I purchased a 60" TV Model E60-CI started to notice the left side of the screen starting to Dim about months agoNow the left side of the screen is dim and almost unwatchableI called support and they said that they will not do anything because it was outside of warrantyI went online ( VIZHDTV.COM ) and looked on the forumI see that there are hundreds of complaints about the same model with the same problemThe back lighting is defective and VIZIO knows it and will do nothing about thisI saved up to buy this TV and cant afford to buy a new TV every 1-yearsplease help meThis is not fair for Vizio to sell products that they know will not last more that 1-years so you will have to buy another oneI am sure you have heard about this problem and I hope that someone will take this company to court and make them change their business practices I also looked on line and they have several websites on how to fix this issueI spoke to a parts company and they are say

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I appreciate the fact vizio called me in regards to this complaint, however, I called back on five occassions to finally get a respone back hours laterI was told by vizio that due to the fact ITI (their repair company) only sees broken televisions that this does not impact the need for a recallI feel since ITI indeed said there are a high number of the tvs that have issues that a recall still should be warrentedI have only had this tv for a year and a half and was told the repairs on it cost more than the tv itself, therefore it is a total lossIf the repair conpany states there is a high number of tvs with the same problem, I still feel as though I should have a exchange in regards to this matterThe simple fact I spent almost on a tv only a year and a half ago that is now rendered useless is not fair Vizio needs to look at this prpblem and correct it before more customers are plauged with the same problem I now am inA discount on a new tv is not a fair resolution seeing I just purchased this one a year and a half ago and what makes vizio think I would want to purchase another piece of junk from them? I own a Vizio E601i-amodel number tv Serial no is [redacted] , after my tv failing and calling Vizio multiple times Ive decided to go this routeThe tv has a known recall and my tv falls within the serial number range listed online at Vizio.com Vizio lied repeatedly on the phone that there is no recall on this product but when simply going to google and typing in "e601i-arecall" a link to Vizios website states otherwise! They told me on the phone that since the tv did not fail within the first months of use that there is nothing they can do for me, I purchased the tv in January of an have the invoice to prove itWhen this recall was posted Vizio gave extended warranties to customers affected within the serial number range of [redacted] to [redacted] http:/ [redacted] They have tried everything in their power from holding true to this recallI have even spoken with ITI who is the company Vizio uses for repairs

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The issue was not weather or not the TV would be covered under the warranty as the TV was less than a year old it wasThe issue became we were told many times by multiple representatives that the process from the initiation of the warranty process until the delivery of the TV would be 7-daysI called Vizio on 9/11/because the TV failed to turn onThe representative set it up so someone would come to our house to fix it9/12/received a call from Vizio that was cancelled and Vizio was shipping a tv, and again confirmed with the rep several times the process would take 7-days9/18/called Vizio again and received confirmation that [redacted] received the TV9/22/received a call from [redacted] that they were not delivering the TV until 9/28/Called 9/22/called Vizio again and received confirmation that the TV was processed through [redacted] system on the 19thpoke to the Super [redacted] and he stated once the TV goes to the delivery service there is nothing he can do except send an escalation email as it is out of his handsIt could take hours for [redacted] to respond to the escalation emailThe supervisor gave tracking number and number for us to call ***Tracking number given en [redacted] 9/22/called [redacted] at [redacted] gave her the tracking number given by [redacted] at Vizio [redacted] confirmed my information and said I was sent up for Delivery on 9/23/between 12pm-4pm9/23/no delivery.9/23/called [redacted] gave him the tracking same tracking numberHe pulled up someone else's information and they were scheduled for a Delivery on 9/23/instead of me [redacted] gave the correct tracking number and said that my delivery was still on 9/28/Which was out of the timeframe of the 7-business days that was given 9/24/ [redacted] from Vizio called and said that he would see about getting the TV on Monday or Tuesday (9/26-9/27) and that if [redacted] would not deliver it those days then he would look into other avenues for me to get the TVHe was supposed to follow up to see if the TV was going to be delivered in that timeframe and never did 9/received a call from [redacted] at [redacted] and she said she just received an escalation regarding the TV and as the Trucks were already out the TV could not be delivered on 9/She was working on a delivery for 9/She stated that [redacted] had 7-days from when they received the TV to deliver itShe is the second person at [redacted] to tell me thisI told her that Vizio promised 7-10days from the start of the process and she said it wasn't true I had to call Vizio again and again the issue had to be escalated and [redacted] again called back and was able to get a delivery for 9-and the TV has been deliveredI am upset with the process and miscommunication that we had to go through to finally get this TVNot to mention that when I called the representative agree that the TV was being delivered out of the time frame promised yet no one could do anythingThe deliver process was stressful as [redacted] will schedule a day but not give a time frame for delivery until the day before the deliveryTo expect people to take a day off of work for an item that may or may not be delivered is upsetting Regards, [redacted]

I am amazed day after day of how many businesses that don't warranty their product and have no morals respecting their customers who buy their crap and give them their hard working money I simply had a faulty remote control xrtwith my purchased tv Contacted your rude customer service who said that 'I am lying and don't know what I am talking about' and refused to replace that remote (Literally $on [redacted] ) So me as a software engineer does not know what I am talking about and that uneducated customer service knows all about it Great job Vizio
