response because: I was never aware that I had an active account.  I indicated that I did not want an account at the one time that I tried their service.  I have never used the account, and never believed that I had ever agreed to an account.  It was not until now that we noticed the monthly charge on our credit card. It is quite clear, from the number of consumer complaints against this company, that they engage in questionable business practices designed to take advantage of people like myself.  It is totally illogical that I, or anyone else, would maintain an account, at a cost of $25/month, that they NEVER used.  Their assertion that I Did not request termination of the account until today is totally fallacious.  I indicated, on the phone, that I did not want the account established in May of 2015.

I am rejecting this response because: they failed to refund all of my money and they continue to use an illegal method to charge credit cards.  I indicated to them that I would be writing a letter to the State of California alleging non-compliance with California's auto-renewal law, among other laws.  I appreciate the efforts of the Revdex.com; you all are terrific, but this is really not about $100.  This is about a company who lures internet traffic to its website (I never typed in Peoplefinders.com) and engages in practices prohibited by the State of California to hook unsuspecting users into use their services once and then charge them each month until the customer "catches" it.  The customer calls the company's "800" number to get an explanation of the charge and then they refuse to cancel the accounts.They are correct about the initial $9 charge.  I misremembered.  It also does not matter.  I agreed to the initial charges on my credit card in August!  I did not remember the specific amounts, but I am not contesting that transaction.Either way, you do not need to worry about it.  I will bring it to the attention of the State.  This company is very slippery and I understand Forbes recognized them as being very profitable.  No one should profit from an internet version of the bait and switch.

on Joy Ludwig for $9.95. This service was rendered. They purchased that report with the trial membership. Since they canceled the membership they were not charged the $24.95 monthly fee, they were only billed the $2.95 for 3 days as the website states. There will be no refund per the terms of use and service rendered.
