I deal with insurance companies on a daily basis for a little over 7 years now. Unique insurance is the worst by far! The claims process is such a hassle. To get from one step of the claims process to another, I've had to call for weeks straight until someone answers. The claims adjustor nor the claims manager returned my calls. I left voicemail after voicemail. Without exaggerating, I would say I've left about 50 voicemails since the claim started the end of February and called without leaving a voicemail maybe 30 times or so. I never once received a call back. It's unfortunate that people have to struggle this much. Either this company has the worst claims department ever or just the worst claims representative (Nancy [redacted] @ XXX-XXX-XXXX) and claims manager (Pat @ XXX-XXX-XXXX).

They are very unprofessional... They're client was in fault of hitting me and recieved a citation and they still said I was liable and only can cover 50% of the damage. I spoke to Micheal who proceed to tell me nothing they can do and take it up with my insurance and hung up the phone

[redacted] has spoken to our company many times over the past few weeks. We received a loss notice on 11/9 and moved quickly to process the claim in a timely manner. His adjuster's supervisor spoke with him on 11/16 with an update and checks have already been processed for payments. I am confused...

as to why [redacted] has even file a complaint with the Revdex.com since his claims is in the process of being completely resolved.Thank you,

Obviously, this gentleman, who is not a customer of Unique Insurance, will not be satisfied with any outcome to his claim. We have apologized and made an offer to his claim yet he continues to rebut our responses. We respectfully request the Revdex.com close this claim at this time.

directed her where to take her car. We sent an assignment to the repair shop and explained to her about the payment process, including the deductible portion. She said she understood the explanation. Wish I had known about this website before I chose Unique (not unique at all). On 4/3/2016 I backed into a car that was in my driveway. I called Unique on Monday morning as soon as they opened. Spoke to Alison. She told me my adjusters name was LaTonya S. I had to leave a message telling her to please get back with me as soon as possible. NO CALL BACK. I called again the next day and left another message. NO CALL BACK. I called Unique again the next day and the lady who answered the phone told me I had to speak with Gerri, ext. [redacted], LaTonya S.'s asst. Left a message for her. NO CALL BACK. It is now Thursday 4/14/2016 and I have yet to hear from anyone. Needless to say I cancelled this un-unique insurance today. Also, the cost to have the vehicle repaired turned out to be LESS than my deductible.

The claim was denied due to a lack of coverage. This accident occurred on 11/30/2016 at 2:01 AM per the IL Traffic Crash Report. However, the complainant did not bind the insurance policy until 1:28 PM on the date of loss. She did...

not have coverage until AFTER the fact and called in the loss knowing there was no coverage for the accident. And, to clarify, the adjuster was correct in saying that the customer service representative, who took the original call, is not an adjuster and cannot provide a decision on the claim. Lastly, the complainant ended the call with our claims team supervisor, our associate did not hang up on her.

Department. Estimate was approved and payment was issued on 04/25/16 to the body shop with the complainant as the second payee on the check.This claims is listed as closed in our files and well within the 60 day guideline set by the [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: they do not need to get ahold of their insured to move forward to resolve this claim. They were sent the physical police report stating what had happened at the time of the accident. I have not received a rental car, have missed out on almost a month of work, and have had to pay all medical bills out of pocket since the accident on march 9th and have yet to get anywhere with this company, not even a call back.
I was told yesterday if they do not hear back from their insured that they will drop my claim due to the fact he just opened up his insurance with Unique in February and that there was an injury involved.
 
Again I need a rental and to settle this claim by April 24, 2016 or I will be contacting the [redacted] and will file a claim with them. There is no reason to not settle a claim with the reason being you are waiting on a response from your insured when you have a legal police report stating what had happened during the accident and that their insured was the one operating the vehicle.

  yes they pay for 15 days in rental and they have agree to pay an extra 3 days for rental   I am going into 50 days and counting and still can not get a date on when my
car will be fixed   they going to pay for 18 days I  will be paying for 32 days and counting cause I still have not receive the car. My deductible is $250.00 plus the tire they are
charging me for $100.00. I work in a factory and do not make a lots of money they are draining my money, and they do not understand how I feel and why I feel this way

There were multiple vehicles involved in this incident and the adjuster has to ensure all the information is provided for a thorough investigation. Today, 03/11/2016, she contacted the complainant to provide an update, next steps and explain the process. She also contacted the third party's carrier and they are submitting subrogation documents soon.
