Dear Revdex.com - Thank you for helping to mediate Ms. [redacted]'s complaint.  On the checkout page of the website Ms. [redacted] visited to order her event tickets there is a statement saying:  "We are a resale marketplace, not the ticket seller. Prices may be above or...

All sales are final."   Similar statements are set out in the terms and conditions of the website Ms. [redacted] visited, terms and conditions that Ms. [redacted] agreed to when placing her order.  Ms. [redacted] purchased tickets that were priced above face value, above the amount printed on the tickets she received.  Ticket brokers like Ticket Galaxy price event tickets for resale based on the market for tickets to particular events, which is impacted by the supply of tickets to the event and the popularity of the event.  As Ms. [redacted] noted, [redacted] is a very popular event and the market price for tickets is above the price printed on the tickets.I hope that Mr. [redacted] enjoys seeing Wicked.Again, thank you,DanTicket Galaxy

The
terms and conditions were available to Ms. [redacted] boyfriend in a scroll box during the
checkout process and as a link on each page of the site. Had Ms. [redacted] boyfriend not
clicked on the “yes” button on the checkout page that states “I agree to the
Terms & Conditions,” the software would have removed him from the checkout
page and he would not have been able to complete his order.  
Ms. [redacted] boyfriend was made aware of the fact that we do not issue refunds for lost tickets and was advised to keep the tickets in a safe place.  There
is no refund due.As Ms. [redacted] complaint indicates, she contacted our customer service department a number of times and each time the service representative attempted to assist her in this matter.  Unfortunately, given the particulars of the venue and event Ms. [redacted] intended to attend, we were unable to replace her lost tickets or have her and her boyfriend's entry assured by the box office.  Sometimes we are able to replace customer's lost tickets and we encourage customers to contact us in the event they misplace, damage, or destroy their tickets, as Ms. [redacted] did.  However, we do not promise to be able to help in these situations, and, unfortunately, we aren't able to help Ms. [redacted].Our policy as stated is correct - we may, in certain circumstances, be able to help customers replace lost tickets.  No policy change is due.We regret that Ms. [redacted] and her boyfriend have lost their event tickets, and hope they find them before their event.Thank you to the Revdex.com for your help in mediating this issue.Best,[redacted] L - Ticket Galaxy

I am rejecting this response because: I am appalled Ticket Galaxy is trying to "bully" the B.B.B. to remove my complaint by saying my term "scalping" is "wrong, prejudicial, and evoke certain racial stereotypes that are not fit for this forum.  I respectfully request that her complaint and response be removed from the Revdex.com website".  Saying something is a racial DOES NOT make it true.  The definition of scalping from the dictionary is:  to resell (tickets, merchandise, etc.) at higher than the official rates. I stand my words this is what has been done. This is scalping by the definition.  Speaking the truth is not "allow someone to make defamatory accusations".  There is no wrong, prejudicial or racial about ANY of my comments.  I urge Ticket Galaxy to not make unfounded claims in attempt to deflect.  Now that I have addressed the attempt to deflect from the actual issue, I would like to address my concern.I have offered two solutions to making me a satisfied customer and I will reiterate those two solutions plus offer an additional one.  1.  I would like two tickets with the actual cost of $127, since I did pay the service fee of $77.48 which should cover the "above face value cost".  2.  Return my money completely upon the return of the the 2 $79 tickets I receive.  3.  I am willing to accept an additional $79 ticket and walk away happy.  Ticket Galaxy has been very kind in their words but just repeating the same thing over and over doesn't make it true NOR and most important does it make it RIGHT.  That is why there are 49 complaints against them on Ripoff website for the EXCEPT same thing I am saying.  A person IS TOLD the cost may be higher but the person is mislead into thinking the SERVICE FEE is the increase price but in reality there is an increase cost to the tickets AND a service fee.  This purchase is 62% OVER face value!!!!  That is not reasonable.

I selected section p and was sold tickets way back in section j ,which was not highlighted as a choice. The way they have it setup is very deceiving. Select a good seat and receive a way back crappy seat. Not happy at all.

financial matters like these very seriously.
[redacted] attempted to purchase some
tickets on 1/17 for an event on 1/18. When the order was received, only a
preauthorization was attempted and there was an...

error where the order didn’t
get charged. In this case, our process is to attempt another preauthorization
in case the system had an error. When that came up as declined, we contacted
the customer and had her verify that all of her billing information was
correct. When she assured us that it was 100% correct, we attempted a third
preauthorization. When that didn’t go through we did reject the order, as we
were not able to be paid for the order.
Preauthorizations can take 3-5 business days
to fade off of an account. This is completely out of our company’s hands. That
is up to the financial institution of the card. Through the many conversations
that we have had with [redacted] she did mention that her card is a pre-paid
card, which are notorious for having issues releasing preauthorizations. Again,
this is not due in any part to anything that our company does, it’s simply the
processes of the card.
It’s very important for us to make it clear
that we would never want to take a customer’s money and not provide a customer’s
tickets. Similarly, we would not provide someone tickets without being paid for
the merchandise.
While we regret that we weren’t able to
furnish [redacted] with tickets, we also did not actually withdraw money from
her account.

