I am rejecting this response because: The Company refuses to acknowledge they will permanently cease and desist from ever email me again. Their spam was 100% in violation of US can spam laws and never should have been sent to me in the first place. Their F rating on Revdex.com demonstrates the Companies disregard for laws and customer service.

our data is derived from Public Records. We do continually update our data bases. We did not receive any notification that you wished to cancel this trial. The 3 day trial has ended; therefore as stated on the site, you were charged the membership fee on the fourth day, and for every month thereafter. Per your request over the phone on 6/9/2015, and as a onetime courtesy, we have granted one refund for the most current month of membership ($24.95). Please allow 2-5 business days for the refund to process back into your credit or debit card. The remaining charges are non-refundable per the Terms you agreed to. Our contact information, including our address, can be found on the website at PeopleFinders.com/contact. As you initially requested on 6/9/2015 your PeopleFinders.com account is closed and there will be no further automatic billing.

I am rejecting this response based on the fact that at the very least, the 29.95 membership charged last week should be refunded.

I am rejecting this response because:This has not been resolved. Of course there is no account under that email address because I had a one time fee for a one time use and never created an account. People...

Finders started charging to my credit card as if I had an account. They charged me twice a month for multiple months. If this can not be resolved I will notify my bank that all charges from People Finders are fraudulent (which they obviously are since they have no record of an account under my email address).

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Thank you for giving at least  most of the money I see you took afyrt all only 9.95 from my account so I feel the matter closed .

We apologize for the negative experience the caller says they had. We will remove their information. Please provide us with the direct URL that shows the results you want removed. Also the exact way you typed in your search. We ran a search using your name and came up with 80 different matches....

Please help us pin point which one you are so that we remove the correct information.

We have not received payment for the three .98 cent charges that where attempted on our website. Please have the customer confirm with there bank that these charges were not paid. The customers account has been closed.

The customer had signed up for two memberships. We have refunded the $24.95, there will be no further membership renewals.

The customer selected our $1.95 people search option which is $0.98 for the search they did & a $0.97 voucher to run a second search. They then selected to have a PDF file version of the results and paid $0.50 for this. The website states they will be billed for this product. They then selected...

to purchase a full background report on the subject of their search , this product is $19.95. Again, before the customer is billed they are shown what product they have clicked on and the price for it. This is not refundable as services were rendered. We provided them with all public record for the individual they searched in our data base.

The charge was posted correctly online and approved at the time of purchase. No refund will be issued.

The customer chose a trial membership and had three days to cancel before being billed. Also, the customer would have needed to approved the three day trial in order to complete the purchase. Per out Terms of Use, no refund will be issued.

Below is a link showing the product you are referring to (using random criteria to protect your private search history). [redacted] Our records show the 6 Months of UNLIMITED...

Reports $9.95/mo ($59.70 Today) product was selected. As stated your card was billed $59.70 that day for 6 months of access to our service. One Single Background Check Report on PeopleFinders.com is $29.95. We have reviewed your account and found that you have already generated over three reports on at least three separate individuals. Per the Terms you agreed to and the usage on the account, the charge is non-refundable. As our service provides access to unlimited reports and other features for a membership fee, our Terms do not allow for refunds but simply allow users to cancel anytime to avoid future billing. Per your request over the phone on 9/17/2015 the automatic renewal of your membership was cancelled. Your membership will expire on 3/14/2016 and if you are free to access the service until that time.

I am rejecting this response for this reason:Although I am grateful that the Revdex.com’s influence has helped me to get a refund of some of my money (four out of 13 months, and another month as a direct response to my complaint to the company), I believe the company is misleading customers by not making it clear that a subscription is being taken out and not just a one-time service.   To be as objective as possible about this complaint, after cancelling the "subscription" I was not aware I had initiated, I went back to the PeopleFinders web site to try the process again from the beginning.  Try as I might, I was NOT able to find ANY note that by initiating a search for information an annual subscription was about to be committed to.  No tiny fine print, no check box, NO evidence that a subscription was in the works and not a "free" individual person search.   I have come away with the belief that the company is participating in deceptive practices that are considerable worse then bait and switch practices.  In fact, their practices seem to be fraudulent.  As such, I think the proper reaction from the company should be a full refund of all fees improperly charged.

The customer was not told that we can email sources of public information. We only report what is listed in public records. The information can be removed from our website under Contact Us at www.peoplefinders.com but this does not remove this information off of public records.

We are sorry that you did not receive the results you were hoping for. As you stated, the service you purchased was a month of access to our database. When you run a search, our system searches through billions of public records and collects every piece of relevant information....

PeopleFinders pays for access to this data, so the charge is for us to conduct a search on your behalf, not to return a specific result. Please review the Terms of Use on PeopleFinders.com if you would like more information about refunds or other policies.

The website clearly states that the product selected comes with a membership. As the Terms of use state the product is not refundable. Services were rendered. However, we will refund the most current months billing of $24.95 on 12/18/15. There will be no further billings.
