off-set those costs, we are sad to say that we do have to charge a fee. We don't typically mention this in advance because for most of our supporters it isn't necessary. They simply don't need the 30 Pin tip and offering them information on it wastes their time. When we are asked we try to make the fees for additional tips clear. I am very sorry that wasn't done here. We are sorry to say that we do not yet know exactly where these units were acquired, and who placed them on [redacted] or [redacted]. We have fulfilled a good number of contributors from earlier in our campaign, and it is possible that someone decided to attempt to resell theirs.

We are so grateful that this individual contacted us directly at the same time that they reached out to the Revdex.com. We are thrilled that we were able to help them resolve their frustration and that their thingCHARGER is on the way.   We are very sorry for the frustration that...

This can feel frustrating, but it is a normal part of crowdfunding.   We are so excited to have reached the shipping stage and we know this individual will be thrilled just as soon as their thingCHARGER is delivered.   We are sincerely sorry that none of this was explained clearly. We will continue to work with our team to improve communication with our supporters and make sure that they are explaining the process, and why it looks so different, in cases like this. And as we begin to catch up to shipping to our newest supporters we will be looking into better ways to allow them to confirm their shipping information when needed.

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by thingCHARGER Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted]. My other research on the Internet seems to indicate that the business folded some time in mid 2016.  They were going strong until then, had weekly postings on their...

[redacted] page.    But I read a complaint on the Internet from someone else who had not received their Thingchargers, and that individual said that he had reached the entrepreneur who had said the business was folding.  There was some implication that they would re-open in 2017, but I did not see any explanation as to how or why. Looking on the Internet, I saw that this owner was a serial entrepreneur, so I don't know what happened or what will happen. When I and others ordered, it was based on Interent descriptions that seemed like this business was up and running.  There was a long wait for the product, but many people did get what they ordered eventually.  Some were unhappy because the item was not as they had imagined (common compaint was that it did not work with outlets that automatically cut off when appliance contacts water, such as in the kitchen or bathroom), but many seemed satisfied. However, though it was nowhere stated on the promotions I saw, the owners were claiming that this was crowdfunding. If you continue to get complaints, you might try referring to this to any agency with governemental investigative powers.   Better to clear this up with unhappy news then to have it continue for years.Thank you for your efforts.Sincerely,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this issue is in the process of being resolved.  They have shipped my product and according to the FedEx tracking, the product should arrive on 1/**.  The advertisment for the product was not clear that it was a crowdfunding promotion and that is where the problem lies.