The attached screenshots were taken directly from the
website and have not been altered in any way. Mr. Martin or the Revdex.com can verify
that these screenshots are true and accurate representations of the checkout
process by re-visiting [redacted] and searching for any set of
tickets. The website's checkout software is designed to function this way, and
does so every time. It is quite possible that Mr. Martin does not remember the
specifics of the checkout process, however all of the contested information is very much
contained therein.
Also included in this response is a screenshot of the final
review page that Mr. Martin alleges to not have viewed. Again, because the
entire checkout process is the same piece of software it would operate
identically for every user. Thus, Mr. Martin was brought to this review page,
but may have skipped it by immediately hitting "Place Order" on this page.
The service and delivery fees were displayed to him before
he elected to complete his purchase and therefore no refund will be provided.

When [redacted] contacted our office, saying that she had
purchased tickets for the wrong state, we looked into making an exception to
see if we were able to exchange her tickets for the correct state. We did this
as a favor to [redacted], instead of advising her to resell the tickets that
she would be unable to use and then re-purchase. [redacted] spoke with a
representative from our office, and accepted a re-delivery fee of $30, as we
had to send her an airbill to ship her already-delivered ticket back into our
office and ship out the new ticket back to her.
 
When [redacted] received her ticket, she called our office to ask
about the face value of the tickets, and the difference in price. The response
was essentially mirroring what you have read in the above terms and policies.
 
As far as the website “Hijacking” [redacted], the order was
placed on 8/30/16 at 11:50 AM from [redacted] computer. Because the terms
and policies have to be accepted prior to placing the order, as well as the
website clearly declaring that it is a marketplace and not the venue or box
office, we do not believe that this claim holds merit.
 
Because of the reasons listed above, we will be unable to process
a refund at this time.

What a horrible experience just in time for Christmas. I purchased two tickets to [redacted] in New York City and despite the purchase being confirmed, I was later told in an email from Leo at ticket galaxy that they would not be able to fulfill my order as indicated. After looking further into it and seeing tickets for the very same show still on sale, it seems to me that ticket galaxy is nothing more than an agency seeking to scam customers when they have an opportunity to make more money. The tickets I purchased at the cost of $223 each are now selling for over $400 each when I was told my ticket order could no longer be fulfilled. I was given excuse by Leo that they are intermediary and sometimes the larger corporation I bought from doesn't keep their website up to dateand tickets purchased me a little longer still be available. I call **. Avoid this company at all cost. Nothing but scam artists. They should be closed down

Schedule of Fees and Charges The
price charged to USER'S credit card beyond the price of the individual tickets
shall include the following fees and charges:

Fee: Cost
per ticket associated with SITE operation, customer service center operation,
and other costs associated with the fulfillment of USER'S ticket request.

Delivery: Costs
associated with the Delivery Method chosen by USER and the SITE'S arrangement
of USER'S ticket delivery by the FULFILLER.
·        
Total:Entire amount
charged to USER, including each ticket's price as set by the FULFILLER, Service
Fee, and Delivery.
The
website terms and conditions were available to [redacted] as a scroll box
during the checkout process and as a link on each page of the site. If [redacted] did not click on the “yes” button on the checkout page that states “I
agree to the Terms & Conditions,” the software would have removed him from the
checkout page and he would not have been able to go on to complete his order.
Also, the total price, including service fees and delivery charges, was given
to his before he gave his credit card information and completed his order. [redacted] chose to comply with the price and the terms before sending his final
order for processing.
[redacted] was educated to the fact that tickets are in many cases sold above
face value and that [redacted] is neither a primary sale box office nor the venue. [redacted] freely-chosen
acceptance of the price and the terms and conditions indicates that he did make
a conscious and educated decision to purchase tickets at the location and price
he agreed to.
There is
no refund due.

Dear Revdex.com,We regret that [redacted] has rejected our response. I cannot dispute that it would have been nice to send an e-mail. We will certainly look into implementing that feature for the future.
