Looking over your membership, I do show that we have since been in contact with you. The resolve that was a credit for the annual fee was posted towards the following year, but since you were not satisfied with this the cancel fee and 30 days were waived on both accounts. However we would love to...
keep you as vasa members, I am willing to waive your annual fee and have it draft August 2015.Thanks
Thank you for reaching out to us, however I do show Jalayne in our member service department was able to resolve this matter for you. Please let us know if you have any further questions though, we would be happy to help.
Revdex.com:I don't know if the past due amount means the 'late fees' they put on me, but I still ended up paying over $500. In that case, I'm still unsatisfied with the company.

I am rejecting this response because:I don't want to work with a company that thinks for their own profit. I was told I could cancel at anytime, I didn't get anything from my trainer that I was promised, I didn't receive any phone calls from my trainer even when I brought this to the attention of Revdex.com. I went in to cancel my membership and my trainer. they handed me A card and said they would help me out. I called the number and they said they couldn't help me out. so now I want nothing to do with VASA, you can have the money you already took from me, and we cancel this now and be on our way.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
Again, we do not have anything on file regarding an injury in our club. If you were injured, did you report it and file an incident report? While we understand it must be frustrating dealing with an injury, we have given you the regulations regarding transfer of sessions.
I apologize for the way you were treated with the collection agency. This will be addressed with them, I do not show that your mother sign this agreement however if you were a minor at the point of sale the incorrect birthdate was submitted to show you were 19. Please provide a copy of your drivers...
license with your actual birthdate to confirm. Once this is done the debt will be called back and you will owe nothing to Swift or VASA Fitness. Thanks
Was there a different number you called from then ###-###-####? I looked through our call report and found you did call 11/30/15. Even if you talked with us that day, there still would have been a 30 day notice and $25 cancel fee. In order to have avoided this, the 30 day notice and cancel fee would...
have been paid on 11-2-15. As a resolve I will waive your 30 days but the $25 cancel fee does need to be paid.
I agree to pay the $93.37 to have my account completely closed. I have continually been charged every month $20.00 + a fee being that the card being charged has no money attached to it. I just want to make sure that I will not be required to pay those charges or fees. I am hounded by your collection company (paramount acceptance) every single day multiple times a day. What number can I call to make that payment and have this matter closed. They are not aware of the matter or these arrangements and I get very frustrated trying to explain things. I will take care of the written notice on my end as well. I appreciate your brief response and look forward to getting this matter addressed and closed.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,

We show when you talked with her 5/11/16 the personal training agreement was cancelled and your last payment of $128 was adjusted off. We also show that Jordan at our N. Orem location contacted you to get set up with a new trainer. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

