I normally look at the reviews before I decide on using a business. My husband needed quick insurance and went with this company before I had time to check them out. OMG was that a major mistake. My car was hit by an uninsured driver on Jan 19, 2016 and I am still trying just to get someone to call me. We've provided all the information requested and my car has not been fixed nor have we been contacted. Our adjuster NEVER seems like a ghost in the mist. Can't contact her at all. Voice mails full & forget about any return calls. really sad how a/any company can take money and not help when that's what you're paying for, I am so frustrated right now!!! I bet someone would contact us immediately if we stopped our payments. When I request for someone higher, everyone says there isn't anyone higher. What???? Our next step is to get the media involved. With all these negative reviews, I don't think I'll have any problem here in Atlanta. Maybe this type of coverage will help others that are in our situation. Stay tuned...

said there was not as much damage done and he does not want his insurance company paying for something that was not viable. There is damage but he doesn't feel it is $6,000 worth of damage.The adjuster then spoke to the [redacted] Group. The adjuster explained that she would be in touch after the estimate was reviewed by our physical damage team and she would reach out to them then. The [redacted] rep on the phone said she would be out of the office until Wednesday but that the adjuster can speak to anyone on the team and she would circle back when she returns next week.

My car accident occured in July and here I am 5 months later (!!!) still with no assistance! BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. I could not get ahold of my adjuster and neither could the autobody shop where my car was towed. (Supposedly there was another car with the same make, model, year, and color as my car and at the shop and the adjustert accidentally confused the two vehicles). Regardless, they continued to fax the wrong work order to the autobody shop at least 4 or 5 times. I have tried countless times to reach them. My adjuster Bhaumik has been completely rude throughout this period even going so far as to laughing at my dillema on the phone. He presented me with a substandard offer considering the headache I've gone through (Over $2,000 in rental car expenses alone!) To make matters one hundred times worse he presented this disgusting offer with his claim estimate paperwork... AS I BEGAN TO READ IT THE ERRORS WERE ALARMING. They got everything all wrong!! Total negligence on their part!! Here are some of the real big errors I found: YES my car does have air conditioning ( they listed it as No), YES my car does have automatic transmission (those two things alone are HUGE to me) YES my car does have power mirrors, power locks, power steering, and power everything. The two previous owners were family member so I know :::for sure::: NO, there was never a lien on it, NO ithere was no factory recall for the automatic start feature, NO the damage to the vehicle was not in the front, NO the accident didn't happen in Indiana, NO my last name is not spelled McClain, NO this is definitely not my car at all. :::Complete and total negligence::: My adjuster Bhaumik has admitted guilt on their end yet absolutely will not give me the contact information for his supervisor and like I said before he laughed at my situation on the phone. There is an arrogance about this company and no one seems to care at all. I've tried endlessly to get ahold of someone anyone there for help. I'm filing a claim with Revdex.com and have set up an appointment with an attorney for early next week. It's a shame when your insurance company can't even spell your own name right and the lack of caring is beyond appalling. And if you are considering Unique Insurance for car insurance please take one look at this review and run for your life!!!

Based upon the claims notes, I see that the complainant did file the loss and said that our insured admitted fault on the scene. Over the course of discussions, our insured presented a different story altogether. Since the accident...

occurred on private property the police did not come out to the scene and no report was filed. This becomes a case of hearsay on the complainant's side when she says the insured admitted fault at the scene. The complainant can contact her carrier and discuss options with them. Legal options are certainly one of the routes available to her. Thank you again,

Unique Insurance is very unprofessional the agency does Adjuster don't never get back in touch with you and the receptors is rude as [redacted]. My Adjuster voicemail is full. And it is crazy all the [redacted] messages I have left all I want is the person who me to get me a rental and fix my [redacted] truck. It shouldn't be that [redacted] hard. If customer service said the adjuster is going to get in touch with then do that. My truck get me my family around everywhere and it not [redacted] far we have to go through this mess. If we don't pay I bill then they drop us. A I am do your job and you can keep people happy on both in.

I honestly do not know why that is but I can tell you that an offer was faxed and a hard copy is being mailed today.

Unfortunately, this does not seem like it will end with a satisfactory conclusion and is turning into a situation of "he said/she said"
The complainant contacted me directly via phone Friday and told me that none of the notes in our claim were factual. The adjuster working on this claim is very competent at his job and would have no reason to doctor these notes in my view. While I apologized to the complainant about her situation and explained to her that I would get the adjuster to contact her, she continued to say that nobody would return her call and when I said that I would return her call, she said she didn't believe me. I even provided my direct line and she said, Why should I call you back, you should call me back. When I said I would call her back, she again said she didn't believe me.
Shortly thereafter, the adjuster contacted her and explained everything to her. Today, an offer was made and we are awaiting her response.
We apologize to the complainant and hope this claim is moving to resolution.

In January, we sent total loss documents to the complainant so he can receive his check. We never received anything back from him; therefore, we have not issued a check.
I will have one of our supervisors e-mail the documents...

to the complainant at the listed e-mail address. He will need to let us know, too, if he is keeping the vehicle or not.He should check his e-mail later today for an e-mail from [redacted] with Unique Insurance. Once we received the information, we can issue him a check.

Horrible company! I was involved in an accident a year ago where I was rearended by a person that was covered by this company. There is a police report with the gentleman admitting fault because he was messing with the radio and my insurance company has a recorded phone call with him admitting fault. They claim there was no police report and the gentleman said he hit a curb. The gentleman was actually arrested at the scene because of an outstanding warrant. They are now not answering my insurance agent and ignoring everything. I suggest anyone to avoid this company at all costs! resolve a claim within 40 days for an insured. This claim was opened on 08/29/16 and this complainant picked up his check less than a month later. Unique is well within the guideline set by the department.Thank you again,

My brand new car was hit only 20 minutes from driving it off the lot by someone who is insured by Unique Insurance. I was able to file a claim easily, but it has been a week since that claim was filed, and I have not heard from the claims adjuster (Nancy Acevedo), despite having left various voice mail message. Based upon the reviews here, and on Yelp, I can see what the picture is like. It is unconscionable that Unique Insurance would be able to part part of the Revdex.com with the kinds of practices they have.

I will update my review as things progress (or do not progress, as I see has been the case for most people).

Unique insurance company is the worst excuse for an insurance company I have ever seen! They're insured driver hit my parked, on occupied vehicle in January 2016. It is the end of September 2016 and I still have not received my reimbursement. They're insured admitted complete fault, the police report indicated it was her fault, and still this miserable company is fighting the claim. After 10 months they are taking it to litigation! If they won't pay when their driver is 100% at fault by her own admission and a police report, and hit an unoccupied stationary vehicle what will they pay for?? When I called them they told him they would have difficulty handling my situation because they had lost several team members and just didn't have enough people to do the work. How unprofessional! And they are twisting Illinois insurance laws to make it seem as if they must fight every claim. It will be well over a year before I have any hope of receiving my reimbursement! This company is a joke!

insured's vehicle. The Unique adjuster involved contacted the complainant on 10/19/2015 and explained to him that the claim was denied and the basis for the denial. A written denial was sent as well and the adjuster suggested he turn the matter over to his carrier. The denial remains in effect.Thank you again,
