Dear Revdex.com Representative: VIZIO, Inc. (“VIZIO”) is in receipt of the Revdex.com’s (“Revdex.com”) notice regarding complaint number [redacted]. As always, VIZIO takes any complaint reported to the Revdex.com very seriously. Please be advised that VIZIO has determined that the...

VIZIO television in question in this complaint has been out of warranty by approximately 2 years.  A copy of VIZIO’s warranty can be viewed online at http://www.vizio.com/warranty.  In the interest of providing customer satisfaction VIZIO has offered the customer a replacement VIZIO television at a discounted price.  This is the only offer VIZIO is able to make at this time. At VIZIO, the quality of our products is very important to us.  We rely on and appreciate product feedback from our customers and encourage anyone who has questions about or problems with our products to contact us at https://vizio.custhelp.com/ for information and assistance.   Sincerely, VIZIO, Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Vizio offered a discount on another TV that was nearly $800. The $1,000 TV I purchased 9 months ago had a warranty that they will not honor. They claim that something hit the tv to cause the picture to go out, which is not the case. My husband and I would hardly sit and throw objects at it. That tv has never been touched other than a light dusting. I didn't even know the where the power button was located as we always used a remote. They simply looked at a picture and made this claim so it would void a warranty and they wouldn't have to replace it. There is a curve in the lines that I appeared at the very bottom of the tv. That was not there in my original call to them. There was an approximate 6 inch wide white line that popped up in the center. When I called first, I was told that was a manufacturing defect. I was told to take pictures to send them to verify that it was indeed the Vizio TV I called on, and that the lines appeared at all times...which I did. While on the phone the first time, they were notified that more lines kept appearing even while speaking with them. By the time I got to take pictures, the entire screen went out to a million different lines. After looking at reviews from other customers, I have found over 1,400 complaints of other customers. Many of them also stated that Vizio would not honor their warranties. So people should be informed about this issue. As to there offer, why would I want to spend another $800 on another Vizio TV when one that was 9 months old quit working. After dealing with their customer service, I would hardly say I would be pleased with that offer. A solution is to fix a problem, not tell a customer to buy a new one.
Vizio should also realize that customers are what makes their business successful. They don't seem to have many happy customers who have purchased their products. I couldn't find any sites that gave them over a 1 star review. Customers will figure out this customer, and they will eventually stay away from these products. When a customer asks to speak to a manager, I don't expect to be told, "why, they won't do anything g any different." Let me decide that for myself. And when being asked for corporate information, they flat out refused to give me their information.
Regards,

Please be advised that the VIZIO product in question in this complaint...

is covered under VIZIO’s manufacturer’s warranty.  A copy of the warranty can be viewed online at http://www.vizio.com/warranty.  A VIZIO customer service representative has been in contact with the customer and worked with the customer and VIZIO's third party delivery service to arrange for the delivery of the customer's replacement VIZIO product.  VIZIO has also agreed to extend the customer's warranty on the replacement product from 90 days to 6 months due to the time delay in delivering the replacement product to the customer.  The customer has accepted VIZIO's offer.  Accordingly, VIZIO considers this matter resolved.
At VIZIO, the quality of our products is very important to us.  We rely on and appreciate product feedback from our customers and encourage anyone who has questions about or problems with our products to contact us at https://vizio.custhelp.com/ for information and assistance.

I can't afford another 60 inch vizio tv and the cost of the replacement tv is basically the same as just buying one at the store and refusing to do monthly payments cause not everyone has 1000s of dollars to be buying a new tv and forking out that cash all at once. However Vizio doesn't care about their customers satisfaction and have lost another customer due to lack of customer service. Now I know why Aarons stopped carrying Vizio products cause Aarons is protecting their customers from wasting 1000s on defective tvs and products made by vizio. Vizio doesn't stand behind their products and are only worried about lining their pockets. I'm wanting a check or a replacement tv for free. Until then I will continue to write to Revdex.com cause I'm not satisfied with the resolution.

Once again I'm totally baffled! Vizio must have a form letter that is automatically sent out in response to any and all inquiries.  I received a message from [redacted]; Badge Number 402 On Thursday 8/21/14.  In said message he stated that he would be out of the office on Friday and Saturday 8/22 and 8/23.  However he would be available on Sunday 8/24 to discuss how we can resolve this complaint.
I called him on sunday 8/24, and although we could not come to a mutual agreement; I felt that he was trying.  in fact he requested information from me pertaining to the purchases and he also gave me an e-mail address which is:  photos.vizio.com to send it to.   If necessary I can forward a copy of that e-mail for your review. In addition, because I could no longer access the message that he ([redacted]) left on my mobile phone I wrote a post on the Vizio FB page requesting that he get in touch with me... which he did.

So once again the information that you're receiving from Vizio is inaccurate, disingenuous and deceitful!

I just called Vizio and talked to [redacted] and she told me that the parts were apparently ordered and she would have to get back to me. I think that this is very poor service and how can they consider the case closed when they don't even know what's going on.

This is obviously a "copy and paste" by the company, of their prior message/response.  I reject this as the issue is not just monetary, but having to do with customer service lacking by their company. I would be happy to hear any attempt at an apology or explanation, as this was not a standard "warranty coverage" as their recent response suggest, but rather a long "battle" I was forced to undergo in order to be made whole due to their third party (HD Repair), damaging my television and causing me a lot of stress and countless hours of dealing with this.

We purchased a 55" VIZIO Model E550i-B2 March 30, 2015. After eight months of use the picture no longer comes on. Customer service tells me that the back light is bad and the tv cannot be repaired. I explained that although the TV is 14 months old we are gone in the winter and the tv was unplugged for five months. They were unconcerned and unwilling to compromise in any way. I assured them they had just lost another customer!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I have received the recertified tv and am waiting for confirmation of the 180 day warranty from February 11, 2016 when it was delivered.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I have a VIZIO TV, which is a TV manufactured by VIZIO.  The TV I have, and the photos that I sent, do show a Manufacturer’s defect, as it is failing LED Zones.  This is not the only issue.  The TV locks up, the TV blurs.  The VIZIO TV shows shadowed dotted lines moving across the screen.  The VIZIO TV has vertical shadowed lines one light images.

I do not understand how VIZIO can say it is not their issue, when everything that is happening is a Manufacturer’s Defect.

Thanks,[redacted]