I am rejecting this response because: The contract is not fair and consumer friendly and I was not given propper information. If your business model can not support consumers that cant afford your services and need to cancel, you should leave the market. I was never given all of the fact and my state of mind at the time is one of an altered state.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: Information provided at the point of sale was correct. However, the info on the bill board was deceiving and only intended to get you into the sales office. Only after a 30 minute high pressure sales pitch was the true cost revealed. How can something be "month to month" and include a cancellation cost? As a minimum the billboard should be changed to include the cost of the cancellation fee.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
[redacted], We apologize for any at the point of sale. As we were not there for that conversation we fall back to the signed agreement that does state the terms of cancellation. As a business we were running a promotion that a allowed you to sign up the membership for no cost, and the only thing paid up to date on the membership was the cancellation fee of $25.00 on 11/21/17. We will go ahead and refund this back to your card, please allow 30 days for this to show returned back to your card. Let us know if you have any questions.
[redacted], If you cannot provide proof of a previous request for cancellation the balance is owing. To resolve the matter we will remove the balance from the collection agency. You will need to pay the delinquent balance of $140.32 to our office. You can do this by calling into our member loyalty team at 801-426-8644 extension 3. Once the payment has been received we will remove the account from Aldous & Associates and if any negative marks have been made on your credit those will also be removed by the Collection Agency. Please let me know if you have any questions.
After reviewing the contract was generated 4/30/15. The agreement does indicated there is a 6 months period that a $25 cancellation fee will be owed. I have gone ahead and cancelled the agreement effective today.
[redacted], The terms in which you signed for the 2 personal training contracts were for 13 bi weekly payments, the two ways to cancel while you’re in contract is either due to relocation (if you've moved morethan 25 miles from the nearest gym in our franchise) or if you sell/transfer your...
membership to someone else. We do not have a medical or financial hardship clause for cancellation. In order to cancel due to relocation we'll need a proof of move, which would be a utility bill or lease/rental agreement in your name. There's also a $100 cancellation fee. Since we do not offer a medical cancellation hold we did offer a medical hold at the end of June when you spoke to our office. We let you know that we would push out your billing and place the account on a 4 month hold as a courtesy. We also let you know that your payments would resume in November and that you could send us more medical documentation for review on extending the hold. We did not receive anymore documentation so the account resumed as stated on the 6/28/17 conversation with our office. When you contacted us on 11/17/17 the payment was already setup to draft to your bank which at this point we are not able to make any adjustments. You are more than welcome to send us follow up medical documentation to extend the hold but we are not able to cancel your personal training contract outside the terms listed above. I do see in our notes that we had a conversation in September that you had relocated to Florida and that you would be sending us Proof of relocation but we never received this documentation or the $100 payment to close the account. Up to date you have only paid $69 on your account since the hold has been placed and Brianne has only 4 of the biweekly $80 payments and her $69 enrollment fee for personal training. We have not charged either of your accounts $1000.00. If you would like to proceed with a cancellation for relocation please provide us with your proof of move to Florida and we will process the cancellation of these account and waive the cancellations fees in half for each of you. Let me know if you have any questions.
[redacted],We apologize for the billing issues you have dealt with. I show that Cort the Assistant General Manger did call in to our office on 5/24/17 and the refund was processed back through the February payment of guest privileges. This typically takes 3-5 business to show returned back to the card....
You should see 3 separate refunds each for $7.47. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
I have pulled your membership and do show it was cancelled 1/13/16 the $25.65 was refunded back to a visa card ending [redacted], what was your spouses name and I will verify that there was cancelled and refunded as well. Thank you for your patience in this matter I do understand the frustration. Thanks,
Again, there is no violation regarding the usage of Golds Gym. The memberships are now owned by Vasa Fitness and no longer affiliated with Gold's Gym.The membership renewal may cancel and remaining term of contract may be transferred to someone else.Notations have been made to the membership.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I requested to cancel the account all of it (gym & personal trainer) on Thu 6/11/2015 8:47 AM via email - they told me about the agreement contract. when I went into the local gym in American Fork, I requested a hard copy of the agreement/contract come to find out that one of those contracts were sent to me via the correct email ([redacted]@rocketmail.com), the other one was never given to me, due to that the email on contract is incorrect and those initials are not mine either, they signed them for me. If you clearly see on the contract that the reps name who assisted me in person is named Brock - and on the second contract the name is Michael - so really not my fault, when I sat down with Brock in person, he was telling me yes, I can cancel at any time and never once told about the 1 yr. contract agreement. I have been going to the Gym regardless of all of this harassment, because it is still coming out of my bank account, what am I supposed to do, not attend and let Vasa keep the money, this makes no sense. If I kept going it is because, I have tried numerous times to cancel the gym and personal trainer, I am not able to satisfy this gym by moving 25 miles away or selling the contract to somebody else, I am new in this town and have no family. Please somebody compare these two contracts and tell me how this is my fault, I have had nothing but stress over this, it is way to expensive, I have four kids and with school starting soon, will not have much time to attend. The gym contract I did agree to it, since its a month to month.
Sincerely,
Alma V[redacted]
We have cancelled the membership 3/31/16, and adjusted off the past due amount. The calls from paramount acceptance will stop.
