I paid Topresume $189 to rewrite my resume and cover letter. According to their website, it indicates that they will assign an expert in the industry, which I am applying for to rewrite my resume and cover letter. In the meantime, I submitted my existing resume and CV, and received the new one. But they only copy and past from my old resume and put them together in different way. I did not see any possible it was written by an expert like what they indicated on their website.
The service I received did not match what they said on their website. I requested full refund but refused. Will never refer to friends. Never!

The business refunded my money. They should know that their written response does little to cover up their woefully incompetent service, and the communication they are referring to with my "writer" consisted of my sending a shorter version of my resume (which [redacted] simply copied, shuffled the job titles with the accomplishments, then sent back to me as the pathetic finished product) and additional links to jobs to which I intended to apply. [redacted]'s response was such that it was clear she had not got much of an idea on how to write my resume. I suspect she had not read the information I provided online when I ordered this service. The business provides half-truths in its written response. Yes, they provided an extremely poorly written resume, practically word for word what I had written in the resume I submitted online, determined by the "free" critique to be lacking, and a generic cover letter I could have easily acquired from a quick internet search, but they did not provide the Linked In profile that was part of this package by the agreed upon deadline. I am accepting the refund, but not the glossing over of their poor service and "executive priority" product. Further, TopResume does nothing to support its defense when the representative who wrote this response cannot even spell "manner!"

This is beyond ridiculous! They are business with the right to issue refunds. If they falsely advertise something they can not or will not deliver, then they should provide a refund. I can't get back the time I've wasted, at least give me back my money so I don't lose money and time on this company.

Hi,The best writer we had for Gary's project took some time getting to Gary's order.I've gone ahead and closed Gary's order and issued a full refund for his trouble.We are sorry his experience was less than satisfactory.Thanks,Talent Inc. Customer Support

I have reviewed the response made by TopResume in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  I find TopResume's wording to be extremely creative, in explaining away their misleading advertising as a "glitch".  Although they did refund the $50 that I paid for "48 Hour Rush Service", they did not take any responsibility for their failure to deliver the professional resume, within 48 hours or otherwise, that I paid $149 for.  I am still out that $149.  My advice to anyone reading this would be DO NOT pay TopResume to prepare your professional resume  - their service is a scam.
